Spigen glas.tr slim OR iLoome Screenmate 9H - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I'm sure the pros and cons were mentioned somewhere on this forum but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for as there are hundreds of pages of comments. I'm undecided between Spigen glas.tr slim & iLoome screenmate 9H for the note 3 and would like some input on which would be the best bet. They both seem equivalent as far as what they offer but would like to know from those who actually have used them. I've looked at Amazon reviews and still couldn't make my mind up. I plan on using one of these with the Otterbox Commuter.
My main concern is that it be truly bubble free so no bubbles form months down the line and no adhesion issues. From Amazon reviews I've seen people mention that after a few months bubbles had formed. If anyone has used these for a few months, do you have any bubbles and what are your thoughts?

I've got the iloome and there are no bubbles. I've never used the other one but can recommend this one. It wasn't too hard to install. You kind of have one shot at it. I found a video on YouTube where the guy places the glass on top first then puts blue tape on one side. So its like a door. Then he lifts the glass up, peels the plastic and drops it straight onto the screen. That's the method I used and it worked out perfectly. Once you do that just start pushing from the middle out to get rid of all the air.

I've had my SPIGEN for about 6 months now with zero issues. I never has bubbles and nor do I have any now. It can withstand some abuse too. I dropped my phone on a gravel driveway, straight on the glass. Didn't move a hair.
Btw, using it in combination with an Otterbox commuter.

spigen user here for me it's worth it

Been using iloome glass for 7 month now. No scratch, no crack, no bubbles. Still clear and vibrant as I first got it. Totally recommend their screen protectors.

Do they extend up to the edge of the screen? Because there are some cases that overlaps a TINY portion of the screen like caseology

and to think that I paid $ 36.

Get the zerolemon tempered glass. Its about $9 and has the same cutout as spigen with the curved edges.

Maybe off topic, but their neo hybrid case is a complete crap. Outrageously expensive and poor to medium quality. Not necessarily a bad brand, just too expensive for the quality they offer. IMO spigen products are NOT worth the money.

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago and im happy with it. I only use it in the weekends because I need more protection when at work. I bought it for $20 from Amazon but I would not pay more than that for it.

My iloome didn't. Also, I don't know about Spigen, but my experience with iloome support has been amazing. Not sure how much I can say, but I am seriously impressed by how supportive they were when I contacted them numerous times.

iLoome screenmate flex

I think I am going to preorder one of the iLoome screenmate flex glass protectors. If anybody is using or has used an iLoome product I would like to hear you thoughts on the quality of it. I saw that these same protectors were being used on other phones. From what I read they are good protectors. I just haven''t hear much of this company in the past.
Bought mines for 16 bucks. Well worth the price. It was easy to install and it's smooth as glass. Couple things to note, The sensors and the front facing cameras are covered by the glass. But i haven't had any issues with it.

I have it and it is great. Smooth as glass and haven't noticed any problems so far.
It's odd that Amazon now says pre-order. I ordered it last week and received it a few days later. It's worth the money, easy to install, fits great. You wouldn't know it was there if you didn't put it on yourself.
Very good product. I was hesitant with it being so bendy and thin. . But once it's on. . It s glass and thin.

I got the flex, and I almost wish I had gotten the one with hardness rating 9H. I mean the flex is smooth and the S-pen slides on it good, but you can tell that it isn't quite as hard as glass when you push down on the S-pen. Overall I am happy with it, and I am not planning on ordering a new one or anything.

Are you sure you're not confusing the give on the S-pen when pressed with give on the protector? The nib on the S-Pen moves when pressed. You can see this by just pressing it with your finger.
I'm curious since I'm looking at getting the flex as well.
I'm sure. I used the Note 3 for about a week without it before it came. I mean its not like I regret buying it, because it is the smoothest protector I have ever had. I am just saying that if you try to notice the difference you will notice it, but it is such a slight difference that it doesn't affect much. I would love to see if the Iloome protector with a 9H rating feels like. Bottom line, it is worth the money, but you can tell it isn't as hard as glass.

I just purchased a 9H on eBay from iLoome and should have by Friday. I will report back.
Note: iLoome is the seller on ebay and the 9H is in stock while the Flex is b/o until the 25th.

Umm, it is glass.. I just tried sliding my S Pen over my Note 3 (with Screenmate Flex) and over my S3 (bare glass) and couldn't notice any discernible difference. If it does have an effect, it is extremely minor and you would really have to be looking for it to ever notice. The main difference between this and the thicker tempered glass version is just the hardness rating. This one is an 8H and that one is 9H, so it slightly more prone to scratches than the other version (but still much better than any plastic protector). The advantage is how thin it is.
Thanks for the input. I ordered one and got it installed today. I am glad that my seidio surface case still fits. It didn't fit with the bodyguardz pure installed.
Go ahead and add a Spigen Slim Case Metal Slate and your phone will feel super premium. I ordered the 9th one still en route

How long have you had the screen protector? Iloome clearly states that the flex version comes with a coating that may be sticky or rough at first but should go away after a few days.

