Hello
So I have been trying out some apps, as I am interrested in penetration testing, I wanted to try out dsploit, as I tried it, it told me that my device was not rooted, I thought it was due to a missing update, so I tried Zanti, which again gave me the same error.
I have rooted the device and installed busybox, did I miss something?
Also, my superSU says that it can't find any binary

You probably lost root. Just root your device again.

Hi every1, I'm new newbie here.
I have a SGS3 GT-I9300, android version 4.0.4, stock rom with CWM flashed.
My problem is I've lost the root access to my device, after I've messed with Android Tweaker Pro.
As soon as i realize this, I undo all tweaks, uninstalled it and reboot. But after rebooting, i can't have root access, btw I use supersu. And I can open it, But no root access. I've granted rom manager root access from the beginning but now rom manager say i'm not rooted.
I have tried re-installing supersu but now it said no SU binary installed.
How do i solve it?
And now my phone is having very low free RAM , just about 130 MB, but i usually have around 200~300MB.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
PS: Please do not post any methods which requires pc to work with, as i have connection problem with pc.
I have CWM backup made before the case occur, do i have to restore it?

Update the SU binary from the SU app itself, open it and go in settings and update the binary. Also do you have Busybox installed from Gooogle Play? If that didn`t work unroot and reflash CF autoroot with Odin.

Yes i have installed, but not from Google Play, cuz Google Play is banned in my country. Supersu shows me that there is no su binary installed, and it just exit. I also have superuser installed, but there is no option for updating the binary in the settings.

You need a PC to reflash CF-Autoroot again.

Oh, that would be a problem, because I have driver problem (code 43) on my windows 7 PC, having tried almost every method but still came up with device not recognized.
Is there a way to do it entirely on phone? Unroot and re-root again?
And btw will restoring the backup solve the problem?

I f you have a CWM backup that would restore you`re phone to a earlier condition where you did have no root issues. So yes restore that. Look here for the error 43 issue (driver issue) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEovLyoaaGw or google around for error 43.

Thanks for helping me out. I will try restore. I've googled for code 43 issue for numerous time, but it didn't seem to work out. I've tried trouble shooting with Kies, uninstalling kies and reinstalling. Uninstall the device driver from device management. Nothing work out.
I have had a hard time finding the driver of my device for manual installation but I can't find it on by google or by samsung official support page.

Try this usb driver https://rapidshare.com/#!download|9...NG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe|19531|0|0. Uninstall other installed usb drivers first.

And the restoration works, you are really a life saver.

Try it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1655286 or here for the latest version http://d-h.st/wS4.
I know that not many people may be able to help as this is a long story but here it goes:
I had used a root toolkit (I know that I will receive hate) to root my kyocera rise as rooting by hand has become a pain. Anyways, I had run into an issues where my phone would not run properly (possibly due to malware or the likes) and as such I reset it back to factory data. For months after I had assumed that I did not have root anymore because I had lost the supersu app (stupid me forgot to check root). Recently I realized that in one of my apps that could use root, it was using root and I did not even know it.
Seeing that this would cause some security issues, I quickly installed super su and updated the binaries. From then on, whenever an app tried to request root permission, it would then freeze. I then uninstalled super su and did the unroot setting from software and then planned to reinstall it. When I reinstalled supersu, It complained that it could not install binaries and this was bad (lol).
Anyways, the kyocera rise has a locked bootloader that prevents me from completely flashing over a new copy of the os, which sucks, and now I feel like I am stuck with an unrootable device because I can't seem to reinstall the binaries to allow super su or any other superuser program to work properly. Any Help would be appreciated. FYI, this is just stock android, nothing fancy about it.

Hi guys I recently rooted my phone and thought that if I could refresh my tablet a bit with a new rom Id use it more so I decided to root that too.
I have followed a lot of the guides on here but am really having issues. The Superuser app just will not work, I have copying and pasting in the new version and rooting again, I have tried unrooting and doing it again with no superuser.apk file at all or a bin superuser file and still no.
I cant even check if the device is rooted correctly as root checker just will not come up with a result it just loads forever.
I tried installing SuperSU instead but it gets stuck on installing then it says there is another programme that may be conflicting and then it just gives up too.
What to I need to do to root this thing and have a working supersu/user app?!?
Thanks

I had the exact same issue just the other day. Is the rom a 4.3 version. They are apparently a little finicky. First, open developer options, and under the root part allow apps and adb. Then I flashed the supersu from this site here , and finally I simply re flashed the rom I wanted, and it worked.
Hello guys, I am new to XDA. I've been reading a lot of forums before I decided to register. So, here is my dilemma... I have a Sprint Galaxy Nexus and tried to root it. I rooted it successfully but when I open SuperSU it says something about SU Binaries couldn't be found or old. I downloaded Superuser from the Play Store and that says my SU binary is out of date. When I click on Recovery Install nothing happens. Root Checker says i still have root access. Xposed Framework and GravityBox work like normal. When I clicked on SuperSU again, it said the same thing and this time, after that Root Checker said I have NO root access, but GravityBox and my other Xposed modules still work fine when changing stuff like status bar clock or something. Titanium Backup doesn't work at though, its stuck on "Asking for root rights" I don't know what to do! I don't wanna brick my phone but I want this fixed. Anybody got suggestions?

Do you have a custom recovery installed? If not, you should. If you do, then you should be able to just install the latest zip from Chainfire to get your binaries up to date and working properly.
Install this via custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip?retrieve_file=1
I have TWRP v.2.1.2 installed, and I also put on a different su binary I found on a website that said modified for Android 4.3 devices, before I did that I didn't have root access even when I tried too

Hello! I am an extremely newbie in rooting so this is my issue. I just rooted my S4 I9505XXUGNH8. I used odin and the root file from chainfire. It passed. So I thought there' s no problem but after 5 hours or so, when I lock my phone it restarts. Plus my bluetooth won't turn on. So I saw this option in SuperSU that I presumed will unroot my phone. I clicked it and say yes. I restarted my phone, the said app was not there anymore. Checked root checker and it says no proper root access or something like that so I thought I already unrooted my phone. I tried even SRS Root, it says that my device has no root. But the issues were still there. I tried to create new file from my sd card so I was expecting it will not work because of that Kitkat sd card restriction stuff but it worked. I tried to update my firmware but the phone didn't allow me because it was modified. So reinstall SuperSU again, and it says SU Binary not found, like that. Now I really have no idea what to do. Please help me. Thanks and sorry for my novel like post.

Seems like you might have used the auto root package from another firmware version as this sounds like some kernel issues. Since you know Odin works, then you can just reset and reinstall the NH8. This will get everything backup and running again (you can try not wiping, but possible issues can arise from this too - fair warning and best to backup internal storage to PC for safe keeping). As far as rooting goes afterwards, put Chainfire's SuperSU zip on your phone, find an updated custom recovery such as TWRP, Philz, or CWM and install via Odin. Once installed, you must immediately boot to recovery before the OS loads so you can use the recovery to install the zip or the stock system will rewrite the original recovery to it. Then you will be rooted with no other changes to the phone that could affect functionality or usability.
