Xtended NavBar
Xtended NavBar is an Xposed Framework module that adds an extra functionality to the navigation bar.
Swipe from the edges to change to Music player or Quick settings. Swipe back to show the navigation buttons again.
In the donate version you can also show favorite apps.
Playstore | Xposed Repo
Compatibility:
This module was developed for AOSP based roms. Don't expect it to work on heavily modified non AOSP based roms like Sense, Touchwiz.
Should be compatible with some other navigation bar customization modules.
It's recommended to do a nandroid backup if you're using the app for the first time.

I think you should change description, it's not "Concept video", it's really working! Well done!
Wow! really cool app! works well on my Moto G PA 4.4 RC2
I think a good idea for a panel would be a camera shutter button
Awesome

Great idea, i'll definitely add more stuff in future and this might be one of those things.
Doesn't work on Carbon Rom latest nightly, doesn't even show up, any ideas? Donated too :/
(Wifi is broken on latest nightly too though on Nexus 4 so I wouldn't read too much into that)

well
Awesome work
was planning to make something similar
but you beat me to it
nice work though
Great idea. Like djsubterrain said, doesn't work on carbon ROM. Cant wait till it does though. Any chance you could upload it to the xposed app also?

I've got SlimRom nand backup too, I'll try it on there.
EDIT: Yeah, doesn't work on that either, I think both are based on CM11 though if that makes a difference. Also, I had changed the choice of navigation bar buttons, would that matter?]
I use menu, home, back and long pressing on back brings up recents.
If it helps, My face unlock also didn't show when I disabled the nav bar, when I enabled it again, back came the face unlock.
In other views...I wish xposed would go on the play store and have integration so your choice of modules could be saved under your google account.
I wish this was open source...
I really would like to use this one!
Very cool, nice job! I'm excited to use this.
Edit - ditto on the open source request.

You've done a better job than what I planned actually. I was going to have a button on the very left of the bar
When you pressed the button the Home button would become Play, Back would become Rewind and so on
When you pressed it again it would turn back
Never even thought if swiping :good:

One idea I had for it to stop accidental swipes would be to pinch to toggle a lock on the present page, good idea?
Well thank you! It's not that I want to copy anything but you know the power of Xposed shouldn't be underrated
Thank you!

Softkeys Fade Mod
Fades the softkeys to black after not touching it for some time
(for Xposed Framework)
Note: This doesn't hide the navigation bar at all. This only hides the softkeys/buttons.
What is SoftkeysFadeMod?
SoftkeysFadeMod is a unique found only in Cataclysm ROM by atl4ntis
It was originally posted here as a teaser.
This is slightly different from the one in Cataclysm ROM since it's code is not open sourced.
Why use SoftkeysFadeMod?
As said by the original creator himself here, it is to prevent AMOLED screen burn in's and give your phone a nice minimalist look.

Great mod, but it's not working perfectly on Nexus 5, Kitkat 4.4.2.
You can download video here. Take a look at the softkeys.
Still, great idea, thanks, for creating this mod!

Great job. But also some problems on n5 4.4.2 with doubled icons and unable to tap Home sometimes.
Great work as always bud
Works great on stock LG G2. I did find a bug though. The soft keys stay on the screen if I pull down the notification panel. Interestingly, it's only the two middle soft key buttons.

Amazing module. One request, tho. Could you add the values from 0-499 in fade delay. I would like to set mine to 0.
in addition, I would like it if I can input the time for fade and fade time myself instead of having to scroll through all the numbers 1 by 1.

Hi, based on former experience I am happy to present 5.1 Liscio Fast Forward including self-compiled AOSP kernel (with DT2W and S2W). Few other modifications which were carefully chosen. Feel free to post your feature request here but be aware this will always stay as close as possible to stock.
Please flash this with Gapps of your choice. I used SimpleAOSP's.
Downloads and feature list in the second post; and for screenshots, have a look at the third post.
I can not take any responsibility damaging your device or alarm clock which will not come off. If you decide to flash my ROM, you are getting responsible yourself. Have a functioning Nandroid in case something goes wrong.

