problem with camera and other problem - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Why with 20.7 and 15.5 I can't choose the scenes? Is absurd... With a future update can solve? Because otherwisee I am forced to take shots at 8 mpx...
Other problem have been resolved? When call work both speakers? Overheating?

Do you mean smart scene shots? They are always 8MP. That's normal. Only in manual can you shoot at 20MP.

That's correct. Unfortunately I have yet to be able to tell the difference between the two.
If you check the filename it will show hdr in it
Thanks all of you!

lol we know that's one of the difference but we all know he meant difference in the quality between the two. hehe
With hdr you will only notice it in hard to expose moments such as dark for ground and bright background. I in a natural lit environment it will be hard to notice.

Poor camera quality

I'm on omega v40 and got bad camera quality is there a way to fix it
I hate to say this but first thing, make sure the lens cover is clean! Then check camera settings/resolution& picture quality.
My guess is dirty lens! Been there, done that!

Update 8.0.0.162 just shown on FF

Hello guys, the update 8.0.0.162 just appeared on FF
EIS is here guys !!
I will install asap and report back
See the attachement for the Changelog
Unfortunately, the update is not approved for my device yet, so I will wait for another week or two to have it updated on my phone.
Just installed the update using the no check recovery,
EIS is here for 720p and 1080p30fps. It's not available for 1080p60fps or 4k
Here are the screenshots
Sent from my HUAWEI BKL-L09 using XDA Labs
Is the EIS available for pictures or only for videos?

Ahm.... EIS for pictures does not exist Maybe the EIS option is going to be available for 1080p 60 fps in any of the future updates, but unfortunately we are not going to have EIS for the 4K recording because of the Kirin 970. P20 Pro and Mate 10 Pro are having the same stabilization - 1080p 60fps + EIS with not stabilization at 4K.

Nah, OIS is a hardware feature.
OIS is a hardware feature - it helps for both pictures/videos while the EIS is a software feature and it can only be uses for video.
Did somebody already tested the EIS? What is the quality?

Yeah know that but it's the only way to have stabilization for the pictures

Yup tested and it's about the same as without stabilization. Just a little zoomer due to the traitement of the video.

I am surprised because I was using Honor 8 a few months ago and it has EIS for 1080p (I believe for 1080p 60 fps) and it worked really good. The picture is cropped when the EIS is turned on because this is how the feature actually works. Hopefully, it is going to be improved in the future.

Yes just tested and of course it's working on videos without EIS and working with EIS too
And as you may know there's a better stabilization with Google photos, but you can use the following combo : EIS +Google photos stabilization. Amazing results

Thanks for confirmation I actually asked as it's not working on devices which are not updated, such as mine...
Like I can see Stabalized videos edited by Google... But while saving it gives me "unable to save" error
Did somebody receive the update as OTA, without FF?
