Bricked Tronsmart with messed up partitions MTK6589 4GB - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This thread is for helping to recover a bricked Tronsmart

Urgent - Bricked!!!
Urgent issue!!!
Yesterday during the day my Tronsmart TS7 (MTK6589) did not want to turn on from sleep (ColorOS), until the everything was ok.
I tried to enter TWRP recovery but it was just showing the teamwin logo, tried to restart and enter OS but also showed only bootlogo.
I used SP Flash tools with my Stock rom to try get it back to life but option Firmware upgrade messed it up, format was done and now GP1 to GP4 partitions show 0 Mb and NAND memory missing while emmc shows 3628 Mb but cannot format and download from SP Flash the /data, /system and /cache, tried to format through new recovery and flashing zip but without success.
I tried also using Download from KVD K7 and Cubot one (bot without flashing preloader), I managed to flash everything except the main three partitions, strangely emmc (internal SD card is OK and writable from Windows).
It seems it is bricked.
Can someone please provide a MTK Droid backup so that I can try to restore the whole phone?
Thanks to everyone.

This is usually caused by the boot.img of a device not matched to your uboot. Use your own Stock boot.img and make the necessary edits in the init.rc for the Color OS

Not sure why TWRP would not work unless this too was for a different phone/kernel to yours.

Rarely will SP Flashtool "mess it up" It seems to me that the firmware upgrade was interrupted or you just selected format only
Once you have formatted the phone you usually have to select all parts including the pre loader to flash your stock rom back to the phone. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS IN DOWNLOAD MODE first not Firmware Upgrade after it flashes the firmware you can then use the Firmware Upgrade option (Recommended) which will sort any messed up partitions
The NAND memory missing is normal and nothing to worry about

Well, the TWRP 2603 was on compiled for this phone, previously worked with no problem, after trying to restorea working ROM with SP Flash tools problems with Download of /android, /cache and /userdata appeared and the problem with format of /system, /cache and /data.
I tried with stock and Cubot one (as they are twins) and worked without problems. but the phone was working without problems for 7 days and the screen went off but could not start it anymore from sleep, then the rest of the problems appeared.

Well, first my mistake was to select Firmware upgrade and seems that the format messed the partition list.
After that I tried to flash (Download) stock rom (from geekbuying TS7 4 GB) and then Cubot one ROM and KVD K7 (without preloader, twin phones), but I can flash everything exccept the noted 3 partitions (seems like the layout has been lost).
I reinstalled the boot, recovery, etc. from the SP Flash but remained the problematic 3.
It came to my mind that peviously I enlarged /data partition (Meteos 2.5 Gb) and maybe that added to the problem (SP Flash tool shows that the device has 28 GB?!
Upper info 1 GB RAM+8192 Mb DRAM memory. I will attach screenshots.

It seem's to me that you have changed the PMT file in the ROM restore that you did and this is what broke your TWRP eg: System data cache may now be located in different partitions and twrp can no longer find them or tries to restore it to where it will no longer fit.
Some ports of TWRP are specific as to the dev block they write to eg: Example taken from a typical MTK Recovery: recovery/ rmdisk/ etc/recovery.fstab
Code:
# mount point fstype device [device2]
/boot emmc boot
/cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p4
/data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p5
/misc emmc misc
/recovery emmc recovery
/sdcard vfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /dev/block/mmcblk1
/system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p3
As you can see if you mess the PMT then you break the recovery too. If your recovery was built for a Tronsmart which is Not exactly the same phone as the cubot one BTW they are just similar and have Totally different ROM's and it would seem different PMT's too so you must be careful when flashing with SP Flashtool.
If you have a backup of your Tronsmart with MTK Droidtools or you could even unpack a TWRP backup you just need to find the tronsmart PMT file and restore it via SP Flashtool along with your stock rom and your twrp recovery.
To add the PMT file to the flash just edit the scatter file with notepad ++ from
Code:
__NODL_PMT 0x?00000
to
Code:
PMT 0x?00000
do not change the 0x000000 just leave it at whatever it is in your scatter. Save change and flash as firmware upgrade you should the be good to go

Thanks, but... I have a TWRP backup, list attached.
From which file in TWRP I could extract the PMT and insert according to your info, of course on PC (as the log states tar_append_tree(): done with tar_append_file()... I tried rename to tar.gr and tar but without success)?
I am also assured that the partition layout is a problem and these 3 cannot be flashed (but as I am somewhat new to MTK phones and still getting to know them) but I thought that the partition and latter format would be more simple.
Strange is that I can flash every recovery for it (CWM, TWRP,...) and it is fully functional in terms of load, mount (even emmc can be mounted and resized if EBR1/EBR2 is changed).
I tried installing TS7 8G ANDROID/CACHE/USERDATA version and the same from Cubot one, error is:S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) / [EMI] Enable DRAM Failed!
When I try to Download from stock rom the Progress bar stays at 0 % and always stops with message: S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (4008), while I can flash all other parts (except the 3 noted).

