I didn't find anything relating to CyanogenMod for your device but you should be able to root by using ROOT GENIUS.

But in "Supported Android Phone", there isnt Ascend G526
Tried it. Can not find android drivers. It seems that android driver for G526-L11 does not exist yet

I have used most tools and recoveries on my sony device
I also have an Huawei Mediapad M1 (S8-301L)
I have managed to root the device as described in Chiveta's post using the method for a similar device
Searched frantically for CWM recovery and instructions to flash but there seems to be no results
Any help appreciated

There are already some cutstom ROMS:
needrom.com/category/huawei/serial-g/g700/
But i haven't tried one of them yet. I hope xda will create a stable decent one soon.

backup your rom wit mtk droid toolz and upload ,,i'll use it to create a lollipop rom for you
