What is the exact "Status 7 error" output?
Status 7 error can be caused by trying to install a ROM that is not specifically designed for your phone model a P768, and you try to flash a P760 CM11 ROM. When flashing that ROM the updater script checks the device model/ID and if it doesn't match that of the ROM being flashed, it will abort the installation.
Make sure that your flashing the proper CM11 ROM for your specific device.
Status 7 error can also be caused by, installing the wrong or improper CWM recovery version for your device and or ROM being flashed.
Double check that the recovery version you installed is the correct CWM recovery for your device and/or the CM11 ROM that your trying to flash. CM11 also requires a specific CWM recovery version to be flashed.
Thanks for your answer, I solved this way, I get back to the especific rom for my device, I can only do that trough the automatic lg support tool, cause when I tryed to flash get error of disconnected phone at 15%, later I saw that I need a specific recovery to flash the rom, so I downloaded and send it to the phone, after that I could flash the rom without problems and I'm now rocking my phone with KitKat
Thank you. I was really scary but now I know that can get restored thru the lg utility.
Sorry for my english.

I was doing a tutorial to flash a ROM (jelly crem) on my P768 ICS, than the video said to format system trought CWM, I do it so, but after this the ROM.ZIP cannot install, it's said (bad) then give this maage "installation aborted".
But because the format, I have no ROM on the cellphone, get stucked on LG logo, inanother word's I BRICKED IT.
Now I want to know how to recover it:
1. When I try to do the hard reset, I get on the CWM
2. I didn't make any backup (i try it one time, but now I discover that the backup is corrupted
Can't get in to hard reset, can't install ZIP rom,...
Can I do something or my cellphone is Dead?

Go to your old post, I can tell you how to fix it. These phones can't be bricked. I've had similar situations trust me.
UPDATE
I can't Install KDZ, because the last method of Bootloader unlock made that KDZ offline always says that USB is not connected
1.Hard Reset Won't access anymore (the cause must be thata I installed 2 CWM :c
2.SW update don't see the USB because last KDZ offline method
3.SW says Bootloader is unlocked
Can't use any of the above, only CWM and Fastboot I think
Did you try Factory reset in the CWM?

Hi everyone. First time posting on the forums and unfortunately it's because of a major problem . So here's my situation:
A couple days ago I decided i would try to update my phone to 5.0 because the update was pushed OTA for the ls990. It supposedly installed with no error, but when it went to reboot it took me straight into my custom recovery. Now when i try to restore from backup, flash a new rom, or wipe the system it will say it was successful, but nothing will change and each time i reboot it takes me right back into recovery. I've tried booting into system or bootloader, but both of those options take me right back into recovery. If i pull the battery and wait then repower the phone it takes me right back into recovery. I need some help here because my phone is practically bricked, yet i still have access to ONLY recovery mode. During each reboot the LG logo does flash on the screen (not sure if that info is useful though). Here's what i'm running:
Specs:
Rooted and Bumped Sprint LG G3 (ls990)
Stock ROM
TWRP Recovery
Maybe this happened because it was a stock update and i didn't have stock android recovery for it to complete the upgrade? My /boot folder appears to be empty in TWRP, but im not sure if that's just because its not even mounting it or if im actually missing a kernel, bootloader, or something else. ANY help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Your gonna have to restore using this guide. It did happen because you were on custom recovery, anytime you want stock upgrade, you must unroot it and put stock recovery back on 1st. It's not bricked if it comes on, only softbricked, which can be fixed with download mode. That guide is well written.

also it was not the android 5.0 update..
Try this first before using the LG Flash tool

It should hopefully save you from wiping the phone completely.
Thanks

I reverted to stock firmware using the instructions on that thread and now everything is working! Thank you very much.
Now the only problem is that it seems the new sprint update patched the stump root exploit. Guess ill have to do the firmware flash again lol.

I think you need zv4 firmware to avoid this problem.

Thank you very much, It works like a chime
I have this problem in yunique i only instaled twrp and it is rebooted into recovery menu but i can't restart my phone it is always going to recovery menu when trying to restart
Select reboot --> Boot to bootloader
When in fastboot
type
fastboot devices
then type
fastboot continue
This will fix the twrp loop issue.
so i downloaded official update for my d620r and I tried to instal it but it failed. I have custom recovery and its rooted, well i didn't know that you shouldn't do that, but its too late. Now if i try to reboot, it boots back to recovery, no matter what kind of rom i flash.... There are no guides on fixing it for this phone, and its the only phone i have, so i need it to by fixed as soon as possible, pls help ;D
if you are having same problems, hers the solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/general/guide-revert-to-stock-lg-softwareeasy-t2824479
Hello,
hoping someone can assist.
I have the note7 and install magisk. The phone rebooted amd then got the message that
Security error this phone jas been flashed with unauthorized software......
Is there anyway to get past this and undo this. I really dont want to restore the phone. And need to back a few items back. Please help me....
my experience
Hello.
I had a similar problem, when I had installed viper4android, without the debbuging mode on.
Couldn't acess to twrp, only download mode, so I needed to install the firmware with odin, get root acess, reinstall the twrp, and after reinstall my favorite rom. Of corse, all my data was lost in the process, but I can't see other way. Without twrp, how can one flash anything?
Maybe you can try to flash with odin just the bootloader and the modem, to see if it works. If not, just the firmware will solve the problem, I think.
Do what I m saying

First of all do u checked debug mode and oem etc second reboot to recovery do a factory reset by typing Yes then flash hydra Rom with selecting hydra kernel and your mobile will definitely boot up successfully thats for exynos model if u have snapdragon model then only do factory reset by typing Yes and reboot
Will it b helpfull
So I recently tried to unroot my device with flashing official ROM on it. Apparently I used the wrong file because my phone got bricked. I tried using XiaoMiTool by Francesco but it didn't help. I spent a lot of time trying to fix it so ill post what worked for me. I downloaded a lot of ROMS but none of them worked for me there was either flash error or device mismatching and I couldn't find right flash official software anywhere. I downloaded another ADB fixing program which worked, I downloaded Szaki/XiaomiADB fastboot tools which worked perfectly. I simply connected my phone searched for my phone code name (tucana) downloaded ROM from there, wiped all data off and finally flashed OS on my device. I also have a question, are there any android software fixing programs for phone repair companies or something similar?
Have good day and stay healthy,
MX8MC8
id suggest to unbrick with mi flash tool.
I did that always when i was stuck on something, it ofcourse removes your data but saves the device so its still the profit probably... After succesfull rom installation you can flash again.
Also you do this in fastboot mode
When I was stuck in the same way the solution I found was to flash whatever rom then when the phone bootloops, go into recovery, and format data. Afterwards it will boot to startup screen and take forever to load up. Anyway that is my solution, before that I would have to flash stock recovery to boot for the first time then flash a custom recovery back.