Hi,
My mistake I just searched a TWRP backup I have and it seems the PMT file is not backed up the PMT file lives in the same region as the boot.img and uboot so it would need a separate call the same way the boot.img is backed up.
So it's back to the drawing board
Options:
1, Get a Tronsmart PMT file from someone and flash the stock rom with the PMT included.
2, Get the ROM from the link I gave you.
Load it to SP Flashtool and hit firmware upgrade.
You may get a warning or error message something like "PMT has changed use download"
If so just use the download mode and after it's complete then do the same again but this time use the firmware upgrade and fingers crossed it should run without the error. I am kind of working from memory here so I am not 100% sure but I think maybe SP Flashtool rewrites the PMT File during this process.
If all goes well you should now be back to stock and have the correct partitions.
So now flash your twrp recovery and root with MTK DroidTools :fingers-crossed:
Then report back :good:
Edit just noticed your edit LOL
Select all parts I cant make out the image as too small for any detail.
Link for New Flashtool V5.14 Nice UI and a FAQ section which explains any faults/errors and how to solve

Great, thank you.
I think that acquiring PMT file for Tronsmart TS7 will be a little hard. :crying:
I've tried to experiment with EBR1/EBR2 as the previous partition layout had 2.65 Gb of data and 179 Mb on emmc and it seems that could be related, the message of layout change appeared but still couldn't flash these 3 partitions.
Any good souls with PMT to TS7 maybe?
Thank you in advance
As Cubot One, KVD K7 Blackview JK808 and TS7 are almost identical twins, could I use the one from Cubot one for example?

I will upload the stock cubot one EBR files. Please flash these along with the rest of the stock ROM via SP FlashTool. Edit the scatter file for the EBR files as described earlier for PMT file.
Fash all in Format + Download mode.
This should then resize your partitions back to stock and re-write the PMT then hopefully everything will be working. :fingers-crossed:
The EBR Files are named EBR1.txt & EBR2.txt for upload purpose just rename to EBR1 & EBR2 removing the .txt

Ok No problem it seems one or more of the .img files is too large for the partition it's trying to fit into.
Try flash just the EBR files only when completed.
Then try flash the stock rom again in Format + Download mode Use the v5.14 tool as I know this worked on a phone I had once which also had messed up partitions. :good:
Note: You must select all the boxes in the download including the preloader or you will not be able to fully change the partitions otherwise

Even tried twin ROMS (without preloader) for KVD K7, Cubot one official and HDC One M7, all the same.
Strange is that I can flash all of these preloaders and the result is always the same.

Thank you for the info.
But nothing.
I did according to instructions (additionally I tried to get support on 4PDA, thanks to Legiondark), I see the message PMT layout changed but cannot format and cannot download. Tried Download, Format, Firmware upgrade. I got even the PMT and EBR1/EBR2 from Legiondark, but...
USB detectable, when preloader is not flashed it shows MTK USB when I download Preloader on phone it shows Preloader USB VCOM, so it is detectable. I tried to use different ports and install/reinstall drivers.
Yesterday I could not format only android/cache/userdata and today only preloader can be flashed and sometimes the EBR1/2 and PMT files (message recevied at next iteration to user Format all-Download or Firmware upgrade but after trying I get the message F_ST_FORMAT FAIL).
As it was bought from China over internet it seems that it is time to smash it.

yup, frustrating...
the problem is that the preloader can be flashed (only from stock) and I have even tried from similar phones but it does not let to flash a wrong one. I can always flash the stock preloader again and again.
Phone is detectable (MTK USB/Preloader USB) and it reads the information (emmc, read back, test,..) but I cannot format it and I've tried using about 10 Sp flash version 3.x and 2 versions 5.x. :crying: I see that I haven't used the first 2 you added so will, the last (5.x version) I've used, always rund as admin and tried.
Tried to flash it also using 4PDA help (http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=500445&st=540), tried flashing "twin" roms: KVD K7, Cubot One, HDC One M7 (several roms) but all without success, it always hangs on format (never goes past 0%). USB port is OK, drivers on PC are OK (used usbdeview and uninstalled all and reinstalled), USB on phone is firm and not damaged, in short phone is like new,
Yesterday I tried using the testpoint method, found how to jump start it to detect without battery but I it seems that it started to charge the battery prior so that part is not needed.
Possible that the emmc flash got fried by itself? Can I test that somehow?

