There is currently no way to unlock the phone for international SIM without being a Sprint customer and having the phone activated on an account.

from a lot of forum threads i'm getting Bias information:
so, It is possible to use GSM international but nobody can do that unless Sprint authorize person do something to the phone or account?
so Unlocked version doesn't exit? or what Unlocked mean on SM-N900P?

the phone can only be unlocked for International SIM cards by Sprint, and for this to be able to be done, the phone has to be activated on a Sprint account. this is the ONLY unlock method currently available for this particular Note 3 model (Sprint variant, SM-N900P)

I haven't been able to find any solid information on SIM unlocking this phone, so I'm asking here. Back on Verizon, unlocking a global phone didn't seem to help much, as it still didnt work on other carriers (such as when travelling to India). Will the HTC One when SIM unlocked work?

The HTC One is a GSM-based phone. It will work on any GSM-based network, regarding calls/text/data(up to HSPA+). Not sure about LTE because of the way the frequency/bands work.

Verizon was CDMA which had limited availability in foreign countries. HTC One has a sim card slot (even the Sprint version, which is CDMA, should have a slot). Once you sim unlock, it should be compatible with most major countries since most countries use GSM - as long as the frequency bands are the same.
You can look up the frequency bands phone supports in the htc one's specs.
I got as a gift a Galaxy Mega 6.3" (SCH-R960) and its for US Cellular. They don't have coverage or dealers in my area (CA, US) so I need to flash it to work with any other CDMA network. How could I do that?

unlocking US Cellular Samsung MEGA
All you have to do is go to a US Cellular store and they can unlock the phone for you. However, this limits you to roaming (voice) and 3G (data). Doesn't cost you any more or mess up your service, but lack of 4G is painful. Also note that the MEGA does not have hotspot mode so you can't use its data capabilities for any other machine.
If store won't unlock is still doable to unlock them and sprint phones relatively easy or pretty cheap depending how handy you are

Good day folks,
I have purchased a 900p from a friend in USA for a good deal, the problem is that the phone has a bad ESN and was for sprint, I was wondering if i take this phone to Vietnam will it with with any regular sim card? I'm not expecting any thing fancy like 4g or LTE in VN but I just want to know if this phone will work in VN, I've read from multiple sources that the 900p is internationally unlocked but is locked for domestic US sims, can any one verify if that is true? also aware I might not be able to do a SPRINT SIM unlock because of the BAD ESN. Any one have any suggestions?

It won't work in VN unless you ask sprint to unlock the international sim lock. But they won't help you because yours is a bad ESN one.
Just waiting for heros to work out how to unlock without sprint's help.
I have a Samsung galaxy nexus i515 for Verizon, and it uses a mini-sim card.
I wanna know of there's any way to unlock the phone for using in another country with gsm, a friend of mine, mention something about changing the ROM, to unlock the gsm frequencies.
So what can I do?

The Verizon Galaxy Nexus does not support GSM at all. This is a hardware limitation, not something that can be overcome by any software or unlocking means. You could have it flashed to another prepaid CDMA network or see if Straight Talk would support it under the BYOP program or something along those lines.

Edit: And yes, I know many VZW phones that have SIM cards can be world phones and work here or be modded to work here on other GSM networks. I actually do stuff like that at my shop, but this is not one of those phones.
I contacted Sprint to activate my unlocked T-Mo s9+ but they were not able to do so online and at the store.
Like the S8+ this phone has the CDMA bands for activation on Sprint. Any one else encounter this issue?
Do you have a Sprint SIM?

Yes the rep at the store gave me one too but could not add the device to the Sprint database. A ticket had to be created so they could try to add it.
In my experience only the Verizon and Sprint branded phones unlocked will work with any carrier. Generally the AT&T and Tmobile phones only have GSM radios so they won't work on Sprint.
Were you able to resolve this issue ?
Hey were you able to resolve this issue ?
