Hello
Does anyone have I9100XWKK2_I9100LUXKJ1_LUX.zip lying around? This is an Android 2.3.6 ROM for the S2. All the links on the internet point to Hotfile (which has disappeared).
Thanks,
If Samfirmware, AndroidFirmwares.net or Samsung-Updates.com don't have it, you won't find it anywhere including here.
The chances of anyone reading this thread & who coincidentally has this file given it's been 3 yrs since this phone (and this firmware) was released given how little traffic the S2 forums see these days is virtually zero.
If I was in your situation, I'd be looking for something else to use (there are other GB stock roms still downloadable at those places).

Good evening,
I know this is going to be another one of those how do it upgrade my phone question. But i spent the better part of 4 hrs browsing this forum and the internet to figure out what exactly i need to do to get to 2.3.4 gingerbread (Need it for SIP issues with my galaxy s)
So going from Stock 2.2 froyo from TELUS
If someone could explain what is required for tools, roms, kernels, bootloaders, drivers, modem, etc and the steps needed to do this upgrade from root to end it would help me and MANY others looking for the same info.
1. Odin 1.3 [Got it]
2. Samsung drivers [Got it when installed kies]
.
.
.
.
10. CM7_Fascinate_platypus-kernel_20110516_r0_quorra-r9.zip [got it from another tread]
PS: There is a thread that explains what you need and download like the ebsbackup (Not sure what this is) and stuff but all the links are not working and i don't want to guess a file without someone that knows the implications and validating it. (SPECIFICALLY FOR THE TELUS FACINATE)
I'm a Newb at Rooting/Flashing phones but the rest its not my first rodeo I'm just fed up with waiting for upgrades that might or might not come.

I'm also wondering about this, I can't find some files.
3. cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar (Can't find)
4. galaxy-efsbackup.zip (Can't Find)
Other than that it looks like an easy install...
I too would also like to find the rest of the Tools needed for this.
I found these though:
Hello.
I've looked and looked and looked but cannot find a definitive answer to my question. My sincerest apologies to those who think it's another stupid question.
Does my Galaxy Ace on Orange need to be unlocked before I can flash new firmware? I have not done enough posts yet to mention websites so I hope you'll understand the following www sammobile com - dots in appropriate places!! - stated that I either get the phone unlocked or use provider firmware. I am currently on S5380BVKQA but I hear good things about both KPH and KS2.
I am a noob, but a determined noob. I will not let a minor hindrance defeat me before I've even begun my Android experience.
Cheers
I've galaxy s ii i9100 g
i need the software from sam mobile gt-i9100lkgegy
but hotfile site doesn't work with me
any upload site instead?
Even if splitted to many parts?
Nope, the links at Samsung-updates.com are also Hotfile. That's the only place you're downloading it from. Use another internet connection (internet cafe, school, work, etc).
thanx
i've used all these places
not completed
if someone downloaded it, he may upload to another site
or torrent
Don't be surprised if you bump this thread in a week's time & nobody has done that.
Hello,
I inherited a GT-I9100 that was on contract with Three UK from my brother.
He told me that he put a different firmware on it so he can use it with another SIM.
I was using the phone for a while and it seems very unstable. It often freezes, battery drains, etc.
Reading around the forum I think the best course of action for me would be to go back to stock firmware and get an unlock code. I don't get anything out of the "jailbreak" anyway.
Alternatively I would like to put on the stock firmware for Three IRELAND (I live in Ireland now) so I can the phone with Pay as you go Ireland.
I was looking around how to do this and I'm quite okay with doing techy stuff by instruction, but I can't really find a guide that explains it well and I also have problems locating the correct firmware and was hoping to get some help.
Thanks in advance!
Get the firmware from Samfirmware, how-to = stickied thread 5th from the top in Q&A.
Go to sammobile and fill in the boxes which will tell you which one you need.Get odin setup on your pc,then look at some guides about using odin etc.
Hello,
Thanks for the tip.
I've already tried that but I can't seem to find the Firmware for Three UK or Three Ireland.
Is there another source?
Thanks!
Three Ireland/UK firmware available @ Samfirmware.com as per my PP (I'm looking at a list of them as I type); you'll need to join in order to download it. Firmwares are available on other sites, but most of the links point back to Samfirmware's hosting provider. Download the rom you need, flash following the instructions in the thread I referred you to.
The firmware you need is on sammobile...I just looked.....
As was mentioned by mistahbungle, you need to flash it via Odin....you'll find the guide where he said it was.....
Good luck.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Thank you guys.
The main reason I posted here was that I couldn't locate the correct firmware.
Well, that's all on me - I searched for GT-I9100 Galaxy S instead of GT-I9100 Galaxy SII.
Mystery solved.
Thanks again! I really appreciate it.
Might be abit late but.. I would actually recommend this firmware over the Three firmware as it has far less bloatware; I9100XWLSW_I9100CPWLS4_CPW
Hello everyone
I have bought a SGS2 GT-i9100 and i was searching for 4.1.2 frimware for my devie. My PDA It's XXPLQ and i searched it by Samfrimware and didn't found it. My question is: There's 4.1.2 for my device? Or dosen't matter if it it's XXLJS or another version.
I don't know if this is necesary but i'm from Venezuela.
Try to search here. Link

Why would you link someone who has clearly stated they have an I9100 to I9100G firmware ? You do realise a lot of people who ask for help here take whatever help you give them rather literally & tend to blindly do what they're told without thinking ?
I hope for your sake this guy doesn't download one of the firmwares you linked to & flash it, you owe him a new phone if he does.
Edit - OP, you're very confused. There was only one 4.1.2 I9100 stock firmware released for Venezuela, which is available on Samfirmware - VNO - I9100UHMS8. There is no 4.1.2 firmware XXLPQ. You can use any stock firmware from any carrier, it doesn't make any difference. However, you seem to be completely lacking in 'the basics'. If you attempt to flash anything with your current lack of knowledge, you're asking for a busted phone. Read the guides/tutorials stickied near the top of the General section before you do anything.