Hi bro,
It's really hard for guys like Legion Dark and myself to diagnose the problems when we do not have the phone in our hands I am kinda running out of ideas here
Normally these suggestions will work and it's really quite hard to brick these phones normally.
Most problems happen when a Kernel/boot.img not meant for your phone gets booted because the kernel can sometimes overwrite important files in the /dev area such as the pmt, ebr, mbr and many other files which are located there. SPFlashTools references files contained in there and if there is a file with info that conflicts with what it expects it will error so it could be something like the fstab file not match what the pmt file says.
Maybe you could try to flash just the stock boot.img then start the phone and leave it for a good while even if it does not fully boot it may rewrite some of the corrupted files :fingers-crossed:
After try to reflash the whole of ROM again and try in all different modes download only, format + download, Firmware Upgrade,
PS: Make sure you use the STOCK ROM I linked earlier 1gbx8gb tronsmart I think the legiondark PMT is modified to 4gb again this will confuse SPflashTool so
Stock ROM all parts selected flash with SPFlashTool.

Great, thank you for the all advices given.
I have a somewhat more than basic experience with ROMS, porting, linux and Qualcomm based phones (HTC, Huawei, Samsung,...) and I would not qualify myself as a novice but I must admin these MTKs are something new to me, also as it seems a lot of problems which seem unlogical to me so I am a little lost.
Strange to me is that the box says 4 Gb(it had 620 Mb system, cca 120 mb cache and 1,1 Gb of /data with emmc of approx. 2 Gb) and I see that you note that I should use 8 Gb and not 4 GB PMT and scatter (and of course ROM), more strange is that the SP FLash tool sees it as a 8192 Mb device.
I have tried the 8 Gb stock now and I can't flash the preloader (only 4 Gb Stock is OK) nor and other parts of it: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) and if I am not mistaken that is an error for the wrong ROM flash?!

Hi bro,
I did not realise that Tronsmart did an MT6589 4gb and 8gb version but it seem's they do :silly:
They also do a MT6582 4gb version just to confuse things further
Well now I am really confused as all but the newest Cubot One's are MT6589 1gb + 8gb
Did all the problems started when you flashed the ColorOSROM
Was the ColorOS ROM for a Cubot One or Tronsmart and If I it was for Tronsmart was it for 8gb or your 4gb version
I have ported the stock ColorOS for my own phone and I can say that the ColorOS makes quite a lot of entries on kernel init.rc It also shuffled things around so you don't need to partition things manually
What I am trying to say is that if the ColorOS zip contained a heavily modified Kernel Which it would need for ColorOS to work properly and it's not for your exact phone then this maybe the cause of the problems and the reason I never shared my Port of ColorOS as I would of had to manually edited all the different Kernels be be sure they all worked example MT6589 1200mhz 1500mhz and 1500mhz "T" version all slightly different and if they become mixed up then you start getting bugs such as screen not waking up no wifi connection camera issues etc etc :crying:

My 9300+ (chinese mtk6577) is dead... I have to updated wrong firmware and my phone will don't turn ON again, when I use the SP Flash Tool appears the message: "Firmware Upgrade could not be executed without PMT. Please "Download" ONLY first to create PMT on the target!
My internal partition is corrupted and i can't create PMT because my phone don't Turn On, but my USB is recognized by windows.
Please Help Me.

I know this is an old post, but this may help someone. (would have me a month ago)
Hopefully if your USB is seen in Windows you can convince SP Flash Tool to spew/download/write data to your phone while it's in Meta Mode.
I believe the PMT block is created by SP Flash Tool dynamically from scatter file. It's comparing the scatter file with what is sitting at the PMT address on the flash. If these two mismatch, you get the error you mentioned. If you want to force a new PMT that matches your scatter file's layout, you have to do a "Format" in SP Flash Tool. This will get you back to a PMT on flash that matches your scatter file, then SP Flash Tool will be happy and allow you to use Download (write to flash).
What is a PMT? A partition table that holds the addresses to all the other partitions.

