Just wanted to know if custom roms for a116 are compatible with xolo q700?.As it has the same chipset MTK6589,kernel version 3.4.5 and base rom 4.2.1..?

I have Micromax Canvas Gold which is based on MT6592. It came with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box. Most roms available for MT6592 are based on Android 4.2. Is there any way i can port it to my device.?

I have an MT6589 Android phone running Android 4.2.2. And I tried to port a Kitkat rom for it and failed. It seemed that Ithere's some problems on kernel.(The normal kernel version is 3.4.5).The phone is Coolpad 7270_W00.It has 512MB RAM(IN fact 486MB),MT6589 CPU and 4GB emmc.
