I flashed the JB latest stock firmware which i downloaded from here, http://xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/20-sony-xperia-p-lt22 , using flashtool, i unchecked data, and did not check 'no final verification'. The flashing completed but after i flashed, when i turn on my phone, the boot screen just keeps loading on forever. Also i did not enable USB debugging cuz i forgot... My phone is bootloader unlocked.
Can someone help me? :crying: :crying:

First of all turn it off, hold volume up + power untill you feel (1+) 3 vibrations, and charge.
What firmware version you had before?

I charged. I was previously using Honami MW HD™ V8 .. with nemesis 6.3.. I don't know why this happened. I have flashed several different ROMs earlier but no problem like this whatsoever occurred.
Oh and also, when i first flashed the ROM last night, I was using an older version of Flashtool. But then later i downloaded the latest version and flashed with it too but the result was still the same.

I would think it's the fact you did not clear data so you can try just that (exclude everything and just leave all clear options checked) or do full flash.

There 2 choices:
Have the data and not be able to use the phone.
Or, lose the data and be able to use your phone.
Up to you which you choose.
It's not like you didn't know it is advised to back up your data before flashing ROM

Try to flash the kernel you had, and perhaps the ROM too without wiping data, it's a long shot but nothing to lpse other than your time.
BTW what data are you worried about, some may be backed up on your google account.

I did flash Nemesis 6.3 but still the phone won't start. And I can't reach CWM even after flashing it but CWM is supposed to be installed along with the kernel. Why can't I go to CWM?

Hi guys,
I've been using my Sola for over a year now and I like the phone, i got the CM9 build from freeXperia on it (FXP 210 CM 9 PEPPER) with cwm on it and loved it.
Two weeks ago trouble began when the phone was very unreliable, it rebooted several times a day, sometimes I noticed that the phone got very warm when rebooting.
I found out that there was no diskspace left, so I deleted some of the playlists on Spotify that I downloaded and that gave me back about 2 gb of internal room.
Since yesterday some processes where quitting and this happened a couple of times (it was the google media process), this morning after being on the adapter for the night the problem was still there. So I rebooted the phone (normal reboot) and then the trouble really kicked in.
When I boot now I see a message stating "Android is being updated, starting apps" then I see my normal lockscreen and the errors start rollling in.
The only errors I can see are the "android.phone process stopped working" and "NFC service stopped". When I press close on those they keep coming back, so fast I cant't even get past my lockscreen anymore.
On the phone is some very critical data to me, I have to restore that data (its in a encrypted app database). As long as I can save that data and restore it to use when the android/app is restored I'm fine.
Can someone give me advise on how to continue?

Where is that data located? If it's on internal memory in it's own directory it will remain intact if you repair/flash firmware.
EDIT: some other thoughts, try to remove the SIM or switch to airplain mode.
I'm not 100% percent sure where it is located, It's on the internal memory but I'm not sure if where it is exactly. It's a database of an app.
Won't I lose all my files on reflash? Reflash can be done with fastboot right? And I should reflash the firmware (kernel?)? Not the rom itself?
Already tried rebooting with SIM and sdcard out, no luck though.
No luck on connecting to ADB, I tried but USB debugging is turned off and my drivers seem to let me down... I can get connect to fastboot
Other ideas?

Too bad USB debugging is off.
If database is on device memory than it will be lost if you wipe data on flash. If you don't wipe data you may still have those errors, but you can take your chances and try without wiping data.
Yes with flashtool, do you have the FTF file for the firmware you are currently using?
Is it tooted and have CWM on it?
I don't have the FTF anymore, but I know where to find it.
Luckily I have CWM on it.
Do I have to reflash with the zip or just run the update?

I think best is to make your own FTF.
Start repair with PC Companion, and when it finish downloading the files and ask to shut down the phone, stop and create the FTF as explained here.
The FTF can only be flashed with flashtool.
I don't mean to sound rude but why do I want my own FTF?
Do you mean a FTF from the OEM firmware, they can be downloaded from XDA as well.
Or do you mean creating an FTF from the files that are now on my phone?

I've seen a few people hat flashing firmware they download didn't work well for them but flashing with SUS or PCC did.
I'm not twisting your hand, if you rather use FTF you can download somewehere and it works then do that.
Ok so i tried to flash the kernel, the flashing went well but the error persists.
I think it's time to conclude that my data is gone..
It gave me some headaches and I sweared a lot but i got it working again.
I've flashed the boot.img, didn't resolve the issue.
I've updated the same rom over my old rom, didn't solve the issue.
I wiped cache only (to try and see if it would work) and this worked.
So it might have been a cache problem after all.
The updating android thingy was shown again only this time it said it had to update 100+ apps, and it did. After that I could use my phone again.
First things first, lets make a backup .
Thanks ChickeD (i've thanked you on XDA for your help)
This can be marked as [RESOLVED]
Okay here`s the situation.
My GT-P7500 a.k.a p4 is having a problem. Whenever I boot up, it will freeze at the boot animation, and power off if not charging and go to the charging screen if is plugged. I was using SlimBean when I had the problem, flashed AOKP and still the same. Next, when I get to recovery, wiping data takes a looooooooooooong time and never finished (Seriously 3 hours and nothing). Wiping cache`s fine. Tried using TWRP but then I`m stuck on the TWRP Boot screen. I reverted back to CWM but still the same. Is it bricked or something? Is there any solution? I`m hoping for an answer ASAP. Thank you...