PMT Corrupted & Format-all done
I faced the same error.......my PMT got corrupted (possibly due to an earlier attempt to re-size (system / data) partition using Swiftbootloader)...... & un-fortunately, I clicked on Format in SP Flash Tool as well.
Now all is gone.... phone doesn't switch on.........
Please guide...... to bring the bricked handset (Spice Mi-350n) to life again. I have backups..... but that relate to different scatter file (PMT) perhaps........ do I need to search & learn webos & acmeinstaller kind of things now?

The best way to restore your phone was already answered in the previous post, that is to FORMAT your device and subsequently flash the official firmware.

Hi iZLeeP
Thanks for the quick reply. I dont have any official rom. The only backup i have is using the CWM backup of the official rom before applying a custom LG rom. If it is possible, how can i utilize the CWM backup of the official rom to revert back please ? I can see boot.img and recovery.img files in cwm backup; can i utilize them somehow to revert back ? Please help. Thanks.

Let me remind people, the first order of business must be to have a full firmware backup from the phone manufacturer or thru MTK Droid Root & Tools. Reading that you tried to resize your system & data partition, your cwm backup should not be affected by it. Try restoring to default the partition sizes using the app/script you used to resize. It should have that function. Then flash custom recovery and root and see if it works.
phone booting to main-screen or not?
hi HNaseer....
As replied by @syserr & @iZLeeP .............you can try to "Format-All / Format-All except bootloader" type of thing PROVIDED THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETE BACKUP OF RELEVANT PARTITIONS (till Cache and / or till FAT partition length) using SP Flash Tool........ & MTK Droid Tool......... PLUS, YOU WILL NEED IMEI BACKUP (IMEI No.) in such case if you want to restore.
SP Flash Tool needs Scatter File......... (obtainable thru MTK Droid Tool) & can help in backup of various partitions even if phone not turning on. BUT IMEI backup would be good........ IF YOU ARE ABLE TO BOOT / reach main screen after boot animation.
Rest of the details can be first read / understood from my MT6589 chipset type handset link from @Atrvscet : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2514419
Or, better search exact thread on xda / elsewhere to get stock / custom rom & flashing etc.
Lastly, if you are able to boot in recovery, best thing should be to flash / force flash original cwm backup from recovery.

HNaseer.... I agree with everything spandrd just said. I'd like to stress though, getting a backup of your NVRAM partition is much better than having MTKDT copy your /data/nvram. So if you have a choice, backup the NVRAM partition with SPFT or if MTKDT has that option use it. (I've rarely used MTKDT as I found aspects confusing)
Incredible.

Not sure what you are expecting to do with a FORMAT. If you had a good backup of your NVRAM partition, then what you would need is a SCATTER file and ROM files, you could FORMAT then DOWNLOAD the ROM files and your NVRAM file to your device with SPFT. But since you don't have your NVRAM partition, you don't have an easy path. FYI, I don't know new devices... there could be more complication than MT6577/75.

Try google, or search xda, or needrom.com...
This may or may not help you. If I were you I would use SPFT right now to try to backup your NVRAM partition if it's not too late. Your FORMAT may have wiped the NVRAM partition already. If it has wiped it, your only good path is to find someone willing to give you their NVRAM partition. Then somehow insert your own IMEI and WIFI MAC in and pray.

Bricked Alcatel Pop C1 4015X (Mediatek MT6572)

Hey all.
Easy question I hope! I've been following the guide to unbrick MTK devices, and have managed to get an original factory ROM to flash to the phone, green tick in SP Flash Tools. However, the phone still won't power on at all, save for the light if plugged into usb.
The ROM I've been using is an original factory rom named "ONE-TOUCH-4015X_POP_C1_FULL_STOCK_BACKUP" which is readily available online. I'm not sure what I did to brick it in the first place, but it was within SP flashtool. I May have formatted accidentally.
If someone coudl help I'll try to provide all logs or files requested but please tell me where these could be found as I'm not that good with flash tool.
To confirm the phone won't boot into any mode, recovery is dead, fastboot is dead....
same problem hope somone help us
also share ur backup please

