[Q] Recover Google account details from phone? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey.
I have this friend who's about to switch her phone. Pretty much the only thing holding her back is her Google account - her phone is connected, but she doesn't remember the password and doesn't remember the stuff to reset it. It's her G+ account, and she doesn't want to lose access to G+. She won't tell me the phone's model and stuff but tells me it's a Motorola running 4.0.4 ICS.
Is there any way to extract the Google account details from the phone?
Thanks.

[Q] Google sync problem with contacts

Hello,
i'm facing a problem with my wildfire by syncing the contacts from my phone to the google contacts. i already found different threads regarding that case, but there was no solution yet.
Found out following thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=557075 but unfortunately it doesn't help me.
I'm using the mobile phone since about two month and really guess that it never worked properly. The syncronisation from google to the phone is working fine, but in the reverse way it didn't.
what i've done untill now:
-deleted already all contacts from googlemail and phone simultaneously, after that i imported all conatcts (which i backed up previously) to google again. Afterwards i synced them back to the phone without any problems
-each contact i created new, only on my phone will not be synced to google
-if i'm deleting any contact from google they would be automatically deleted on the phone
-i guess this seems to be a problem with the software, because other cellphone models of htc are having the same problem
i'm still using:
android 2.1 update 1
build number: 1.25.110.1 CL229476
kernel version: 2.6.29-6fb59e13
thank you in advance.
Is there nobody who can help me with that? Am I the only one who's facing that problem???
ive got like between one and 25questions to ask first.... there is one other option... just wipe the thing and let the google do its job. if your on froyo great. just ON COMPUTER fix up your contacts and whatever and save the account ON COMPUTER then wipe that phone. yes youll have to invest a wee bit of time restoring but that comes with the territory. google will restore what it restores.
any sync data u have now....is known to googles pushy servers. they push data rather than pull. which is awesome.
if u really need more help just PM

[Q] Can't access Picases for photo uploads

A few days ago I was able to upload to my Picasa account through the Gallery. Now when I do I get an error saying it can't access it. Not sure what is wrong since it is supposed to be natively synced to the device? Any idea where I can go to either wipe the credentials so I can reset or other alternative?
Should be in your settings under accounts n sync.
Exactly. It's not. It shows up on the xoom but not on the galaxy.
I also have trouble even signing in. I have trouble signing into my Samsung Account for software update, very frustrating

[Q] remotely removing google account?

Got my phone stolen..
Google doesn't give any help on removing google account.
Is there a way to remotely remove the google account from the stolen phone?
Says it's used market using my account so kinda in a hurry..
any methods will be fine.. no longer in my possession so ANYTHING!
please help..
What about changing your google password?
If you change your password, as mentioned, the account will no longer work on the phone without the new password. All of the data that has already synced will still be visible to whoever has your phone, but they will no longer be able to use your account.
Unfortunately there's probably not much else you can do. You can log into the Market on your computer and install some kind of phone tracking software, but it will have to be able to remotely enable GPS. You'll probably have to install the software before changing the password.
Supersonic Evo 4G | MIUI | Tapatalk
thanks for the advise..
as expected, google said change password as well, which I did, and they still somehow managed to access the account just yesterday.. lol..
just guess i'll have to delete it or something..
It might be worth giving this a try if you know the phone's still in use and you want to track it down!

[Q] Contacts on Google overriding changes in Android 4.0.3 Galaxy S II

Hello!
I have the Samsung Galaxy SII - GT-I9100 model, running unmodified Android 4.0.3 and whenever I make a change to any contact on my phone (it's marked as a Google Contact, btw), it stays that way until I synchronize my account with google, when the contact will then be reverted to the way it is on Google.
I have no idea what's wrong and it has been like this ever since I bought the phone. If I go to my Google account and change a contact through the web, my cell phone will sync and bring the changes from the google server, but the opposite (pushing changes to the server) won't happen.
All my contacts are orgnized and stored in the "My contacts" group. My contacts application is showing only the contacts on the google account, so there's no conflict with any contacts that might be stored locally on the phone (I've deleted all the phone and SIM contacts just to make sure nothing like that gets in the way).
I'd appreciate any help you guys could provide. I'm not willing to root or install any other ROM on this phone, I'd like to keep it stock for several reasons, warranty being one of the most important.
Thank you very much!
I just updated the Android version to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and uninstalled any contacts manager I might have had (Go Contacts Ex) and tried again, but to no avail.
Anyone else with the same problem? Does this have anything to do with the "My Contacts" group on Google Contacts? All these contacts are stored in that group. I haven't changed since I organized all my contacts when I bought the phone.
If anyone could help, I'd pay you a beer (or a dozen, perhaps).
Thanks!
This thread is probably dead by now, and i'm not sure if anybody has figured out a solution to this issue. However i did find an intermediate solution with an app called "InTouchAPP" available in the playstore. It is an alternative solution to going through google's server in saving contacts. It integrates seamlessly with your phone, and you sign up for a username and password so you may never lose your contacts again.
I was having an issue in which i would save a new number and name it. Seconds later the name of the number would disappear. I tried going to directly to gmail.com and adding a contact and it would work. My only explanation was that my phone was not pushing information to the google server however google server was constantly overriding any new numbers i added on my phone.
If anybody has a better solution please share.
Best Regards,
Jonathan

My sister wants to switch to an iPhone and apparently she's lost access to her google account, she doesn't have the phone number anymore. Is there anyway to remove the account from the s21? I can try rooting it but dont know what to do after. Thanks!
