One max and cm11? - HTC One Max

I can't find a definitive answer. I'm soon to be switching to Verizon and I'm interested in the One Max, but I can't find any info on whether there is a cm11 Rom. I read in the Faq that any One Rom will work on the One Max, or maybe it was only the other way around. I'm leaning towards the Note 3 because I can't find an answer, but would like the bigger screen on the One Max.

Ya I scrolled through there, I only found one post related to it. Are there any other stock like roms?

AOSP is right around the corner, we have some great devs working on it. It's really just a matter of some minor bugs they're working out right now.

Depends on what you mean by "out". There are versions out that almost fully functional, but certain things may not be working, such as the camera. look around the development section you'll find a few. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20976510 is just one version.

Alternate Kernel Choice AOSP/SAMMY w/ stweaks style sound app

I don't know if anyone is using this kernel yet but I have been using it for two days now and loving it. It was made for the n7105 but has been running perfectly on my vzw gnote2. It also has an app you download from the market "like" stweaks that lets you adjust cpu/gpu settings as well as sound including turning up in call mic volume. Just scroll down to the downloads section and download the n7105 versions for either tw(sammy) or aosp, I have tested both.
Only, issue so far is that the eq in the app (uneak) isn't working but I use noozxoide for that. Apparently the eq isn't working on the n7105 either so don't fill up his thread with compliants. Believe me, you will be impressed with the sound improvements using the kernel (neak) the app (uneak) and noozxoide from google play.
Find the original thread here. Be sure to read the entire op, there is a lot of useful information there.
I in no way take any credit for this, just wanted to share.
Just to be clear, you're flashing a non-Verizon kernel onto your Verizon Galaxy Note 2 and you aren't running into any issues? Is that correct?
I exclude that equalizer issue as you said it isn't working on the other phones either.

Correct, been running it for two days with no problems, no lock ups no sods no nothing. Running fast and smooth. Better sound than stweaks and perseus imo.
Well, that's awesome. Kind of curious whats up with that. In the past kernels for the international variants required "porting" to the Verizon/AT&T etc phones. Wonder why not with this one?
If it were possible to flash kernels from all the other variants on our Verizon Note 2's that would open a lot of doors for options.
Interesting.... Will try this out

Best kernel yet [aosp & tw versions]
WOW. Just came across this kernel randomly by searching google for "verizon note 2 aosp kernel" and HOLY ****E! This is the best kernel I have ever run on my phone by far!! This thread needs to come back to life and people need to get on this. I'm running this with carbon currently and am getting the best battery life I ever have using the muti-core mod app made by the dev along with the uneak engine control app. Don't be skurred...even though they don't SAY Verizon, these kernels run fine with Verizon, as long as you follow the links in the OP under N7105/T889/I317 LTE RELEASES:. These kernels were just updated on June 7, so they are FRESHHHH.
Seriously, give this a try. And make sure to use the apps linked to in the uNeak dev's OP.

There have been quite a few reports of people flashing N7105, T-Mobile, and AT&T kernels on the i605 with no issues. You cannot flash Sprint kernels because sprint writes /data on /dev/block/mmcblk0p17 instead of on /dev/block/mmcblk0p16.
So using a Sprint kernel would most likely bootloop you, it may not but from what I've read it most likely will, and I'm unsure if the N7100 is fair game or not, I have been looking through kernels lately and have found one on the N7100 that I am going to try later and see if it works of if it causes issues like I think it will.
That leaves us 3 other Note 2's kernels to play with though aside from our own!

Giving this kernel a bump because it's awesome. The audio tuning that can be done inside the uNeak app is unreal. Eargasm with bass frequency tuning checked is the best sound I've ever heard on a phone. Thank you to the dev who made this, and to the op of this thread for spreading the kernel around.

I'm the same way. Once I have an app installed and I play with it for a few minutes and will actually keep it, I have no issues with donating a few bucks to the Dev. After all, they did this on their own time and it keeps development going. I actually prefer apps that have a trial version rather than apps that force you to buy and then you only have 15 minutes to get a refund (Damn you Google Play Store Refund Policy). My poor bank statement is littered with App Store purchases of different Dev Apps. Spouse just looks at the statement and usually asks....what the hell is this and what is it for? I just lift my phone up and that's the end of the conversation.

I'll buy an app in two seconds - either bill it to Vzw account or Debit. Depends on my mood.
I've purchased about every xda dev app I've found. Lol. Use maybe one or two. Came in here to say that I am also a big fan of this kernel. Mixed with the app and you have a winner.