Hello!
This thread is quite old but near my case.
I have an Alcatel Pop C1 4015X (cpu MTK6572M) that can't start at all (only the power LED is ON).
I have a backup of this device made with "SP Flash Tool V5.1532.00" but I've error "not enough space" when
I try to restore it.
Same error when I try to restore just one file.
For example, I've tried to restore only the "Stock Recovery" you give above.
I do this:
- I start Flash_Tool v5.1532.00
- I open scatter file from my backup done with the same tool
- I unselect all pieces of the backup except "Recovery" and I browse to the "Stock Recovery" file I've dl
from this thread.
I've got this error : "not enough storage space (1011)"
What could be the problem ?
I makes me totally crazy !
By advance, thanks for your help.

Freeman.

What i did was i used SPFT to flash a backup i found online. Can't post links, just google "ot 4015X Original SPFT ROM", what i used was the algerian rom. Then i flashed the EE stock rom. My own backup didn't flash back correctly either, that's why i used that one i fould online.
4015X unbricked !
Hello,
I found a similar solution here (replace * with . to get a correct http link):
forum*gsmhosting*com/vbb/f317/ot-4015x-firmware-arabic-bulgaria-africa-kenya-1946694/index2.html
It took me hours to find good stock ROMs (bulgarian & arabian then french via OTU) !
You'll have to "play" with pro_info and scatter file...
Good luck to all to unbrick your 4015x !

[TWRP][RECOVERY] Asus ZenPad 8.0 Z380M (locked bootloader ok)

This is for real, folks. The first working custom recovery for Asus ZenPad 8.0 Z380M and a method to flash it under a locked bootloader. This took quite a bit of work to make, partly due to having to find a way to bypass the locked bootloader. And because of a kernel configuration issue that limited the size of the initial ramdisk, which took some serious effort to weed out. @lss1977 helped to port it to this device. And of course, credits to TeamWin for TWRP.
In addition to this thread, the current Z300M/Z301M TWRP thread and the the old Z300M recovery/rooting thread may be helpful. These models share the same hardware and software base, so most things that apply to one tablet also apply to the other.
DISCLAIMER
As usual, you do anything described in this post at your own risk. No one but you is responsible for any data loss, bricking or damage of your device.
REQUIREMENTS
Windows PC
SP Flash Tool version 5.1532 (only this version will bypass security checks)*
MediaTek VCOM drivers (available through Windows Update)
Z380M scatter file, attached
Recovery image, attached
Z380M preloader file (optional), available inside the stock firmware download
ZenPad Z380M tablet upgraded to Android N
* If you prefer to use a more recent SP Flash Tool, check out the special image file below.
This won't be a guide on how to use SP Flash Tool. There are plenty of good guides out there like this one on how to set up drivers, load scatter files, flash and make backups with SP Flash Tool. If you're not familiar with this software or how to flash MediaTek devices in general, please do your research before attempting this. I will just get straight to the specifics about the ZenPad 8.
FIRST TIME INSTALLATION
For a locked bootloader:
At this point you should have your tablet powered off, the drivers installed, all of your data backed up, and SP Flash Tool v5.1532's Download tab open and loaded with the tablet's scatter file. Open the download agent file DA_PL.bin, replacing the default MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin. (You can use the AllInOne DA if you want, but the procedure involves extra steps as described below.) Load the extracted TWRP recovery image (twrp-3.2.1-0-z380m.img) under the recovery partition line in the partition table. Click the Download button inside SPFT. Now just connect the USB cable to your tablet and your computer's USB port. It should start the download process automatically and disconnect when finished.
Alternative Method:
If you're using MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin, you have to hold the Volume Up key as you insert the cable, which puts the device into an emergency download mode. In addition, you will need to have the stock preloader*.bin file loaded inside SPFT for it to be able to communicate with your tablet. The preloader is available inside the official zip file download. Do not flash the preloader (untick the box) or any partitions other than recovery. You just need to have a valid bin file selected under the Preloader line.
For an unlocked bootloader:
If you have used the Asus unlock tool to unlock your device, you will still not be able to use fastboot flash to install a custom recovery. However, you can do a "hot boot" or a tethered boot of TWRP. This method doesn't require SP Flash Tool. Download the TWRP image, put your tablet in fastboot mode and connect to PC. Then run this command to boot TWRP dynamically:
fastboot boot twrp-3.2.1-0-z380m.img
Once inside TWRP, flash twrp-3.2.1-0-z380m.img to Recovery using Install -> Install Image. Then reboot to recovery. You may be able to use TWRP in the tethered boot mode, but that could result in glitches due to different parameters passed by the bootloader to the kernel. That's why flashing is recommended.
To update from your installed TWRP version to a new one, just transfer the image to your tablet, then boot to TWRP and install it by going to Install -> Install Image and flashing to Recovery.
START RECOVERY
With the tablet powered off, hold the Volume Up and Power keys together until you get to a menu where you can select "recovery". Use Vol. Up to scroll and Vol. Dn to select. If you have a locked bootloader, it will show a Yellow State message because the recovery is not signed by the OEM. Just press volume up to boot it. On the welcome screen of TWRP it will ask you about modifying the system partition, I suggest you go with Keep System Read-only. Doing otherwise will complicate your OTA updates.
WARNING: Never start the stock recovery from the bootloader menu on this device. It is programmed by the bootloader to instantly wipe your data without any warning. Also, be aware that Android installs the stock recovery at every normal boot cycle. So you either have to flash the TWRP every time you want to run it, or disable the automatic recovery installation in the stock firmware. Any kind of mod to the boot image will prevent the automatic recovery installation. If you're not sure which recovery you have installed, you can always do a 'adb reboot recovery' from Android without risk of data loss.
What works: Basically everything... access to major partitions, decrypted userdata partition, decrypted adoptable storage, external SD card, ADB, USB-OTG, touch interface, splash screen, installing stock Asus OTA/web FW updates
What doesn't work: (no known problems yet, but please report any)
Not guaranteed to work: factory reset

