Ftf for sgp511 .402 - does the region matter - Xperia Z2 Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Wondering, there is a CA and a DE version posted here on XDA. Is there any difference? I have the australian unbranded model.

Why are you guys always SOOO lazy???
There's a thread in "Xperia Z2 Tablet General" for this FW, posted by me.

Where in your thread does it talk about regional differences? I already mentioned I found your DE version. Nice hostile response btw.

You'll get to used to it, it never changes. This has to be the most hostile xda forum of all the ones i've read... (and i've read a fair few)

Xperia mini

I know that this is the Xperia x10 mini forums but is there a place for the Xperia mini? Links to the page, if there is one, would be great.
Thanks in advance guys.

By what I get, they're wating for the device get a little more knew, because it's a new device and is only sold in some Asian countries. Somewhat close to the USA ou UK launch, I think they will create. I am correct?

But I have an Xperia mini in England. Ok fair enough though if it isn't released in US. Thanks.

Could you let me know how to install official ics for my sgh i777 official as I am not in USA I am in Hong Kong. Thanks in advance

You can download the official kies firmware update in Odin flashable tar form from http://samsung-updates.com/
Or you can grab the same tar from the Download Repoisitory.
You can get a rooted stock firmware in Odin flashable tar form from the Development forum.
There is no need to start a new thread for this. Search.language restrictions are not a good excuse to claim ignorance.

You want us to come to HK and do it for you? I mean, since we have nothing better to do than hold your hand through the process we might as well do it in person.
I live in the US. I bought a DVD player from Hong Kong. It doesn't work. Come fix it naoooww.

You know what I am most disapointed in?
I am not disapointed that another newbie made a needless thread. That i can deal with.. it will always happen; i cannot stop it.
What I am REALLY disapointed in, is that 8 people decided to waste time and post, and only ONE... ONE even bothered to hit that report button. Want to know something honest? The people who spam up threads like this are JUST as bad as the people who post without searching.
I shouldn't have to say this.. REPORT THE THREAD, AND MOVE ON...

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE SHV-E120L

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post. I tried searching the net and this forum for answers but can't find any so I'm trying my luck here. The problem with the phone is it is from korea and I'm from the philippines. Function wise there is nothing wrong except that when anyone sends me an sms the phone does not recognize the sender when the sender is already added to my contacts. When I try calling my phone using the same phone I use to send an sms it can recognize the caller from my contacts. What is the problem? how do i solve this?
Try the GT-I9100 Q&A forum.

Actually the LTE is not an i9100. Unless I'm wrong here, the LTE version came out a couple months ago in Canada and I haven't seen a forum for it yet. Questions on it have surfaced on several different forums.

It isn't but for awhile they had a thread in the I9100 section for cm9/10 I think dsixda has moved to another device though.

I know this is old, but I want to know the same question. I got my phone in Korea, its listed as shv-e120l. I have the same texting issue, and
it can only manage "g" (that's what the icon displays) not 4g speeds which I've tested at only 48kbps.
I think I should flash an ATT firmware, but after several days of searching (seriously) I don't know if I'm going to brick my phone. Help please!!:crying:

Which rom works with what carrier?

I'm due for a new phone on October 1st through sprint, and I already have my mind set on the galaxy s3.
Although after looking through the forum I see that there's a bunch of roms. Which is a good thing, except none of them are marked as to which carrier they work for (that I've seen.)
So without having to ask each thread, is there something that I'm missing? Basically, is there some way of telling which one will work with which carrier?
I'm coming from the evo that was a sprint only phone. So it was pretty simple in that there was no choosing.
Thank you,

Considering you're in the i9300 forum, what do you think? All ROMs made for the i9300 will work for all kinds of i9300, and there's only two types of the i9300, the 16GB model and the 32GB model.

I'm using tapatalk and thought I was in the right place. Until I started seeing roms for different countries, I got a little skeptical.
I had a feeling that it was a simple answer, I just wanted to be sure. Lol
Thanks bud,

The only thing that "should" differ country-wise would be localization and language. Nothing else.

[HUMOUR] You know you're rooted when...

I saw this thread in one of the forums and could relate to most of them.. so just post and complete this sentence "You know you're rooted when.."..
had a hearty laugh at some ones.. so thought I should share em with you guys..
Examples:
wscott9903: You know you're rooted when 1/2 of your apps require superuser permission.
feralicious: You know you're rooted when your spouse tells you they're leaving you and taking the kids and you think "perfect timing, (insert dev name here) just released a new ICS ROM".
jayochs: you know you're rooted when your phones buggy as hell lol
putney1477: You know you're rooted when, you husband, wife, significant other gets a new phone and says, don't you dare come near this phone, it works fine!
jackpot08: You know your rooted when when spend more time flashing roms than using your phone..
Add more if you have some good ones. .
Hit the thanks button if you all like it..

You know you're rooted when someone asks you to take a picture, and laugh because the camera isn't working in this nightly.
You know your rooted when your favorite dev hasn't released an update recently and your having flash withdrawl symptoms.

This doesn't really relate to our device. More so a general root thread. Which I think may fit more appropriately in the general forum (not our general forum, the main one not phone specific).
