I did a nandroid backup but didn't there it will be in yaff2 format and with no boot.img.
I installed CM so flashed CM's Boot.img which has CWM in it.
So want I want is a Stock Boot.img with or without CWM or a way to extract boot.img from the backup
CWM for our devices doesn't do a backup of the boot.img. If you want the stock kernel (of the stock rom) flash the kernel.sin (either find it somewhere or use the one in a firmware.ftf) using flashtool and root the phone. If you want you can install cwm using the xparts app from playstore. These are many steps, but the easiest way would be to flash a prerooted kernel for the stock rom

I have my Z2 with Stock ROM and UBL, I want a custom Recovery to flash Cyanogenmod or any custom ROM, how I can get it? Can I flash the TWRP FOTA image by fastboot ? (I tried do it but on CWM only says "waiting for device" what I'm missing?) Please help. TIA

Have you searched? These seem like fairly basic questions. Possibly questions that may have been answered in a kernel thread, recovery thread and a cm12 thread.
Search before post dude !
Use fastboot in flashtool, how ?
Use search button

Ok I finally flashed the recovery TWRP but cannot join to recovery I press the vol+ when phone is booting but it simply bott normally
You need a custom kernel, try flashing Advanced Stock Kernel by AndroPlus
Pressing Power key during boot will tell the kernel to load fotakernel(recovery)
This one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3005894 that Kernel includes a Recovery? I only want flash a custom ROM (no stock) and forget Stock

Well flash this so you can use fotakernel so you can use fotakernel to flash a custom rom
Thanks, I'll flash the Advanced Stock Kernel and later I'll try to install Cyanogenmod or Resurrection Remix, hope it works.
Have any one got stock recovery of lollipop 5.1 of CONDOR?
Please provide the stock recovery image of 5.1 lollipop if you have it.
It is required for installing the new stagefright bug fix update in devices with custom recovery installed.
If you have not flashed a custom recovery while rooting, please provide the stock recovery image (which can be backed up by FLASHIFY APP).
If you are planning to root your 5.1 running moto e, please use
Code:
fastboot boot recovery recovery.img
instead of
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
for having custom recovery (like TWRP).
Then backup recovery image and share!
Hi I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this question so do let me know if it isn't.
I have an Xperia C3, and am currently on stock 5.0 rom. There is another zip file containing the prerooted rom+recovery but the dev has not responded to my asking for the boot.img and recovery zip needed to ADB flash recovery on any 5.1.1 rom of my choosing.
So my question is, is it possible to simply extract the recovery zip and boot.img from the prerooted zip and then installing it via adb onto a no-recovery stock 5.1.1 rom?
After i flash and install resurrection remix rom i cant boot to recovery mode again. Please help me to boot to twrp recovery..

Same problem here after flashed Carbon Android 7.1.2 in Sony Z2 D6543.
Just flash a kernel for your device with recovery included, using flashtool. Then flash whatever kernel you have for the rom. The recovery will not be erased provided the kernel of your rom doesn't contain a recovery img
