hi, if i want an extended power menu that includes reboot options, is this currently the best choice?
(already have xposed framework installed)
ADVANCED POWER MENU

I'm just assuming this is going to work on the z2
thanks

It'll work on any device with Xposed framework, I have it on my watch.
BTW - for Xperia devices, at least for me, Xposed Xperia by serajr is best.

The best part of that module is that you can do many things with it.
Hide apps from app drawer, change nav bar size, it'll automatically patch services.jar, you'll actually have real quick settings (long hold will open settings), accent colour systemUI....
The best module for Xperia devices...

Do you have custom recovery installed in the first place? If so, just reboot and then press the Volume Down button when the green LED light comes on.

Searching "kill app by back button"

Hello friends,
i'm searching for an app or mod to give the back button a kill-app function like in some Roms.
Is there a way to activate this function?

If rooted, you can install "GMD Gesture Control" (a cool app anyway!) and create a custom gesture for killing the running app.
If you just want the app to be killed as soon as you leave it there is a function for this that can be enabled in Developer Options.
Yes, i know, but not in the stock Rom

Thanks for that, That's a nice option.
Im just wondering tho, is there a way we can select which apps fully close and which ones don't?
Like the swipe to close option,,, id like to swipe to fully close the app instead of leaving it idle..
That would be good

The 3rd from bottom is some like "don't save actions" (i can't tell the english title, using a german rom)

That will kill just about everything though. You probably not gonna want to kill every app after using them. That throws multitasking out the window
We just need that hold back button to kill option somehow
Push:
Can somebody help me to find a way to activate the kill-app by long press the back button?

I think nobody is intrested to do that else it would have been popped up too bad.. I too want that devs are how do busy either with their own thing or just supporting the devices they have.

Hi,
first download and install Xposed framework run it and from the Download section find and install GravityBox. Enable GravityBox in the modules section, reboot tablet. Find GravityBox in the app drawer and run it. Go to Hardware Key Actions, find BACK KEY <Long Press Action> and from the available actions, assign "Kill foreground app". You are ready!!!

Extra power menu options

Anybody know an app or a way to add extra settings to your power menu like in CM? I'd like to be able to reboot straight into recovery, and maybe do a screenshot like on newtoroots HTC ONE port. I'm looking and looking but maybe I'm not getting the wording right. Thanks! :good:

is that CM dependent? bcuz im not running cm.
That's cm dependent. Quick reboot from the play store is pretty useful if you don't have this option. Also you could try an xposed module like gravitybox or xblast tools but I haven't gotten the extended power menu to work in sense Roms.

You can suggest an APM be added to that rom, or use the app xvicedIce suggested.

[MOD] Close All Apps

Have put together this flashable zip to enable close all apps.
I haven't tested as my device is still away...
This is what it should look like...
It should work as but if not then let me know...
DOWNLOADS:
LINK
METHOD:
0) MAKE A BACKUP !! !!
1) download file
2) reboot into recovery
3) install zip from SD card
4) reboot
Hi. Installed the zip but it doesn't work. My "X" sign is on the top left corner and when I tap on it, it just closes the recent app screen and when I tap the recent app icon, the apps are still there

Great work!!
But it make my quick settings icon smaller.
Close app function is no problem.
The icon is on the top of the left.
I use this in .257 locked bootloader.
so mixed results?? does it close all apps? or just the most recent? or not work?
Right... the icons will be smaller, as I had modified that in my last build... The nav-keys will be the same.. but I think its better like that... (yeah no?)

[4.4+] Immersive Mode, Don't Panic!

Introduction:
Android shows you a help message when you first start an app in Immersive Mode. When you press the 'OK' button, Android sets a flag to remember you saw this message, and stops showing it in the future for this app.
However, Android resets this flag when a panicking user is detected. This is a safeguard measure to help people who don't know what's happening (if they dismissed the message without reading it.) Panicking is detected when the user turns the screen on and off more than once within 5 seconds.
This stackoverflow answer explains this behavior in details.
This simple module makes the method responsible for this check do nothing, thus removing this annoyance.
If you've never encountered this issue, you don't need this module.
Requirements:
Xposed Framework;
Android KitKat or higher;
A navigation bar (no hardware buttons.)
Source code:
https://github.com/GermainZ/ImmersiveModeDontPanic
Download:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.germainz.immersivemodedontpanic
Changelog:
1.1.2:
Compatibility with Lollipop. Won't install/work on earlier versions.
1.1:
New preference: Hide All Popups. If enabled, all the "Welcome to Immersive Mode" popups will be hidden, not only repeated popups.
1.0:
Initial release.

Have you tried tapping the 'Install' button? If that isn't enough, then I'm going to need more info. Why can't you install it? Any errors? What Android version are you running? Have you read the thread's title, which is the first thing you ought to read, or the OP, which is the second?
Works great on my LG Optimus G (e970). Thanks! I thought it was a bug in the 4.4.2 ROM I am using.

I love you, dude! This annoys me SO much.. Glad there's now a fix for it!
i also thought this was a bug with my rom :silly: -until it happened on a different rom.
i run this other module "force immersive mode" which forces fullscreen on chosen apps, but was highly annoyed by this panic thing.
"it is not a bug, it is a feature"
op, you saved us from being annoyed countless times for no reason at all. :good:

The latest CM nightlies remove the panic mode. http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/64101/ You can still use this mod to remove all immersive mode warnings, but if you don't need that you can uninstall it.
The change has also been proposed to AOSP. https://android-review.googlesource.com/#/c/95160/
Can you add an option to hide the app from the launcher please?

You should release this in the Xposed forum.. You will get more attention there..
Or you could post this in Cross Development