I just received my iloome flex and installed on the phone with spigen hybrid neo case..The flex has some coating so it's not smooth yet. Hopefully it should become better with use. In my opinion it's a lot better than plastic protectors. Installation has to be done slowly and precisely.. mine went perfect. I tested the proximity sensor...no issues at all..heck I even put a cheap plastic screen protector on top of the iloome flex glass to test and the proximity is working just fine..also tried a normal calling test and "Test your android"app to confirm. Well so far I am totally satisfied...must wait and see about the roughness. Pics attached..?

i'm really thinking of getting this after reading the reviews and posts on this forum
The iloome flex definitely gets smoother over time. Not as smooth as the tempered glass variants, but still pretty darn smooth. However, the flex is a finger print magnet. It's also harder to clean than the native screen or other tempered glass screen protectors I've tried.
Got the Iloome also, best protector I ever had.
Easy to install, and fits perfectly.
As mentioned, the first few days it's a bit sticky, but after a few days it's perfect.
I can't say it's a fingerprint magnet, it takes less prints then without.

Spigen Screen Protectors

I was recently shopping around for screen protectors for my new Note 3 and after reading some of the reviews on Amazon about the Spigen ones I am a but reluctant to commit to using them because of the negative SPEN response comments.. Anyone using the Oleophobic, Crystal, Anti-Fingerprint that can confirm or deny S-Pen problems with resistance and skipping?
I used them on my Nexus 4 and SGS2 previously and they were great, just don't know if I should commit to them with this unit if there are s-pen issues.. I got the Neo Hybrid case which works great..
Nevermind, just ordered the glass one.

I'm using the spigen ultra oleophobic and so far I am quite satisfied. Good sensitivity across the screen with the s-pen and less fingerprints.

Are the sticky sides of these washable to remove the lint already stuck to them?
I had mine hovering over the screen as I peeled off the backing only to watch darn near every cat hair and piece of lint in the house float in my direction.
I have since read about using tape in a steaming bathroom to prevent/remove some of the dust particles trapped in the glue but I may have to wash it then do this if there's any glue left on it.

I used to be a big fan of spigen screen protectors, to a certain extent I still am.... but.... I saw danny's winget's videos and got introduced to iloome.
bought one for my s4 but ended up selling that phone before I applied it. sold it to my friend and applied it on his, damn I am so sold on iloome flex! for 17 bucks, I bought 2 for my white and black note 3's
For the price skip the spigen ultra crystal and get the iloome flex! I still like spigen products, but just feel like I am getting less value for my money these days than the competition.
Well I used an Amzer Shatterproof Screen protector for my iPhone 5 and it was very impressive and I liked it...there was no worries of any scratch and marks...I still remember when I just dropped my coffee at my phone at starbucks and I was scared of the screen of phone but it was surprising one to me that there was no impact on the phone screen and the touch was also working smooth....that was a big relief to me....I got it from Fommy a Re-seller site.....So I am just expecting the same Amzer shatterproof for my N3 too.... whenever I will get that will surely update with the reviews....

Most are just tempered glass with adhesive on one side and oleophobic coating on the other. My understanding is that they put an extra layer into the rhinoshield, a plastic layer under the glass. That will absorb and dissipate impact forces.
I'm working from memory here, I think this is what their kickstand page said a few months ago. I didn't see this description today, but their current description implies it.

they also state on their site that the max hardness of there products go up to 3h..sounds outdated and over priced when the avaverage tg screen protector around the same price has all those features + a hardness avg of 7-9h...for example i am using the mime feather glass on my note 3...free shipping plus you can add an aluminum button for 1 dollar on top of that.

Thanks for the info bros. I am now considering getting one for my Note 3 but not sure which brand/company should I choose. I am looking at SPIGEN again since their support is finally catching up with complaints and they seem to be redeeming themselves. I just checked out mime and it looks great as well. Any more suggestions and if so which is/are the ones you recommend (wonder is someone has done a youtube vid comparison)

I have the Mime and love it. There are no signs of bubbles or lifting edges, and it feels great without the extra button. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it as much with the extra button. The only thing about it i don't like is the wide cutout for the speaker plus sensors.
There are cheaper models that seem to be the same as the Mime at a much lower price, but if I picked a new one today I'd probably get the Rhinoshield.

Get the Spigen Glas.tr. It's solid. I have it and am really surprised at how sturdy, clear, and responsive it is. No smudges or scratches either.

i am quite surprised there haven't been threads with people experimenting with glass protectors and plastic protectors on their own. either way it's redundant but on the other hand can extend the longevity of the glass protectors if having glass isn't your number one priority.