New Evo 4G LTE user, ROM suggestion

Hello all
After buying the Original Evo, I haven't owned an HTC phone in 2+ years, but after trading my S3 for the LTE, I'm back!
I'd like if you guys could recommend a ROM for me... I looked around the development forum, but many don't have screenshots, etc, and I don't want to waste a lot of time flashing something and then it has some bright red theme, etc.
What I'm looking for is something that is as close to the stock HTC rom as possible, but with battery life enhancements, etc.
Thank you!
Sense 5 man its the best
Viper 3.1.4 or the Sense 5 port, would be mg suggestions

I second this post. Those two have probably the best overall options at the moment, as well as SuperJelly. CM 10.1 has came a long way too, if you're a fan of AOSP.
Viper4G 3.14 comes with almost an overabundance of options to play with and well, the Sense 5 port? You're getting something that won't even be on our phones for a few months yet, and with all of the work tossed together in the past three weeks, it's pretty much a daily driver of a ROM. Sense that runs just as fast as AOSP, IMHO.

I'd hardly say the Sense 5 port fits this requirement. While very good and a daily driver, it still has little bugs. And if you use Bluetooth, a major one. That said, Viper and Meanbean would be my two suggestions. I've used both extensively and they are both very good in regard to battery life and speed. If you want to flash a new version once a week you will be out of luck with those two, however. Neither has been updated in over a month and I don't think there are plans to. I don't think they need it though. Very good as they are.
Edit : Just be aware that Google Nav may not work for you. This is a bug that affects many users, while some don't have an issue. It's not ROM related. I suggest Waze as an alternative navigation.
I hate when people make these threads.
Read the op's and flash the ones that sound good to you.
Theyre all good.
Theres also a q and a section where i believe this should be.

No offense to the OP but I'm closing this as these threads tend to turn into flame fest between ppl saying X is better than X.
Best advice is read the threads and see what fits your needs/interests the best.
Or just take some time and try them all and go with what you like the most. Everyone is different here, the OP of the Rom threads are pretty descriptive of what's offered.

Cleanrom support thread

Since Scott closed the thread I thought I'd start a support thread for it. Other users like myself will be happy to answer questions so fire away. Scrosler left us with a very solid complete ROM.
I have only one issue with this Rom(it may not even be an issue). When I'm not on a wlan my locate in the weather app and others just say "my location.". Is it suppose to be that way? It also happens with blinkfeed.

Great Idea ...I'll help out if i can. I plan on sticking with CleanRom 2.5 till 4.2.2 lands or another big update from AT&T.
Well all the buzz is 4.2.2 will drop very soon so it looks like the cleanrom .12 base will be short lived.
My Hope is we don't loose all the AT&T Features (Icons / signal bars ..etc) on the international roms
I'm willing to give those up for the fixes 4.2.2 brings to the table.
icons and such can be hacked in later.
What are the features that 4.2.2 have which CleanRom + apps from Google play cannot match?

4.2.2 seems to be all around smoother for me but the one thing I really miss about Clean Rom was the transparent app drawer. It was pretty much perfect in 2.5 and I have not been able to find anything as smooth with all the 4.2.2 roms. It is nit picking but it is frustrating.
I am going to try and build my on prism.apk here soon but I highly doubt I can do any better.
Which 4.2.2 ROM would you guys recommend? I'm not into fancy stuffs...I just want something stable and not full of bugs.

ARHD and TrickDroid are the two most popular. ARHD is going to be the no nonsense Rom and trick droid offers many customizations after the fact. Both are great roms with good support communities.

[Q] What can I do with my new HTC One?

I've been on the galaxy product line for my last two phones and have rooted them then installed CM on them straight away. Now that I have an HTC One, and it's still a fairly new device, I'm wondering what things I should/could do to it...
So far all I've done is unlock the bootloader, and I'm kinda waiting for ASOP Android to be released but are there any ROMs that are must haves or is there any reason to root it at this point?
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I was expecting this type of reply. I've done a decent amount of searching in the HTC boards and this one. I'm asking the question for other people's opinions. But I guess you're right, I could go around the forums on my phone, so, that would be something to do on it although not what I'm looking for.

As a Samsung user for the past 3 years or so I've always used aosp Roma myself. I haven't even looked at a single aosp Rom for the one (won't until official comes out) my suggestion is use sense for a while. There's a thread over in international about some stuff the one can do. Check it out. I'd install a international Rom and play with it. (Arhd is great) If you flash an aosp Rom you'll lose beats and the great camera. Keep it (close to) stock for now and enjoy the new sense.

I wondered the same thing with mine. The next steps you could take if you wanted to: get s-off, get supercid, and pick a good Rom that you like. (for all intensive purporses the first two are negligible). I am currently on Android Revolution HD (arhd) and loving it. Fast and smooth with the 4.2.2 and good battery life. That's a good place to start.

Another vote for Android Revolution HD ...It's an amazing piece of work and just keeps getting better
It still includes an amount of HTC/Google Junk, but it's easy to fix with a root explorer or Titanium Backup