Reboot your device and spam the power button. This will disable the xposed framework and all the modules. You can then go and change the settings in the module or disable it and reboot.
Hi,
Great idea!
Few things though:
It would be very nice that the things you mention in OP would be realized. I tried this on a GT-I9505 (galaxy mega 6.3) and such phone needs it for the keyboaard only IMHO. Other apps are no problem to have them fullscreen. So maybe:
- on per app basis (where keyboard is an app too)
- masterswitch in notification area or as widget (or any place that can be reached easily to switch keyboard to one side)
Kind regards,
Treare

Support layer ?
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 6 mit Tapatalk
Yes. And any ROM based on marshmallow uses layers. Cm hasn't made theme engine for m yet
Glad to see this is out .
Is there a particular gapps package that should be used?
EDIT: Ended up using the gapps package used with the PureNexus ROM and it seems to have worked just fine.
All feature who mention here is working or in progress also should i flash SU?
[/COLOR]Link not works!
wow nice feature list ! onlly one thing missing, i woulda jumped on this if it was there "Navigation Bar Settings" to edit the nav buttons like moving them and double tapping them to put screen to sleep etc.

As of right now, the dt2sleep on the nav is part of the nav bar tweaks, I am sure more features will be added eventually

That is Destiny Dark, can be found here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bitsykolayers.ddarktheme&hl=en
The nav bar is part of the navigate layers theme:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rc.navigate&hl=en
I use the Google Colored 2 nav bar in it, you would also need to delete any nav bar applied by the layer of your choosing in case it applies its own, some do, some don't
First thanks...
Just a heads up..
The link for download in OP does not work on Tapatalk...
PS. I got the download...

Hi again! I've got another module for you all
This simple module makes the device "think" it's held in a certain orientation.
How does that help you?
Well, have you ever tried to read something in landscape mode while lying on your side?
I did, and I failed, because the screen rotated back.
Brilliant! But, how does this module work?
It basically disables systems' orientation sensor listeners (more battery juice side-effect?) and feeds it fake data.
Won't having the device always rotated be a pain in the arse?
No worries! Here's the best part: if you turn off auto-rotation (via quicksettings, for example), the device remains in it's original mode.
And, if you don't have quicksettings, you can make a shortcut on your homescreen from this app which does exactly that.
So, it's easily toggleable
Compatible with all Android versions from 4.0.3 'Ice Cream Sandwich' to 9.0 'Oreo'.

Nice, but after I tested it I uninstalled it but unfortunately the device doesn't behave stock like so I think the settings persist even if you uninstall the module. Could you please look into that? Thanks in advance!

After uninstalling you need to reboot for it to take effect. Just like with installing.

Even after reboot it's still activated.

lol, if you uninstalled it and rebooted it isn't possible for it to work.
And since this module doesn't do any permanent changes, it must be something else.
Thanks alot, working great in my lg lbello runing 5.0.2
Can you added an option to whitelist apps?

Great, tnx, you rock
I'm sorry to ask, but i'm not sure to understand.
Isn't it the same to turn off screen rotation when you want it to remain in portrait, and disable when landscape is needed ?
I use this method cause i like my screen not to turn when i'm moving or lying on my side, and turn on rotation when I need to, for seeing a photo per exemple.

Is there such functionality? Neither my Xperia Z 5.1 or Nexus 6P 6.0 can do that.
No matter if my devices are in portrait or landscape when I disable auto-rotation it just goes back to portrait.

Usually when you turn off rotation lock and out your phone in landscape, you can lock it again but this time in landscape!
@gordonpn After doing some proper research I found this TechRepublic article.
It turns out it's not present on all devices out of the box and not on older Androids at all.
Tomorrow, along with app whitelisting, I'll add Gingerbread support too. I hope more people will find this module useful then.
could this force landscape mode on apps that doesn't allow it? TIA!
Can't guarantee that I'm right but I feel like the Landscape lock is only in CM13(never had it before on any older versions of Android or ROMs)? Cause I never really cared to notice it on an AOSP Based ROM(I can check it if you want) but I can clearly see the option working on the CM13 Based ROM I'm using right now...
Check the attached screenshot. BTW I'm using a OnePlus One(Bacon).

I experimented a bit, but the apps glitched and crashed a lot. I don't think that feature would be usable.

No need for that. Thanks for the insight though.
Got the 1.1 out!
Changes:
Code:
- Gingerbread support
- Implemented app whitelist
@XspeedPL
Hi!
Can you add option which would work by checking screen orientation and locking to that position when auto rotation is turned off.
Don't know if this module supposed to work so, but for me this broke auto rotation. Quick settings auto rotate -toggle became portrait/landscape -toggle which aint good for me. I can't lock screen to any position, but only make auto rotation toggle an 1/2 toggle when phone can be held 4 ways.
working great on galaxy s6 MM
Can you add option '' 0° '' ?
Great job
Tnx

Well, that's what I had in mind when I made this module.
I know that you can hold devices 4 ways, but in the end you really only need 2 in my opinion: portrait and landscape.
The "orientation sensor" thing only ever complicated things for me.
