Guys , i believe most of you have flash your xt720 to CM 6 , and i'm planning to do so , but this is the very first time i'm flashing a new rom , there is many things that i don't understand , do someone mind to help me out ?
1) i learned that after flashing CM 6 , all SYSTEM APPS will gone ? I know this include google apps and what i have to do is just to flash google pack . But what about some important apps such as usb.apk or packageinstaller.apk ? And what about livewallpaper picker.apk ? All those included in the google pack ?
2) At the xda thread , it was written that camcorder cannot works well , so does this mean camcorder cannot function at all ?
3) What is the cpu frequency (clock speed) for this rom ?
4) Developer mentioned that we need to create sd-ext / link2sd directory so that we can use link2sd . Previously on the original rom i've create sdext2 and store most apps in it , if i switch to CM 6 , is there something else i need to do/create ? Or i can use directly ? I don't really understand what he means by create sd-ext/link2sd directory
5) I've changed the font before , after i flashed , what will happen to the font i apply ? And can i still view chinese / korean / japan words on my phone ?
PLS don't post me a link to the CM 6 thread because i have went and even posted my Q but so far no reply

1. System apps will be included in the ROM. What is missing is gmail, gtalk etc that you have to flash gapps package to get it back. Those apps that you downloaded from market will be lost only. Just download them back.
2. Not functional well = may be not working. But once you get a functional Rom with camera, it will continue to work. The software just broken and not hardware.
3. Should be original clock as your phone unless you overclock it
4. You don't have to Recreate. You just have to flash the file and write the command and it will work. What ext can do is you can store your apk's cache or data completely in SD so that you can install more apps.
5. Every android phone can view every font. You just have to install Chinese keyboard to type Chinese word.

Thanks very much ! Finally a person who answer to my Q . As for point 4 , i have run the command on previous rom and now if i switched to cm6 i still have to rewrite the command ? And what is the file that you said to flash ?
As for overclock , is milestone overclock compatible with the rom ? I used it for my original rom , overclocked to 1000MHz .

Take a2sd script. Flash it. Go to terminal emulator, type
Su
A2sd cachesd <<<<<<<< it will move cache to SD
A2sd data2SD <<<<<<<< move data to SD. Not recommended as it will take a long time to boot.
I'm not sure. You should ask your kernel developers.

Is this app ment to be working with other devices than SGSA?
It's definitely not working with my LG device. (LG E975, Carbon 4.4.2 geehrc version)

I coudnt download a pure deodexed rom so i based it on jellykat again.
This is quite close to my previous roms with some added features
Main difference is that I managed to install most apps as user apps
so u can just uninstall it like a downloaded app
which basically means that a lot of space saved(300-500mb) and have stopped misbehaving

Bug/Solution and Description of Apps
Bugs and the fixes are:-
- Some of the apps dont install (nova launcher seeder and camera 360) try it n tell me if they do
- Some of the apps like operamini quickpic and mx player close on opening.
FIX- Either dload from somewhere
Or
go to mi file explorer swipe to bring shortcut menu
select system apps and find ur app.apk and select it and reinstall
It will go back to normal
NOTE- if u are facing problem everytime u restart
go to mi file explorer root
go to system then app then select the apks
copy and paste in /data/app then delete from system app(make sure copying was successful)
Reboot- what u hv done is convert an system app to an user app can also be done in titanium backup
- Reboot problem- Some users reported bootloop on restarting
it was a problem in jellykat and still persists. I hve not personally experienced it yet
FIX- Dont use reboot command instead use Hotboot

get xblast tools[Xposed] and enable advanced menu from misc settings.
- Iphone Launcher Feeling out of place (wrong dpi?)
FIX - Go to app settings in rom and select i launcher and set dpi to 110.

I odexed my CM11. It is working. make sure you have enough space in system partition.

hello friend . i already use the odexer tool . almost all of the system app disappear and some is force close even when i reboot my phone .

that is beacuse your of less space in system partition and hence all apps couldn't be odexed..try using apps like root explorer or others and delete not so important system apps like wisper push and all ( dont remove necessery apps i assume you know what they are if you are gonna odex it )..as far as i remember, odexing apps plus framework needs atleast 55 mb space in system cu, i tried odexing cm11 earlier builds ( lot earlier ) to have more performance and less lag...if you are doing for same reason then what i think is rc14 is already quite flawless and works like charm..doeant need odexing..

it because of lack system partition, if you want you need delete some file in system like ringtone and other..

Not a complete Rom
Please Be aware that this is just an update/mod/theme for the device and not a complete rom with all the required files, (it's just 54mb), so you need your stock files as well. it needs integrating into a rom, the theme is pretty good, although the bootanimation is of Cynogenmod.
I hardly noticed any bugs (just that the hot boot doesn't work. so don't use it)
rest is fine.
