M8 applying the wrong font? - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Installed a few font packs from the play store. When I go to change the font, I select the font, but it applies a different, completely random font from the list. Is it the font pack's fault? Never had this happen before. Anyone else or is it just me? By the way I am completely stock out of the box. Thanks.

While I can't answer your question directly, I can offer some advice on how you can investigate the issue:
Uninstall the font pack you recently installed, and install a different one. Try it. Still have the problem? Then it's probably not specific to the one font pack.

Actually just uninstalled them all. I just installed an .apk someone had linked on here with like 500 fonts on it and they all apply just fine. Must have been one or maybe all of those font packs.

[Q] How to find app icon locations? Anyone?

Ok so I have an app NinjaMorph installed which allows me to open .apk files and swap out a file (say an icon file) and then repackages up the .apk for me.. so far it's working as expected.. the only problem I'm having now is figuring out the locations of some of the apps I have installed as it seems that some of them aren't listed or at least don't appear to be.
Anyone have any idea where or how I can figure out the install locations on apps that are already installed? Is there another app I can install that will provide that info perhaps?
For instance the GasBuddy app. It doesn't show up anywhere in the system/app directory...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Try /data/app

Oh nice looks like there's a ton of them in that directory... thanks!
you need Better Cut its a paid app on the market iv had it since it came out back on the G1. its great replace any apps icon with any image you want
they even have Themes and icon packs available for free once you download it so if you want all your icons one style/theme it will do them all. or you can just select individuals
No problem.
johnt2k: I think he's talking about customizing icons within the app, like menu buttons etc.
Actually what I'm trying to do is change a few icons in the app drawer. I can use Desktop Visualizer to make custom shortcuts no problem but changing the icons in the app drawer is a little giving me trouble.
I've been trying to use this Ninja Morph app to edit the .apk files and swap in the icon I want but it've only had it to actually work and with my settings and contact apps. Doesn't seem to take on the others i've tried to actually apply the change.
Yeah it seems like ninja morph only wants to change things in /system/app

[Q]Anyway to spoof DPI

As the title says, I need if its possible to a way to spoof you phones DPI.
Mainly I need it for the market because I'm sick and tired of being told that my DPI is not supported when in fact the app works fine....
Thanks in advance.

Change it in your Build.prop inside the system folder. this is with me assuming the DPI is the same as lcd density inside the build.prop. I do know if you change it on my hone to something not stock you get told no on some apps in the market.
Changing that could work but it makes my phone unusable because the UI is huge.

i have a similar issue. i have an sgs2 and use lcddensity to increase from 240 to 160 but apps on market say they won't work. i either reboot back to normal dpi, install, then reboot via lcddensity to the desired dpi - or download the apk manually and sideload it.
would be nice to get around this and just lie to the market app what the res is
Bump?

Maybe a advanced dev knows but would it be possible to decompile the market app, look for the bit that tells it where to look for build.prop and change it to look for lets say market build.prop, compile it, resign it then install with a lets say galaxy nexus build.prop?
I can't test this as I don't have a PC at home

Most apps are built for HDPI devices and up, the Wildfire is a low end MDPI device and most apps won't be compatible. It may seem to run fine if you alveolar the apk but Android has to force the application to work on your device. As for the Galaxy Nexus, the new 720p screen in Android is fairly new, and Market doesn't know much about the new resolution and will show apps as unsupported. The dev just has to make a quick update. That, or sideload.

I've been looking too! I wouldn't think it's too hard if someone d/l the software and sent to the US....just because it's made for a Japanese phone how could it be so different than our android ones? Specially if it's just a static wallpaper?? Let me know if you found anything!!
I've looked a lot and never found it

I have 4 Disney phones from Japan:
Docomo's F-08D & F-07E and SoftBank's DM012SH & DM013SH
If you know how to "extract" live wallpapers, please tell me how to do it and I'll send it to you, or post it somewhere online.

Via SD Maid App, it is free,
open--> settings---> app control--> show system app,
then app control--> tap on app/widget/livewallpaper ---> export apk
the problem is not the exporting part, but making the apk work on your particular device, there are lot of dependencies based on that particular model. Currently working on a F-03F, it is the most adorable phone ever. Will upload the APKs as I get them working on other phones...

F03F Disney APKs

Ringtones and wallpaper* coming up
The apps run checks.
Okay I downloaded all of that stuff. Some apps told me I was on the wrong device and another told me my phone number wasn't connected to docomo I think the next step might be posting the data from the obb folder on your device.
Oh wait never mind the only apps I can get to run are the clock widget and the live wallpaper. I thought there were more Disney clocks?
Do you happen to have the F-03F stock rom by any chance?

Download launcher, extract APK and you will find it.
If you manage to get it customized, to streamline that ugly graphics, you could contact FCC launcher Dev and offer him update version
Would really like to see streamlined version.

Honor 7 themes not working

Hi Guys!
Thanks for taking the time to read this
I have had my honor 7 for a few months now but I used a corrupt SD card and it all went a bit nuts. So I got rid of the SD card and reset the phone to factory settings. I previously used a theme I found on the pre-installed themes app on the phone as I don't like the default theme, but since the reset, my themes app can't find any themes at all. Whether I go to "top", " featured" or try to search for a theme, it just says "no themes"!
I don't like using third party apps for themes so I'm just wondering if there's a quick and easy fix for this?
Thanks! :fingers-crossed:
PS, on re-reading this, I think I need to use the word " themes" less... Oops!

Try one more factory reset after saving your data and aps using hisuite app.
If it does not work, a forced update will solve your problem for sure...
Did you check if there is an app update?

It doesn't. I don't like third party theme apps. I think I'm just going to have to get used to the default. Thanks though

Well, just browse a theme, choose the one you like, ask us here in this thread, someone will download that theme, copy that file from the themes folder and send it to you.
You just download and copy again to themes folder and it will appear in your my themes.
Should work
