[Q] Impossible to get to Recovery Mode - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to recover an Samsung Galaxy S II, when I got it was in a stuck in a bootloop, I tried to flash a stock ROM on it, it was still stuck in a bootloop. I flashed a new kernel on it to see if it was doing something.
It did not work and now I flashed the CM kernel on it but I can't access the recovery mode anymore...
I would like to know what should I try to do...
Thank you in advance!

Have you done a factory reset yet ? If not, do one.
If that doesn't work, find Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General, download the 3 part firmware linked in that thread, flash with Odin/in DL mode (any problems with Odin flash; refer to that thread & go through troubleshooting steps methodically until you get a successful flash) - this will wipe your phone, hopefully removing whatever remnants of what you had on the phone previously that's causing your bootloop.
From there, re-root your phone & restore nandroid or reinstall custom rom/kernel.

Recovery Modus is not working

Hello,
I have the following issue:
When I try to start the Samsung Galaxy S2 into the recovery mode with Volume Up + Power
it won't start. The samsung starts shows just Samsung Galaxy II boot screen.
If I release the buttons it goes of and on again and then trying to boot but there i have a boot loop
The only thing i can access is the download mode.
I tried to flash Philz Kernel with CWM, Siyhas Kernel and I tried to reflash the complete Samsung rom.
But also ends up in a boot loop I can't clear the cache or so because i can't access the recovery..nothing is working.
Before that I had Cyangogen.Mod 10,2 on this phone.
Any advise what else i could try to overcome this issue?
Thanks
If recovery is broken you only have one option - get a stock rom for your carrier from Samfirmware, flash it in download mode with Odin, re-root your phone, restore your most recent nandroid backup if you have one, or reflash the custom rom/kernel you were using & start again.
You haven't been using Rom Manager by chance, have you ?

Nope I tried already with stock rom. But it ends up the same.
I use Odin 3.07 and the I9100DXLSD_I9100OLBLSD_I9100DXLS8_HOME.tar flash as PDA one file.
But this didn't solve it. The recovery menu won't boot it is really strange.
I can get into download but this is all i have - nor flashing of stock rom is giving me back the recovery nor the flash of any recovery system.
CWM 6.3,0,6 - TWRP, PHILZ nothing
You need to keep trying to flash a stock rom because that's the only way you're fixing it. Search for Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread; try the stuff in that thread. In particular, flash a 3 part stock rom which will wipe your phone & more than likely fix the issue & enable it to boot normally.
***Gosh how to delete in this forum a doublepost?...
Hello,
I could fix it somehow. I just made in Odin a Nand erase all - let it take time and flashed the stock.
Now it works again without any glitch.
muha what a birth

[Q] newbie bootloop

can someone help me. i am trying to root my s2 i9100 runniing ics 4.03.. i didnt notice the yellow triangle when i flashed the phiilz touch recovery + rooting via stock recovery. and now my phone is stock at boot(bootloop) plsss help me. is there something like a file to be flash so my the bootloop will be fixed?
Boot into recovery (If you don't know how to do this, you should be modding your phone at all, search if you don't), factory reset. If you can't get into recovery, get a stock rom for your country/carrier from Samfirmware (not 4.0.4 given I assume you'll be attempting to root your phone again), flash with Odin following instructions in stickied thread near top of Q&A titled 'Flash stock firmware'. Problems flashing with Odin ? Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General has all the info you need to get a successful flash & a clean slate.
From there, maybe re-read the instructions of what you were trying to do a bit better & have another go at it.

[Q] Stuck on firmware logo

My brother just gave me a S II for mine to keep but it keeps stuck in the recovery logo for like 10 sec and then it shuts down i downloaded Kies and tried the recovery option but that won't work somebody suggestions?
Download stock rom for country/carrier (not Android 4.0.4) from Samfirmware, boot into download mode & flash following instructions in stickied thread near top of Q&A titled 'Flash stock firmware'.
Problems with flashing ? Find Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General. Simply flashing stock should fix it, but it it still bootloops after flash, boot into recovery & do a factory reset.
Still bootlooping ? Download the 3 part firmware linked in Hopper's thread & flash that with Odin (this will wipe your phone).
If you try all that & still bootloops, post here again.

Did you even tried what @MistahBungle suggested?
No,no root is required to be able to flash via Odin.

[Q] S2 wont boot! stuck on the logo and shutsdown

guys my samsung sgs2 wont boot up stuck on the sII logo screen and shuts down but working on recovery mode and i also tried restoring my back up but still the same happens.
my s2 is rooted and running beanstalk 4.4.2
Recovery mode = factory reset. If that doesn't work, stock rom from Samfirmware, flash with Odin. Problems with Odin flash ? Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General has all the info you need to get a successful flash (you may need to do a factory reset as well after the Odin flash if you end up doing this). Once you've done that, re-root your phone & try restoring your nandroid, or reinstall custom rom/kernel & start from scratch.

already factory reset and tried flashing my custom rom again but still that happens.
can you give me the link where to download the stock rom? but i dont know my baseband version.
Samfirmware (Google it). You don't need to know whatever baseband you have (it's irrelevant anyway), download any stock rom for your carrier/country (not 4.0.4) given you'll be going back to a custom rom anyway.

'download any stock rom for your carrier/country (not 4.0.4) given you'll be going back to a custom rom anyway'.
Won't be repeating myself in this thread again. You should already know this stuff if you're modding your phone in any way.

[Q] I messed up something (black screen). Need help!

I knew I'll break it one day so no big surprise here.
Let me start from the beginning. I was testing a new ROM (C-ROM to be exact) but i didn't like it's using TWRP (I hate this thing, i'm used to CWM), so I tried installing CWM by using ROM Manager so I can restore from my Nandroid backup. Despite the "success" message of ROM Manager - the phone kept booting into TWRP recovery so i googled a "flashable cwm zip" and found this: CWM Recovery v6.0.4.5 for Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 ZIP
I flashed the above zip using TWRP (success message followed) but when i rebooted the phone - NOTHING came up. I thought myself i bricked it but i managed to go to download mode.
Where do i go from here? I guess i'll have to use PC Odin from here but i don't know what to do exactly (i'm not power user).
C'mon...You don't know how to flash a rom with Odin ? Not like it's a great secret, you don't need to be a 'power user', this info is easily found by searching (or even looking in the thread stickied near the top of Q&A titled 'Flash stock firmware').
Get a stock rom from Samfirmware, flash it with instructions in that thread. Problems with Odin flash ? Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread stickied in General has all the info you need to get a successful flash.
Edit - Also, it was Rom Manager that broke your recovery. Don't use it. Yes, you may have been using it for a long time without problems, but that changed today, didn't it ? Eventually what happened to you will happen to everyone who uses Rom Manager on the I9100. It's unnecessary.

1) Flash stock rom using 'ODIN'
2) Search for 'Philz' kernel thread and fallow instruction there to 'Root' your 'Stock Rom'.
3) then u can try its recovery to restore the 'Nand bkp' .
4) if the Bkp rom is KK then flash a KK compatible kernel and then try restoring the Nand bkp.
