What device, carrier, and version of android is your device running? If you can provide me with some more information, I will be happy to help you out with any questions you have.

You would also (probably) need to know about unlocking your bootloader. But as @shimp208 said, in order to help you, you would have to give details about your phone.

You need to give more information than this. What device do you have? Clarify your question.

Hi
I am on 23.0.1.A.0.167 4.4.4

I appreciate the guidance, but I, like the OP, would like to know if there is another way of doing this w/o having to downgrade... no need to belittle the question, after all this is a forum, where by definitions questions are expected...
BTW, anybody has found a way to root 4.4.4 w/o downgrade? Thanks!

Despite all the negative feedback you've gotten by asking your question, YES there is a way. I found it and then created a new thread with the step-by-step.
Unfortunately, it does require unlocking bootloader and a few other tradeoffs such as losing X-reality and your warranty.
For full details: ROOT without downgrade

Can I get stock Marshmallow on Moto E UK?

As title really, can't really find a definitive answer.
It was a UK Tesco handset but unlocked to all, and still running the standard Moto stock firmware.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

there's nothing you can do if your device manufacture don't provide software update. But one way you can test new android version is to flash custom rom instead.

Not at all.the rom are specific for different phone. You can't use other phones rom to your phone. It will brick your phone. So search for only rom that support for your phone model.
Yeah I kinda did that but no success unfortunately I was helping that someone can point me in the right direction

Tell me your device name and model so that I can help you to find the correct rom for you.But don't hope too much. You can barely find a custom rom for your device because it is a very much chines phone and not a popular smartphone for development.
There you go! Thank you!