The way I did it was to edit the init.rc file inside the boot ramdisk and comment out the service block that calls install_recovery.sh. I used the MTK boot image unpack/repack tools. I don't know, it seems like changing anything on the system partition will break OTA updates because of dm-verity. Because that depends on verifying each block of the file system. I have never even mounted the system as R/W in recovery.

OK, I added the scatter file as a download. It was a pain in the ass to copy & paste. (But it did work.)
Problem fixed downloaded new version of flashtool 5.16 and scatter working
Ok I installed TWRP on Z380M P00A, and wanna say to other
1. Use VCOM drivers only from splash tool official site
2. To install VCOM drivers first need enter chinese recovery tablet, then in windows device manager you see USB device, install manualy drivers (don forget in windows disable driver signature)
3. Use only SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1532.00, newer or older version not properly working with this phone
Ok, thanks for the update, PxYra. Just to let you know, there are signed versions of VCOM drivers floating around so you don't need to mess with signature enforcement. Here's one: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424943663. They are also updated by Windows so you can just let Windows Update install them.
Thanks for your work.

Hey freisei...
I never posted a version for Android 6. There was just one based on the 5.3.6 kernel, practically the same as the current one. That's why I didn't keep it. I could try to build one for you if you want, but I can't test it of course. Does this recovery not boot at all on the old firmware?
It's strange that the DA_PL.bin method didn't work for you. What happened when you tried it? I suppose the old preloader doesn't allow it(?).

Your ZenPad didn't brick because you deleted install_recovery.sh. It's because you modified the system partition. Making any mods to system is bad advice unless you know exactly what you're doing. Even mounting it in r/w mode can break it. That's because dm-verity has tripped and is blocking access to changed blocks of the file system. So you have 3 options: mod your boot image fstab file to disable dm-verity, restore the original system image block-for-block (either from backup or official firmware converted to an img file), or wipe userdata (lss reported that to work).

Ok. I made some real s*it, I think I deleted every partition except recovery. Can you provide me a twrp backup or some way around my problem?
What do you mean you deleted every partition except recovery? There's like 28 partitions. You would have to work hard to accomplish that.
My first suggestion is to extract a system.img from the Asus stock firmware zip using this. Then flash it with SP Flash Tool. You might also try to install a full firmware zip from TWRP. Although I have no idea if that will work or if it's even safe to try.

i was able to extract system.new.dat from stock firmware zip, but it extracts to a system folder. How do I flash this through sp flash tool?
OK, the system folder you don't need. It should have produced a system.img file also. That's the file you need to flash. Just select it for the system partition row in the partition list and then Download. Hopefully that will be enough.
EDIT: I just looked at the script, and realized the system.img.img file gets deleted in the process. So what you need to do is start the extraction, then after it makes system.img.img, when it starts extracting individual files, hit Ctrl+C. Then you'll end up with the img file.
Thank you very much! it works! YOU are the BEST!
please tell me, in your scatter file, address partition_name: frp (0x80a5000) is correct? if i format this partition (frp), google account remove?

