as far as i know, if your phone is bootloop
the easiest thing to do is re-flashing it using flashtool.
coz u cant enter ur phone memory except the phone can be usable.
but, if the bootloop because the incompatible kernel/custom rom, try to install another kernel/cusrom. thats what i try on my phone
sorry for my bad english !
If you have clockwork recovery and did a backup of you phone while it was stable, restore it. If you don't, I advice you to start making backups before doing crazy stuff, you can access clockwork recovery by pressing the volume up key.
Assuming that you didn't do a backup, get flashtool, select the option to flash firmware, remove and reinsert the battery press the volume down key and connect it to the computer, it should be on flash mode and you should be able to flash a new rom.

Xperia S stuck in CWM loop

I hope this is in the right section, don't know as I am new to XDA.
But I have a real issue. Here goes.
I recently updated my Xperia S to ICS. And I thought I want to root it.
So I went ahead and started, but when I should have placed a zip file on my internal memory, I extracted the files there instead.
So no, on CWM, when I am supposed to install from .zip file, I can't, since I do not have .zip file there.
I have tried almost all of the options on CWM on the phone, nothing works and I just get back to the start.
So my question is, how do I get out of the loop?
Is there any way I can access my phones files? So I maybe can put the SuperSU .zip file in the directory?
I can boot the phone in fastboot mode, but then it doesn't show on the computer.
Or maybe I can just reverse everything? An easy way, because I am not the best when it comes to this. I have found some solutions, but they ALL require that you put files on your SD card. Only problem is that my phone doesn't have SD card, only internal memory. ANd I can't access that right now.
Please help
Download Flashtools from http://androxyde.github.com/
Download a stock ftf rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599303
Put the downloaded rom in the flashtool/firmwares/ folder, then go to flashtool/drivers/ folder and run Flashtool-drivers.exe, when that has finished restart your computer.
Turn phone off, now press and hold the volume down button and connect the phone to your computer with the usb cable, when you get a green led you can let go, you are now in flash mode.
Start up flashtool, or flashtool64 if your on an x64 system, click the thunderbolt icon in the top left corner, select flashmode and click ok, in the left hand window select the rom you downloaded and then click ok in the bottom right corner.

Is your Bootloader unlocked?
Hello, I'm having the same problem too, but I wonder how do I "turn off" the device, since I keep pressing the top button to do this and it reboots and goes into CWM mode? Will I have to remove the battery?
Good news. Luckily I managed turn off the device. In the CWM main menu, keep the cursor positioned over the option that resets the device. Hold down the power button and immediately after, press the volume up and hold. Wait until the device vibrates 3 times. Now ready you run the procedure to connect in download mode and reinstall your firmware.
You guys must have used cmd to flash nozomi-recovery.img?
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, exactly. I used recovery-nozomi.img with CWM version 5.5.0.4 ... but I made a mistake in not installing SuperSU.

That's why I hate nozomi - recovery.img!
Nothing to worry... Happened to me too.
Use flashtool to reflash entire ftf(if you have ulbl) else use SEUS to repair (if you have lbl, I hate pcc!).
If lbl.... Then ulbl.
Use cmd to flash a custom kernel(don't use doom kernel its for gb).
Finished....
Thank... If helpful

hmm
Had a similar problem.. FIxed it with a lot of reading but now dnt remeber anymore :/
I'm having this problem too...
Almost everything is ready for flashing now, except the phone is not really turning off, even after 3 vibrates when holding down power and volume up... It turns off, but coming back in flash process!
That's how far I can go: It turns off, I hold down volume down, connect it to PC, have a green light. Flashtool see the phone, I push Flash button,Program gives "Device connected in flash mode" message, then "Selected Xperia s (LT26i)_WORLD_6,1,A,2,50_IT.flf" message, "Preparing files for flashing" message and "Device disconnected" message, because this stupid Recovery back on my screen again...
If I just can find the way to turn off my phone, so it's not come back to live when connected to PC...

