Hello all! I'm sorry for my english.
I am trying to port CWM into my device Huawei Honor2 U9508, 'recovery mode' compiling from a source code Cyanogen
and i have some errors .Cannot compile recovery, as the source for my phone is not in the source code Cyanogen, how to build a recovery?
Wouldn't it be easier to translate our working chinese one ?

May be easier to but the transfer did not find anything, Yes and how many know they're all stored in the bin file and its not translate
Hi, I'm starting to set up the device tree to compile cm13 for an unsupported device.
I've already try to clone device tree of the Moto G titan (obviously replacing the information inside the files with the information I get from the stock kernel of my device) but i'm not sure if those files are ok. There is a way to check if I already did device tree well?
And can someone tell me if cloning the Moto G device tree it's a functional way to compile cm for my unsupported device?

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

As far As I know, the main difference between both devices are the lcm Driver so, I can make a test version if Someone want to test It.

You need to stay on Lollipop Rom and recovery. You can use this recovery(Zopo Speed +):
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995295909
Or carliv Lollipop recovery.
If you are on stock 6.0, you have to flash stock Lollipop Rom with SP flash tools then install recovery and follow installation instructions given on first post.

I successfully re-installed Android 5 stok OK
then followed the instructions, installed TWRP OK
Wipe Data / System / Cache / Dalvik Cache-ART OK
Install CM12.1 zip file OK
I think I have downloaded the wrong version of Gapps.
Platform: arm64 ?
Android: 5.1
Variant: stock ?
best regards

Try first without gapps and see if system boots. In case that works, do the installation again but Download pico package (5.1-arm64-pico)

I try to give support for smartcover function but seems that nobody is interested on this project [emoji17] .Will see

Zopo has provided Android 6.0 but has several bugs and is a long time that no longer grant any updates.
Then I prefer Android 5.1 with all the improvements and optimizations (CyanogenMod 12.1):good::good:

Leave a little time and you'll see that word gets out, it seems many are disillusioned about how zopo has released Android 6.0. (Still several bugs!)
But it's just me who uses this fantastic rom!?
Maybe people throw or change the terminal after a year, and therefore no longer uses zopo speed 7 / Plus!?
fantastic job
Please some difference expiriens on battery life between this CM 5.1 ROM and latest official 6.0 Marshmallow, any sugestions + or - Thanks.A long time there is no official update from Zopo, and I think to try this custom ROM.

Whats the meaning of Flashing Patch 1,2,3?
This is NOT a GSI. It will only work on Snapdragon-powered devices (check drivers in patches).

The fact that it will only work on Snapdragon-powered devices doesn't mean it will work with all Snapdragon-powered devices.
Expect support for A/b partition……
moto g5s plus bootloop and restart on twrp
It is only for mido

Xiaomi just relesed kernel sources for android pie for this devices: MIX2S, MIX3, MI 8, POCOPHONE F1, MI 8UD, MI 8 Explorer Edition
https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/dipper-p-oss
This kernel is the same of MIX 3 Pie, but compatible with all xiaomi sdm845 devices
Could anyone compile a LOS, for example, from source using these kernel sources?
Thank you

Does this mean there will be a universal Kernel for all phones or is this not possible?

Maybe not now, each device uses different defconfig file and different devicetree(this include battery, camera sensor, screen configuration)
it does not mean Mi 8 cannot boot with a custom kernel compiled for Mi mix 3 , but something could be broken or doesn't work properly.

yeah, but maybe it's not also hard to make PORTED versions now? Dunno, hope so, this would bring many developers together
