Hello guys! Just have a simple question here. Alright so, If I were to unlock the bootloader on a nexus 7 and just root it (no custom rom), would I have to unroot it for OTA updates? And if I do, would the bootloader need to be relocked? Normal recovery installed? I guess what my question really is here, is what needs to be stock before an OTA update for this device? Or is it okay to OTA update an unlocked rooted nexus 7? Thanks guy! Appreciate it! ^-^

Hi all,
I recently rooted my OTA 23c upgrade, but now I want to take it a step further and flash another ROM. I've attempted the bump! method, but due to a locked bootloader the custom recovery mode doesn't work. I believe I have to downgrade to 10b, but I'm unsure as to how to do that. Using LG Flash Tool has been useless for me, but perhaps I'm not using it correctly?

I am trying to root Z2 Ver 5.1.1. I flashed it after looking at the other thread but I am struggling with rooting.
I would appreciate if someone can connect via TEam Viewer and help me root it!!!

I have a BV9800 pro and was able to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and root it. It was a challenge, but the first question would be have you unlocked the bootloader? If not, remember to backup everything you don't want to erase when it factory resets you.
