Hello everybody,
As title says I need HTC one Max (Sprint) v4.4.2 stock recovery.. I decided to gift my One Max to my brother and because he doesn't know anything about flashing and changing ROMs I want the device to be in stock recovery so he can receive future updates without hassle !
I saw one post before somewhere which got the stock recovery for One max (Sprint) but I couldn't fine it !
The device is bootloader Unlocked and S-OFF, I tried to flash RUU but it returned Unknown error !! which is strange because I flashed RUU more than 3 times before to restore it to factory status and it worked but this time I couldn't do that ! I don't know why ..
So guys anyone has Stock recovery for One Max (Sprint) kindly send me the download link for it.
Thanks in advance,, :good:

Excellent, Thank you very much !
For the record, I wasn't sure if I had the correct stock recovery until I received an Ota update. Normally I would see the Android robot with the triangle logo. I didn't get that this time around. It was a phone with a upward arrow and a circle around it. Worked like a charm.

I've unlocked the bootloader and rooted my HTC One but over time, it quits working. None of the apps can gain root and Koush's superuser states su needs to updated but can't gain root to do it.
A simple reboot fixes it. I'm still running the stock ROM with no need to switch.
Anyone else have this issue?

Hi there, I'm facing the same issue with my HTC One SV, it looses root and a reboot regains the root. Like you, I don't want to change my stock rom, but I'd like to have root access and remove the bloatware (again, which comes back after reboot). Any help is appreciated.

Dear all
I have international htc amaze, i desperately wanted to get it updated to official ICS for that i contacted htc Philippine, they regretted to give an update on Singapore origin phone.
finally thought of rooting it and to flash CM 10.1 on it, i got it rooted by Hanson 2000 root kit. but when i installed a ROM on it, it keeps on rebooting i had to change the ROM and get back to stock ROM which is GB 2.3. but i definitely want to try it.
my phone specs
using 4 ext recovery with smart flash enabled.
phone is s-on.
i haven't done super CID.
i am afraid of doing s-off because it may brick my phone and for super CID i have read full thread i did not get what super CID is and is it necessary to super CID.
it is not like i am new to rooting i have done rooting on Samsung phones and i must say they are and something goes wrong u can always use Odin to get an stock back.
HTC its horrible
please comment and help

Hey guys; there's a new update for LTE optimization for the ATT HTC One.
With me running TWRP, I have no idea how to install it because I can't find where my phone downloaded the update.
Can someone tell me how to install an update with a custom recovery or link me to the stock ATT HTC One recovery?
Thanks.

I installed the stock recovery. Already had the stock Rom on my phone. When I go to recovery, it shows a black screen for about 10 seconds and then it shows an Android phone with a Red triangle with a "!" in the middle of it. What does this mean?
The phone works normally if I don't go to recovery.
EDIT: After like 4 minutes of that screen, it just goes to the startup screen and starts up the phone normally.
Can someone give me a system dump that has installed the new update
Nvm found it ! In development section I just never visit this att forum

Hi everyone,
I have received a OTA update for my one max the other day for sense 6.
It keeps failing. My bootloader has been unlocked and relocked. Could this be why it keeps failing? I'm still on the stock recovery , unrooted.
I booted into recovery when i fails and can see the below message

I am not sure if you can access this folder without being rooted but you can give it a try. No harm in it. If it works, fine or you always have an option to flash custom recovery.

I did, and I still got the same error. "No such file or directory"
I must be getting the path wrong. It says checking system, data/preload/tunein.apk
I think maybe I need to create that file on the system folder, but it's not visible from my pc and I won't save on my phone, (I think because I don't have root)
Any idea's?? I appreciate your help so far dude [emoji106]

Your computer wont be able to see system folder/files. You need a root browser from play store to do the trick for you. You need to create a preload folder un System/data using root browser. I believe you need to have root access in order to do these steps and for this you'll need a unlocked bootloader, custom recovery and super user flashed.

Hi, thanks again for your previous help!
I'm still battling away with this thing trying to get S-OFF so I can relock bootloader and get my finger print scanner working.
Firewater and rumrunner don't seem to work, they both say I need a different (unsecured) kernal. I've tried flashing one, and almost bricked my phone......
Not sure where to go from here?
Any suggestions would be awesome.

Like I said earlier, I did S-Off when I was on 2.47 hboot and I didn't need any Insecure Kernel. I am not sure if 2.49 would require an insecure kernel to S-Off with fire water.
I will read that forum for you to find out if you would need an Insecure Kernel and will let you know. In the mean time you keep searching as well my friend.
