CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

CM doesn't offer fingerprint settings in their source. I am giving the kernel fingerprint support so if you use apps that can use it, it will be ready.

I flashed a modded CM 10.2 from the N7100 thread to my AT&T SGH-I317 (using the port guide from the AT&T SGH-I317 forum) and this is going to be a great new rom base for us all using the t0lte (and variants like mine). Really, really quick and smooth.
I just couldn't get the phone radio working but wifi worked straight out of the box. I couldn't even add an APN. In my trials (and mostly errors) in attempting to port from the N7100 the phone radio has almost always been the issue when my ports have failed. It seems that building from source is the way to go to add proper functionality.
Since the N7105 and the SGH-I317 are virtually the same, I cannot wait for your successful CM 10.2. Until I get a build machine running I appreciate all the efforts of experts such as you!! Thank you so much for fueling my rom addiction!!

No, didn't test the battery life because I actually do need a phone from time to time.
I restored back to a working ROM after playing a bit. My phone is also my alarm clock so I needed that back, too.

Thank you. Is this official? Are you the official device maintainer?
I'm asking because I know nightlies have been out for about a week now but there hasn't been a single word about it and it was somewhat hidden from other users.
Also I understood that WIFI isn't working if you are using the new .97 radio - does the issue still exist?

Yes this is. @XpLoDWilD and I are currently maintaining Mako. We just forgot to make a thread heh.
I don't have the .97 radio on my phone right now, so I can't verify. Should be working fine though. Got a logcat?

Unless taking a logcat isn't just the adb command "adb logcat", keep in mind I need to learn how to do that ... If someone else can volunteer that would be great.

Q&A
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why don't I have root access after installing OmniROM?
A: OmniROM does not have an official, prebuilt root method yet, so you'll just need to flash SuperSU in recovery and you'll have 100% working root access. SuperSU can be found here: SuperSU
Q: Where is <insert feature here>, like CM/AOKP/PA/etc have??
A: Omni is still very early in development, but moving at an incredibly fast rate. New feature, bug fixes, and device support are added just about daily. Check it out here: OmniROM Gerrit Review for the latest and greatest
Q: How do I start/stop screen recording?
A: Volume UP + Power will start screen recording. Simply drag the notification bar down and click the button to stop.
Q: HALP NFC doesn't work!!
A: We know.
First! ill test it out when I get home. Anyways you might want to change the att dowmload section. The links show sprint but on top of the links say att.

AWESOME!! Will definitely give it a go later this evening! Thanks for bringing this to us!
Also, some things to look forward to in the near future:
Omni File Explorer - OmniROMs native root file manager
native root support (you will no longer need to flash SuperSU in recovery)
OpenDelta - Omni's OTA Updater
NFC fix *properly*
Multi-Window
a big surprise in the next few hours

ParanoidAndroid gapps bring more Google stuffs
Banks does not bring as much google stuff, feels more "minimal" to me, but that's just my personal opinion. but with each of these, they both have several different packages, all doing different things. just look at their posts to see the details
OP UPDATED

I've been using the noobdev CM11 for a couple of weeks and it is rock solid. I might backup and give it a go this weekend.
Thanks!
So this is 4.4.1 with the camera software improvements? The screen shot show version 4.4 so that's why I'm wondering

Awesome. And yes, that's a big part of the 4.4.1 update is camera speed/auto focus improvement.

Yeh I am pretty sure I know what the problem is will fix shortly. Thanks for the heads up
Edit: new deb build up should fix boot problem

The new build seems just fine. I was able to install right on top of the unofficial build I had been using without any problems. All seems to be working.

Unofficial is rooted, with cherry picks multi-window, lock screen notifications, dalvik tweaks, etc and bulletproof kernel to add sweep and tap wake functions
Official builds are stable and pure omni with no cherry picks or additional tweaks.
I am debating shutting down the other threads now that this is up.

Oh Wow !!!!
I have been waiting to try Omni for a while but the official rather than the un-official.
So glad I found this thread. Its one of the best Roms I have run on my N7. Only beaten by Clean rom but as the dev has moved on and not developing for the N7 now, this Omni is my daily. Thanks a lot dev :highfive::highfive::highfive:

DEVICE DISCLAIMER:
I DON'T OWN THE DEVICE. TESTING ON THE SPECIFIC DEVICE WILL BE LIMITED TO TESTERS
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested ON HAMMERHEAD, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.
And lastly, this is first and foremost a ROM about Nexus 5 (hammerhead). This is my personal device, this is where I test the ROM. ANGLER, bullhead, flo, mako, shamu builds are provided AS-IS. With that in mind, I have to say that the google+ community has been flashing angler builds for a looong time and hasn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd share it here, too.
That said, welcome aboard!

You should really, really join the Google+ community as this is where I am much more available. Also, the google+ links won't work if you don't.
If your AOSP keyboard FCs on swipe, flash the attached zip! (Sorry for that, it was supposed to be fixed months ago)

As @llevo3 said, Open-GApps are recommended for maximum stock like experience. If you want to go simpler, you can always use BaNks. Please don't skip reading the F.A.Q. as it contains pretty much all the regular questions!
Been running this on my shamu for a while now completely bug free , snappy and just awesome.
If you like a minimal , stable , reliable ROM , this is it.
Cheers George :good:
