just vist this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1409269
(if you are on ics 4.0.4,then flash ics 4.0.3 kernel root it and flash back ics 4.0.4 kernel)
are you on stock GB or Stock ICS ?
tnx...but my phone has android 2.3.4 build 62...
Then just flash or hotboot kernel with cwm, boot into cwm and flash superuser.zip , google for zip or go to my thread in general section, on how to root 4.0.4.

No need to DOWNGRADE
No need to ROOT
All the four custom kernels you mentioned above are pre-rooted with pre-installed CWM
Just flash them!

My Problem isn't in rooting or downgrading
I just want to know whether custom kernel will make me gain root with out the need to push stuff like SuperUser and BusyBox to phone
Thanks Buddy:good:
As For Downgrading it's not Needed to downgrade the hole rom
just flash an older stock kernel ,root it then flash the default kernel
see Sony forums

i'm actually on ics 4.0.4 lqb without root ,but i want to root now and i'm a little bit scared to do so because i read this version has some problem, what should I do?is a downgrade complementary?
thanks in advance

no downgrade is not a complementary, u can dwnld the .tar file of the latest siyah kernel v4.1.2( not the .zip file) and flash the same using ODIN. after that u can use the new CWM recovery of siyah to install any custom rom of ur choice, since siyah kernel is brick bug free
i don't have root permission now,can i flash siyah anyway?if yes,after that,how to obtain root?

Auto Root
I think you should find and flash a kernel with auto root in it's features.
This can help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1829729

Didn't you read my reply above friend ?
Check it, that's the only procedure on locked bootloader
You know how to flash only kernels outta a firmware ?
If not then check the screenshot attached. Mark the same in flashtool
You can get the 6.1.1.B.1.10 firmware from here talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239
And .54 you already have

Yes, but do not flash the whole firmware.
Just flash the kernel, I uploaded an attachment in my reply above that tells you how to flash kernel only.
So fash .10 kernel
root using bin4ry
flash .54 kernel
easy
where can i find the .54 firmware?

Now I'm on version 6.1.1.B.1.54 and successfully Unlock Bootloader, but why i cannot root my phone?

You can flash custom pre-rooted kernel compatible with your FW version, or you will have to fimd the right method to root your FW versions.
Not all versions/kernels can be rooted, sometimes another kernel have to be flashed to do the rooting then you can flash original kernel again.