had the same issue on my p4wifi...it is a corrupted file.
1) you can odin a rom..this will wipe the data completely
or
2) try to flash the last rom you were successfully on..then wipe the sdcardthis will wipe the data completelyand cache..dalvik. Then try to boot it up.
If second option doesnt work( because of the dirty flash ). Then i would either use odin or push a rom to the device and do a clean install.
Just had a brain storm..you could use twrp file manager to delete files you dont need. Might get lucky and its something you downloaded recently. ( wasnt a twrp recovery when this happened to me )

Hey guys hope you are well, wondering if you can help me with an issue on my Z2. I've noticed recently my phone has started to fell very hot to touch and occassionally lagging a bit doing pretty normal things like web browsing. I ran unutu and found that I wasn't getting the scores that I usually got even at stock and when overclocked a message would come up stating that my phone was too hot to even start the test. I've don't think it's too many apps I've checked my cpu oads during normal use and they always stay under 40%. I run greenify and have manager to limit the number of apps at start up. I also run at -12 volatge daily and I haven't run into any issues with temps up to now so I really can't figure out what it could be. Anyone have any ideas to to what could have caused it?
Bump, anyone?

I'm using the Sirius audio rom, I haven't heard any reports of it overheating and it was fine the 1st time I installed so I think you may be right in saying my partition may be screwed up.
Just tried backing up my data using cwm and it comes up with an error message: 'Error while making a backup of /system' I definitely have enough space on my sd card, any idea what could be causing this?
EDIT: When backing up my it says there's only 700mb free when I know there's at least 17gb! some thing's definitely not right here

I'd recommend using stock rom as is for a couple of days, it'll give you a control to compare your custom rom with and hopefully rule out possible hardware issues.

So tried flashing a stock ftf rom but I'm getting the same temps as before, also when I try and flash a new rom I get a message saying 'android is upgrading: Starting apps'
Ok so tried deleting the system cache and deleted the dalvik cache as well as factory reset the device but now I cant flash a new rom or even charge the phone. Someone please help I basically have an unusable brick. Is there anything I can do or is the phone only fit for the bin now?

Pressing the Power and Home buttons at the same time will grab an image of the screen. This can be awkward to get right, so it’s important to remember to press both buttons at the same time, and hold them until the shutter sound is heard. (You need to hold the Power button slightly before pressing the Home button, then hold them both down.)

Or that it was working fine up till a few weeks ago. Try clearing cache and delvik cache in recovery first.
If not a re-flash is most likely needed. also I would upgrade to higher that 4.1.2 as its known to brick phones and cause all sorts of other problems.

Keep in mind that if you upgrade to 4.3 there is no going back. However I'm almost sure that if you upgrade to a stock 4.3 based rom the screen shot is going to work.
First step is factory reset, followed by flashing the latest stock rom for your country. If it is still the same afterward then test the button hardware.

Well well... hahaha. 4.3 is not so bad., of course you have knox in it. and if you dont want to void your warranty by rooting your phone and changing roms, then stay in the 4.1. That's of course if you still have warranty . I have an i9305 not the I9300 , but i9300 has the 4.3 too . Now my phone has reached another level which is the 4.4.4 kitkat. You probably messed up something, don't ever lose your efs partition backup.
Did you flash csc or home_csc with odin? Use the csc without "home".
home_csc doesn't wipe your phone completely, also backup your data, pictures etc somewhere else as it might erase those too(haven't done this since forever so I don't remember).

Which firmware files have you flashed?
Also make sure it's the right one for your sim card.

Did you try what I said before with the sim card? Also try
putting it in the other slot.
What happens when you long press the airplane icon?
Do you see your IMEI codes when you dial *#06# or do you get zeros or NULL? Don't post them here if you do, just say yes or no

Again, you didn't take a backup before trying something weird and later something weirder, why?
I'd suggest reflashing stock but you should wait for someone else to try and help you as it may involve fixing partitions among other things.

Welcome, well good thing you had that. Worst case you'll have to take it to Samsung and them wanting to replace hardware, best case things haven't been overwritten so it's restorable through some method.
Pick a custom ROM and stick to that when you fix it.
In the future always make backups, especially since it's a Samsung phone and things that control your IMEI are more reachable than they should be.
Good luck!
