can't pickup calls on headset in this rom.

Random reboots while calling.

Have you tried with the right recovery (CWM v6.0.4.8 or TWRP v2.7.0.0 Touch). Don't forget to use GAPPS 4.4.3
Use Titanium Backup than Backup Pro.
For message i use SMS backup & restore.

None of the above mentioned issues encountered.... Try titanium backup pro.

Not using CWM recovery.
Can you not bump threads an hour after you started them please ?
If you want to backup/restore apps, use Titanium Backup Pro. As Oinky has hinted at, you're not going to be able to do that with CWRecovery. It's all or nothing with a Nandroid; in advanced restore the options are pretty straightforward (and don't include an option to restore just apps).

i use rom toolbox pro for backup app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolboxpro&feature=search_result
If you did indeed make backup in CWM before flashing RR 2.0, you should restore it via CWM (not download mode). It will restore your phone to its complete state before flashing RR2.0 . Download Titanium backup, backup all user apps in batch mode (top right hand corner button) - don't backup the system (red coloured) apps! Now flash RR 2.0 again after doing wipe, cache wipe and dalvik wipe, fix permissions afterwards under 'advanced' (still in CWM). Download Titanium Backup again, and under batch mode, restore user apps - not system apps!
If you have the free version you'll be prompted to do the apps restore one by one, don't worry, it will work just as fine (just time consuming)

[q] restore apps from nandroid backup

Hi everyone,
I had upgraded my Galaxy Gio from stock rom to custom rom (CM 7.2 based), and now I want to restore just a few apps + data (for e.g. Memo) and Contacts (from stock rom) from my Nandroid backup, so I want it should be on the current custom rom.
How far I tried to do so, I could'nt get it done. I tried with NANDROID MANAGER, I installed it and tried to restore some apps + their data, (the apps was in previous rom in System/Apps so Nandroid Manager automatically wanted to install it in system/apps), ok, the program showed as it's installed with no broblems, BUT after reboot as it required, NOTHING HAPPENED, so I looked in system/apps and data/data with root explorer, those apps & data were there, but it was not installed.....
I also tried to restore the Contacts from Nandroid (Contacts Storage), and I ended up with erasing all contacts I had currently on the phone (anyway that wasn't a problem, cause i had an regular backup of it).
So I would like to understand what the problem is, and how is it possible to have my previous memos and contacts restored to my current rom?!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE?!
Thanks in advance.
If this were me I would make a nandroid of current ROM, wipe clean, restore nandroid of old ROM, use titanium backup (preferred but there are others) to backup apps and data (I use a different app for contacts and SMS/call log but I believe titanium can do this too) then I would wipe clean, restore nandroid, restore what is needed from titanium
May sound like a lot but should be finished in less than a half hour with all

Thank you for replying.
But I had read some posts that if the current rom is EXT4 based and stock rom is RFS based, then CWM wouldn't restore the backup normally (because the sd card has to be rfs format - something like this if I understood). So i'm a little bit afraid to do that cause I don't want to get stuck on boot....
Any sugestion for that??
Thanks in advance.
Well sd-card is always formatted as fat/ntfs irrespective of the rom....

Like in the post above you will never have an SD formatted in rfs, but there are some recoveries that have issues restoring backups depending on the format the backup was made in but this doesn't appear to be your case (like if a backup was made in yaffs2 but recovery uses tar) so I really don't think this should be an issue for you. Having said that I have never used your phone before and if you're very concerned you should find another who has to ask. But I'm still 99% sure you're safe to do this

try restoring the backup via titanium backup by selecting
batch restore->restore apps with data->deselect all-> find the app by name you want to restore data -> run the restore
and you should be back to your lost memos
i think that should help .

I've had some lost notes as well. My cwm backup file wasn't corrupted, but I still thought it was a lot of effort for a list/note or three to cwm restore twice. My conclusion was that it sadly was the only way to get them back. Restoring an app (through titanium) like notes will only work if you're on the same rom. So it should work on your s2 with a factory reset only. My guess is you should fix your titanium backup if it's not restoring properly.
I tried to look into the titanium backup files of my note app with no success but maybe you're better than me.
Its my battery problem it is spoiled sometime when I use camera phone restarts..
You gave the right solution Thank you for your time
cheers

you can maybe check the battery replacement options or maybe try a different rom as some of the rom have a bug that causes the phone to restart or go in a boot loop when any app is launched
also u can get your kernel settings checked cause they might not be compatible with the rom
battery replacement is recommended only if its run out of its recharge cycles
happy that i could be of help to you
hit thanks if i helped

[Q] Sony Xperia U SMS Backup

Hey.
I have one problem with backing up and restoring messages.
Yesterday I installed CM11 ([ROM][UB][4.4.4][W25-S3][XperiaSTE Team] CyanogenMod 11.0), before that I was using stock firware 6.1.1.B.1.100.
I backed up my messages using SMS Backup & Restore, installed CM11 and restored using that app. It does restore messages, although when I open message app it says 'Loading conversations'.
I waited for over 10 minutes and nothing. I have around 11k messages and when I did restore on stock it loaded with no problem within 1 minute.
What's the problem?
Next time use titanium backup or nandroid manager.

So that means that the problem is in the app? Or would it say 'Loading Conversations' anyway?
Edit: tried to restore around 5k messages and it loaded in a minute.
Surely the problem is in the CM rom...
BTW Titanium uses. xml and Nandroid restores directly from the nandroid backup.

Thanks for the info
If anyone else is facing this problem - reduce your number of messages (worked for me - instead 11k I restored 6k) :good:

It will take a while to load the messages (all 11k of them) but after that you are good to go.

[Q] Unable to restore data w/apps using My Backup Pro on HAM2

I have my HAM2 bootloader unlocked, rooted and flashed permanent TWRP recovery, but can't restore data using Mybackup Pro. Anyone else having the same issue using this app?

I use TWRP all the time and I have no issue with my backup or restore. I currently have 4 backups and all have been restored one time or another. Is your TWRP blue or yellow?
Yellow.
Actually, I was trying to restore my apks and data AFTER I made two nandroid backups of the stock ROM: One totally stock and one after mods to build. prop and removal of bloatware.
and what is the error message? I will upload a restore if you want and you can try to restore it if you want and it will tell you if its the backup or the phone recovery itself.

Do you mean a restore from TWRP or the MyBackup Pro app?
If it's the latter, then, sure. I'll try anything once lol.
Oh, BTW, there were no error messages shown. Everything ran normally.
twrp bug
I found that twrp 2.8.3.0 cannot restore the DATA partition on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (klte).
I went back to 2.8.1.0 and now I can restore also DATA.

I have TWRP ver. 2.8.0.0. Will I still be able to restore data partitions on that?
I'm also curious about the issue of restoring my apks and data onto the phone AFTER full wipe thru TWRP. It's been ongoing since TWRP was installed. A Dev team for their popular backup app is still checking for more bugs.
I think I'm lost at ...why not just restore data with TWRP?

Restoring a nandroid backup thru TWRP was never an issue. That part works fine. It's restoring the apps and data that are stored on my memory card back onto the device AFTER a clean wipe using the My Backup Pro app is where I'm having problems.
I hope this has clarified things a bit.

Titanium Backup works to properly restore data and apps after a new wipe or even a new phone (dissimilar hardware). I haven't used the My Backup Pro app because Titanium Backup (root) has worked so well...that or just nandroid/twrp full backups. Have you tried restoring via TWRP, then make a new backup with Titanium backup then wipe, then use TI to restore apps+data?
