how do i backup my all apps to sd card??? - Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm going to restore my phone, I don't wanna lose my apps. is there any way to do this???

Carbon/Helium, or TB, if you've got root.
Dead Cookies leave no trails...

Try Super Backup or Android Assistant if your phone is not rooted....

as far as I know all the installed apps go to /data/app/ and u need root access

* Use Titanium Backup ★ root

* Use App Backup & Restore
And change PATH to SDCARD

Any good backup software

Is there any good backup software that will create like an image of the phone as is, software installed, ringtones used etc that can be used if you ever have to hard reset your phone ??
I use MyBackup Pro (get it from ppcware*) - it can backup your apps, phone settings (including APN's) and so on...

[Q] Ok I have perma root but...

i forgot to perma temp root and backup all of my apks and apk data. My question is, what is the best way to restore my stock backup and backup my apks and data? or is this possible?
Unless you made a nandroid of your previous ROM you can't go back. If you had "Backup My Settings" checked in Settings>Privacy, your apps usually restore automatically, but not the data. I've always used TitaniumBackup to backup and restore my apps and data, but there are other apps out there.

This makes no sense.
If you are S-OFF, all you have to do is flash the superuser app after you restore your stock backup to get root back.
That's what I was getting at if I have root I can back up all my stock app data

I have all my apps backed using TI (rooted) and now I am getting a new atrix but I do not want to root again so how can I get TI to restore my apps? If no are there market apps that dose not require root that will install my apps from sd card with the data?

Not that I know of. You can restore the apps but its the data that becomes difficult hit/or miss without rooting. I'd try mybackup pro...

[Q] [Help] Titanium backup

Hey guys i'm running a custom rom and want to update it.
But it has included a automatic clear data.
So I want to back-up all my apps+data , i also want to keep my contacts etc
I have now tb pro. But i don't know which one i need to choose i also don't know how to restore it after i installed the new rom.
After installing new rom tb pro is also gone right?
Can you guys please help me ?
Use batch backup to backup all user apps + system data. Also you'll need the tb apk for re installing after flashing

Indeed, just click on 'Back up' to back up your apps and their data, but only on your own user apps, never system apps. After flashing, install TB from the Play Store and click 'Restore'.

There is no need to backup your contacts, they are automatically backed up by your google account. As soon as you sign in on your new rom it will sync your contacts for you.
If you want to backup your apps you should just use the batch icon in top right and then choose the section for backup of user apps and it will backup your apps and appdata.
On your new simply re-install TB and then use restore option. If it doesnt find your backup location/show backups in batch you will need to go to preferences and choose backup folder location again.
To do all this silently (not click install on each app) you will need to be rooted and have pro version.
PS. This is not a galaxy s2 topic. These types of topics belong in the general/android section as its not device specific.

backup & restore
...there are several ways to do that..
apps
- through tb..normal backup->restore..update.zip...your choice..
- or any other b&r app
contacts
- sync via google
- import/export trough app (.vcf vcard)
- through tb..backup&restore Contacts data then reboot
[Kontakte 4.1.2-eng.root...]
& optional , cause i don´t know atm if needed..[Kontakte-Speicher 4.1.2-eng.root...]
cwm-backup to be save
yes..at the new rom you will have to install tb first in order to use it.
dowload the apk from authors website to your external sdcard
.u could do.
dowload titanium-backup-apk to your phone..
sync your contacts with google..batch-backup all inc sys apps+data..
make a cwm-backup..copy cwm & titanium backup folders to a safe place..
do your rom-update
do the appropriate settings and install tb..restore what you need and have fun :victory:
Or if you've bought titanium backup you could restore it from store after installation
