So first, I got on sprint and did a 1 year contract with my grandma and she chose an iPhone 5c. And I obviously chose this phone. But my problem is I rooted my phone and flashed slimkat. 4.4.3 and basically any ROM I try I can't get 4G. But my grandmas iPhone get 4G 3bars and I can hardly get 4G no bars. My baseband ends in NAB. Any help?
I'm new to this sprint and note 3 stuff.

I also have terrible reception whether I enable data or not. Always 1 bar. Is there a update for baseband or something to fix this like my galaxy nexus had?

Flash the stock NC5 tar file in the development forum, then hunt for a TouchWiz based NC5 rom that seems fitting to your needs.
That should correct your issues.
If you'd like some specific guidance, just let us know.
Good luck!

Anyone having 4g issues on MDK build? Running CleanROM if I recall right. I'm talking like 2 bars max everywhere I go and I live in a really strong 4g area.
Would the ME7 radios solve this or should I replace it?
Phone also gets warm after a minutes of use.

Lol because I'm addicted to having the Latest & Greatest... and I just never really feel right unless I've run the official build for a week or two.. (Even though CM11 is my favorite ROM)

And i thought Flash Support stopped at Jellybean anyway... (I may be wrong but that's what I thought) because if im not mistaken on my S3 you had to get it from elsewhere (not in the playstore) to have it

Sprint is testing it already and the international S4 is about to get its first leak (Tweet 1, Tweet 2) so I bet it won't take too long.

You could side load it and it will work still but not on kit kat. The flash fix for dolphin is the only thing I've seen and I just found out about that. The bean works great for me so I'm in no rush for the kk update.
If you want Flash just use the FlashFox browser. It works fine for me
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.browser.flashfox
It won't work with the regular flash apk on kk. Anything lower, then yes.
I don't want them to necessarily hurry, just want them to do it right. I'd wait an extra week if it meant less buggy.

I'm running the latest Nightly for my SM-N900P. But a official 4.4 build even with TouchWiz UX Nature? Still not bad.
Seems like google going crapple way. With each update they are getting so tight with devs. I thought google beleive in open source

Don't know how you define "many", but 10+ roms, plus official Cyanogen... Some great devs here... I think we're doing just fine.

Just got this MDK S4 so I need a little help from the pros here..
I don't see anywhere where I can select my APN and I can't get 4G at all. I've flashed the mk2 modem and here is what my settings look like...
I'm on AOKP 4.4 and I've flashed a couple other roms like Beanstalk and Slim and it's the same thing.
I'm sure I'm just over looking something.

Not sure if this is even rom related. I threw my sim card from my old s4 into this one. Everything seemed to work off the jump but maybe I have to call Verizon? I'm back on stock MDK now and still no 4g even after getting into apn settings and verifying everything. Not really sure.

Yea I just was jumping the gun cuz I thought I had it all going and working normally prior to flashing. But now that I think of it maybe I was wrong. My fault. I'll get another cup of coffee and get this brain thinking correctly.

Well I forgot that this phone connected up to my wifi at the house and I wasnt on 4g/lte
I was pre occupied with fixing this thing. When I got it it had both TWRP and CWM installed and it was screwing things up big time. Phone was bootlooping etc.. Just not acting normal. Did a full wipe.. Then I wasc teaching myself how to root MDK and Loki and new throw TWRP back on. Anyways I didn't notice that itv actually never said connected to 4g. Dumb mistake on my part.

Plus it all works perfectly except all I get is 3g so just an oversight on my part

The lady I spoke with at Verizon said I should have good just to pop my sim into this one and go. . However sometimes it doesn't take all the way and you need to call. Figure going from one s4 to another would be easy but she said because they are the same exact phone pretty much that it may have screwed up the id numbers more easily. Hey you got me. Course now I have to wait until I'm home and have both phones powered off and on front of me. Suppose I was too eager to fire this one up and get my aosp on .
Hey thanks for checking in though. .. pretty silly mistake on my part but I'm human what can I do
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well not that this really should have been a thread in the first place but...
A new sim card fixed the issue. They said that sometimes for no reason at all you'll need a new one when switching between phones.

Just found out today that Tmobile has diagnostic software @ technical support and they can tell whether or not your device has been rooted. They can also see what software you have installed, settings, etc.

That and in the tmobile my account you have to disable the "device check" feature.
Be sure to turn it off after visiting them. They turn it on sometimes. Happened to my cousin and buddy

Since you work for tmobile, it would be nice to get a definitive answer to this. Do they check knox when you trade the phone in for a jump upgrade?

I just picked up the S4 a few weeks back to replace my S3. First thing I noticed was that my service isn't as good. I drop calls a lot and my calls almost always sound like I have poor signal. My s3 wasn't bad. I had no issues talking at home on the s3 but I can not make a call from my house with the s4. This thing has gotten me to hate to have to call anyone.
Is there anything I can do to get better signal?

Redid firmware with kies and I just set it back up. Still dropped my call here at my house. My s3 never did. Oh well it was worth a shot
Well I ordered a Samsung S5 and that has taken care of my signal issues. I can now make calls from my house with no issues. Nice to have a working phone again