Need help!! i accidentally removed the internal storage partition.

My device is YU YU4711 , rooted, then I flashed TWRP via fastboot, then using TWRP I backed up the stock ROM , and then flashed RR ROM (7.1.2), it was working fine , but then I thought of flashing RR ROM (6.0) , In the process to do so I couldn't erase the system to flash new ROM (failed to mount system) , so I was on TWRP and I accidentally changed my partition format and since then I have no ROM installed , no internal storage partition , I have TWRP and it shows internal storage (0 mb), I have checked other threads too but found no solution . please please help me .
I'll soon post snaps of the TWRP , and let me know if you need any other information

Hello...!
Try googling "YU YU4711 stock rom". There seem to be enough answers there to your problem.
Most likely you will need:
1. stock firmware
2. Qualcomm USB Driver
3. YU USB Driver
4. Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL)
Take a look here also!!! https://forum.xda-developers.com/yu-yunique/development/guide-flashing-stock-rom-yu-yunique-t3219897

Thanks for the quick reply , I will download these files asap and flash the firmware , A question , does flashing the stock firmware fixes the partition problem , there are no /internal storage or /data partitions to be mounted .
I had this problem before , it's so simple , learn how to use the ADB SIDE LOAD method so u can push the ROM into the phone storage from PC.

To my knowledge, flashing using the QFIL method (and using correct stock firmware) almost completely wipes and repartitions the device to the new (stock firmware). (the correct flashing software is QFIL since your device's processor belongs to the Qualcomm famiy)
You will see pretty soon, if you get on with is, that a scatter file is required for completing the flashing process. If you take a look at the file with a text editor, you might get a better idea of how you device will be partitioned (most likely from scratch).
Look a little bit more around, just to get a better idea on how to use QFIL. There are options on the software to force format/ wipe if nothing else works, or there is also the option to either download or upgrade. You will see once you get the program running.
My concern is that you don't just rush to flash the firmware. Try to understand the process as much as you can, and then give it a go!

I am not sure if you really need to have enabled usb debugging for this particular method to work. Perhaps more experienced members can chip in here??? Heeeelp!!!!
Still there are a couple of things you can try, provided that you have correctly installed the drivers to enable at least some communication between your phone and the computer.
1. Try just connecting the phone to computer (powered off) after having pressed the download button in QFIL.
2. Try holding the volume up button and connecting the phone to PC (powered off phone) after having pressed the download button in QFIL.
3. Try holding the volume down button and connecting the phone to PC (powered off phone) after having pressed the download button in QFIL.
For all of the above, it would really help if the battery was out of your device (if it is removable).
I really do hope that you will get a chance to revive your device... For the time being, I am out of ideas myself... I wish you the best!

Unbrick Oppo A91 CPH2021. Need oppo_custom file.

I accidentally used SP Flash Tool "Format All" option when trying to flash a firmware.
After that, I was able to boot the phone but got stuck at the android logo with the error 0x99256658.
According to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/crash-phone-realme-8-need-image-oppo_custom.4402181/ ,
I know that the problem is caused by missing oppo_custom file.
I then used mtkclient to flash multiple different oppo_custom files on the internet (around 15 files).
Some of them boot the phone to the welcome screen but the phone touch does not work (even in recovery mode).
Does anyone have a dump of this oppo_custom file for this phone or even better, a full dump of this phone? I need the file to restore the phone touch
Thanks in advance.

I did read that post. However, there is another post on the exact phone model and the same problem as mine on that same forum https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-42497.html. The guy got the phone to work. I contacted him but no responses.
I tried 3 different oppo_custom from realme6 and 6i. Got the phone to boot but the touch does not work.
There is also a commercial tool (Unlock Tool) to solve this problem.
So my last hope without the tool is to try a dump from a same device.
I took a full EMMC dump of Oppo F15 phone (similar in specs to A91), extracted the oppo_custom file and flashed it back to the A91 and it works. The content of the extracted oppo_custom file is different from previous files that I used, it has more content instead of zeros block. Below is the file for anyone that faces the same trouble as mine.
hey bro can u pls give me the full backup of your emmc pls