SOLVED!
I manage to fix it!
Just wait for Flashtool to give error message (with phone picture and USB cable in it) and ask to reconnect device. Unplug device, press power button and volume up button until vibrate 3 times. Push volume down and plug usb cable, to get green light. Flashtool continue process from where it was broken.
Error message popped up not from first try, so hopefully this will be helpful to somebody...
Sorry for my english...

boot loop - is this normal?

Hi, i just unlocked the bootloader on my Sony Xperia S, installed ClockworkMod recovery and now I am getting a boot loop. I cant turn off the phone, it only gives me an option to reboot CWM.
(I am currently downloading CM9 to flash it). It says on the tutorial to transfer the zip files to the SD card of my phone, But how can I do that, I cant access the internal storage of my phone using a USB cord. The PC cannot detect the phone.)
I need your help badly! I dont want to brick my phone! Thanks!

[Q] Transformer prime stuck in bootloop. Not rooted. Bootloader not unlocked. help!

I tried turning on my Asus TF201 transformer prime the other day and now it is perpetually stuck in a bootloop.
I am able to access the menu with recovery, fastboot etc, by holding down VOL- and PWR. I tried doing a data wipe from this menu but it did not solve the problem.
I have not rooted or unlocked the bootloader! Do I have any options from here to try and get this thing working again? Should I just RMA it back to Asus? It is not longer covered by warranty.
While browsing the forums I found several threads similar, but it most of those situations the users had already unlocked their bootloader/rooted.
As far as I know the tablet was up to date with the latest stock firmware/OS from Asus. I know I am a noob, is there something simple I am missing?
Any help you can provide is very much appreciated! Thank you so much for your help!!!!
Can u enter bootloader? If u can then u can easily restore to factory settings and u will be ok though u will lose all your data and apps though can be restored easily from play store by syncing.

By bootloader do you mean the menu you get when you hold down VOL- and PWR (it give you 4 options - recovery, boot, fastboot, and wipe data)? If this is the same thing then yes I can access that. I already tried the wipe data option which did not seem to fix it. Is this what you mean by restore factory settings?
Thanks again for your help!

Try using the instructions at the top of this thread --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230779
--
Download latest firmware from Asus site.
Unzip this file once - it contains a zip inside it. Rename this zip to EP201_SDUPDATE.ZIP
Copy the file to the root of a FAT32 formatted MicroSD card
Turn the tablet off via the power button.
Now turn it on holding down the Volume Down button on the tablet
In a minute you will be in the recovery screen. Hit volume up.
Wait for it to get done. It can take a while.

[Q] Nabi 2 bricked

Hi, I've acquired a NABI 2 to try and repair off a friend but its proving difficult to say the least. I know he was doing something with the firmware but beyond that im not sure.
The current state its in is this: It doesnt power on by pressing the power button. If you enter the recovery menu (VOL +, VOL- and power) the recovery menu displays in the top left with the nabi logo in the centre of the screen. The menu cannot be navigated, either its froze or its unresponsive. If i connect it by usb when in the recovery menu the PC detects it as a MTP USB Device but it fails to install the drivers.
Really i just want this back to factory standard, is their anyway to put this back in working order? I've not a whole lot of android experience so please, treat me as a noob with step by step instructions.
Any help appreciated
Update
As is often the case new things happened after i posted, i can now access the recovery menu. This happened when i tried to instal the stock 2.0.5 from SD card

I'm short on time this Christmas Eve but the general idea is this if it's a US Nabi2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51037177&postcount=21
EXCEPT use the files from here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54871957&postcount=2342
instead of the ones it says to download in the first post I link, use the files from the second post I linked(Nabi 246 files, JB bootloader). It will work but the only trick is which TWRP to start with ICS ot JB. You may have to try one and then the other. After that the procedure should get everything running again.
Ok, i managed to get TWRP working again but its unable to install anything, whenever i try it just shows as in the screenshot. Any further advice?

It's the wrong TWRP, if you used ICS TWRP use JB or vice versa.