Bodyguardz Tempered Glass

In my opinion total junk. I grabbed one to install and it's beginning to annoy the crap out of me. Dust and lint just collects all around the fan edges like the adhesive is totally exposed. Since the bezel is black it's just a definite eye sore.
It's pretty thick as well. Lost a bit of screen sensitivity.
I had a bodyguardz tempered glass protector on my note 2 and really liked it. I went with the Verizon-sold tempered glass screen protector, and I'm pretty happy with it so far. I am concerned it might be a bit too thick though. Usually no problems but occasionally experience unresponsive parts of the screen, though it's temporary.
Yea having the non responsive issues with the body guardz.

I picked one of these up on eBay for $6.99. No gimmick here. I have had tempered glass on my last 2 phones, and for this price you can't beat the product. Applied perfectly, fit perfectly. Using a Tudia TPU case, and the edges of the case fit over it fine. Highly recommend, you won't be sorry. We will see how it performs, but is up to Zagg standards so far and fifth of the price.
The Skinomi one on Amazon (link) works great and has rounded edges. My only complain is that there is a 1mm gap on each side, but is not that noticable.

MIME USA Feather+ Glass Screen Protector

Is anyone interested in getting a Feather+ glass screen protector from MimeUSA? I emailed them about their selection for the G3 and all they currently have is the Ghost Glass (which I believe is 0.3mm thick). I emailed them asking if they will be releasing the Feather+ and they stated that if they get enough demand for it they would definitely make them. Send them an email if you're interested!
I've always used Spigen glass products on my previous phones (iphone 4, 5, 5s) and went with the Glas.tr nano slim this time as well with my G3. But I did get a Feather+ for my 5s after the Spigen one had cracked. I was extremely happy with it. It was cheaper than the one from Spigen, and the oleophobic coating on it lasted A LOT longer as well.
I've currently got the ghost protector on my g3. I really like it. I had the ghost protector on my note 3 and liked it too. Their products are quality and they stand behind their warranty (40% off purchase of a new one no questions asked). Plus, it's American made and an American company. Living in the US I'm more inclined to buy from those companies who make their products here. I recommend them to anyone. Definitely purchase from them.

I just made a purchase of the Ghost Glass and look forward to using it. I was really hoping for the Feather+ but I'm alright with the Ghost haha. Quick question if that's alright with you. Does the screen protector have the top portion cut our like a lot of the glass screen protectors in the market, or does it only have a cut out for the speaker?
The only cut out is for the ear piece at the top. It makes it really clean looking. Most of the time I don't even know that I have it on. Covers the full front. Doesn't have any effect on pictures taken with the front cam either. Just a really good product. Just don't try to reapply it after you've set it. Make sure you get all dust and hair and finger prints off the screen and then lay it down and you'll be good. The thing applies itself to the screen and is bubble free.

Funny thing... I had my first one for my G3 break after I stupidly tried to remove a hair from under it. I ended up cracking a small piece and it wouldn't lay down without a bubble under it. I sent them a picture of it and asked just for a 40% off code to buy another one. They ended up sending me a code for a free replacement with free shipping. I also had replaced one on my Note 3 and they quickly sent me a 40% off replacement code. I've had nothing but great customer service from them.

We are in the process of gauging demand for the G3 Feather. If we receive enough requests for this glass, we will definitely make it happen!
So if you are interested then let them know!

But are they more expensive than companies with comparable product quality like spigen for example? Not even close. They are way more competitive with pricing and their service is second to none. For quality and service three is really only one choice.

Don't get a Spigen screen protector. This is my 4th one with issues. It cracked for no reason I didn't drop it. I purchased the regular MIME one and it's easily 100x better. I emailed them about the feather hopefully enough people will so they can produce it.
Here is my Spigen that just randomly cracked.

MIME's support is definitely great. I emailed them about feather glass and they gave the same response @TONY206 posted. Hopefully they do make them
I really do love mime and they have awesome customer service! I just won't get the Feather Glass any more... It looks and feels awesome but it is way too fragile. Barely tape the edge of it and it will crack. Remember it'd not curved at all. Stick the the ghost I have had a much better time with it.

Yeah the edge of the feather glass for my M8 cracked after I dropped something on it. It probably would have survived if it was curved like the Feather+. Good thing about MIME's support is the half off code they give for a replacement.

Ya they only seem to have the Feather+ for iPhone... Tell you the truth though if you use a case on your LG g3... Might as well go with the ghost glass since it will sit below the lip of the case anyway.

Would somebody mind putting a pic of the mime? I'm leaning towards that one over spigen. I currently have skinomi which is great but it leaves to much space on the edges. Its meant for cases. But I love the coating on it. So smooth. Is mime like that?
