i have a Venue 8 3G with a non offical software .. this is the reason why the normal OTA update doesnt work. Is there a chance to get a full flash to offical software and than using normal OTA updates ?

no im working on finding users might have one for the V8_3G but i need V7_3G too : please spread the call :
I am still in need of a users with these devices :
Venue 7 3G jb 4.3v1.25
Venue 8 3G jb 4.3v1.23
please if you know of anyone that has them contact me with the ota updates back online i fear that 3G users might miss their shot at root with out capturing the images off the jb4.3 build i wont be able to create root kits i have captured the ota updsates for these two versions above but with out the images i cant create a rootKIT for them so please if your part of other venue forums please spread the word and get these users in touch with me before its too late.

You can't get the Gingerbread version at this moment. Be patient now because there are also many users in Malaysia who are using Motorola Atrix (non-4G) too.
Those threads that posting the latest Gingerbread SBF file(s) does not suit our version in Malaysia. You might not be able to flash "these" firmware into your Atrix too. Correct me if I am wrong...
If your Atrix is still not rooted then keep it as it is (if you want to have the OTA update later BUT YOU REALLY NEED A LOT OF PATIENT).
If you don't care about the Gingerbread update then you may proceed with the rooting. You may refer to this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=578771&d=1303829207

As long as your version is: Version .4.3.10.MB860.AsiaRetail.en.03 (this is Malaysia version and it is not 4G)

I recently bought an Alcatel Ot-990 which is Android 2.2.2 Froyo
but unfortunately it has a software problem...
so i want it to update the firmware to the next version of 2.3 Gingerbread or to re install the same version contained it...!

I've the same problem too but you might solve it easier than me .
just try this link to access the phone officially web page then click download from the top of the page then click upgrade in one touch and download&install it then follow the instructions to done this job with your self .
If any one have ant another solution please help us because this one didn't work with me ( it toke 5 hours in downloading data to get to 48% only ,so I cancelled the process ) so any other solution would be good .

Now we have developed software to upgrade one touch 990 from Android 2.2 to android 2.3, but please note that not all one touch 990 can be upgraded; it depends on requirement from service provider. Now there are 2 ways to make it. One is with one touch upgrade; the other is FOTA.

Does someone have Venue 8 3830_JB4.3_V1.25_140226 OTA update.zip?
Because I buy chinese edition, it doesn't have google service....
It's 4.2.2 right now , I think it could patch google play by using US ota file.
Please help me!

Only way to accomplish this without the manufacturer issuing an update to update your android version, would be to make/find custom roms for the device, which if you've no experience in coding is difficult.

I upgraded to Android 9.0 after it was officially released then when I realised that Google Apps weren't working with it ,I then Downgraded using Hi Suite and now I'm trying to update again but I'm not receiving any updates at all . I've tried using Hi Suite as well but no luck. I've also tried the 'dload' method but nothing seems to work. Please help if anyone knows how to get out of this mess :good:

I had this same issue and took the same steps. A friend of mine had similar phone but bought it from the US and his updates just fine.
Haven't had any luck with upgrading g mine though
