This is not possible. Don't waste your time on apps. Installation of apps is in internal storage by default. You MAY be able to move the data from some of these apps to SD but not all

How to apps to sd card on orginal ROM

Hello.
How to get apps to sd card on rooted htc hero, and the orginal ROM. Please help me.
PS. Sorry for my poor english.
The Friendly User Manual says you cannot do it.
Unless you have some religious concern against it, move to MoDaCo ROM.
if you have rooted the phone, you just download apps2sd2 from the market and it does it for you.
if you have NOT rooted your phone, forget it. you can't.
go forth and Root, young man!
I can't find apps2sd2 on the market.

Try 'AppsToSD 2'. Appears in the market for me as that.
I believe App Manager has a backup feature, which doesn't need root.
Backing up apps to SD is a completely different animal to "Apps To SD".
The former simply backs up the APK files to your SD card - the physical apps remain on the phone itself.
The latter allows you to *run* applications from your SD card, so that they do not consume any phone memory. In addition, future app installations will go to SD card too.

Dave

[Q] how can i install apps on an sd card?

ok so i have an hauwie Ideos s7 fat on 2.1-update1 (not the newer slim one which already has the update to 2.2).
its not tied to any network just use it at home on wifi.
i would like to know how to install apps on the external sd in stead of the internal also how to get to the folder which holds pictures and videos so i can move them to create more room. it doesnt have to much internal memory so by installing everything on the sd i plan to improve usage.
i have searched the google and have searched this site and various others and havent found the answer to my question.
so any help given would be great thank u

You either need to install the Froyo update (since moving apps to the SD started as a default feature in Froyo) or root your device.

Use the app to transfer whichever apps you want to the new partition. Also set it to automatically link new apps to the sd partition, if that's what you want.
If you're having trouble, just Google it. There are hundreds of guides for using Link2SD, and thousands covering all kinds of ways to move apps to the sd card. Here's one to try.

[Q] choose to install apps on internal memory or sd

hello,
I'm wondering if there is some kind of mod that lets you choose where to install an app.
I know some android devices have this feature.
At the moment I use gl2sd to copy supported apps to sd but I guess there must be an easier way.
If not, I dare to bet some xda developer can fix this
My device is rooted btw.
thx.

Install SD Maid from the Play Store and run a corpse cleaner and system cleaner. Click refresh then clean, make sure you have all boxes ticked in settings for all corpses. Then tell me what you're moving to SD: Just the app, or app + data, or anything else? What kinds of apps, I expect games will have more stuff in /data/app because of libs and stuff, or maybe in /sdcard/data or /sdcard/Android/data so that may be why you can install big apps. Also just consider that you may just not have enough room.
Thanks

[Q] Hello, please I need help to move apps to SD in LG L70 phone.

Hello, well, I'm sorry if this thread shouldn't be here, I'm a new user =D. But well, I ask help please, I hope to find an answer.
See, I've rooted my phone, but I can't move the apps to SD. I partitioned the SD for using Link2SD and it recognize the partition ext2, but can't create the links for apps. I fixed the problem the SD for writing (I can copy, cute and paste from internal storage to SD and inverse? - Sorry, my english is basic and don't have enough megabytes for using an English-Spanish dictionary =D-). So, I think that LG made a good job locking the system. I found some apps for trying to solve the problem, but I think the system protects of they (like Force2SD, Final App2SD, etc.) because don't let me install them, it says that the device don't have enough memory, but does let me install other apps heavier, like facebook. So, the system doesn't give permissions for move apps although the device is rooted. For now, I read that my only salvation is installing a Custom ROM. But there is no ROM for my device until now . Someone knows another option for help me?

I just figured it out, phone is rooted, card is partitioned, you can still only move very few apps to the card, but you can "link" them to the card, it is the option below the move to sd button. I went from having 400MB free to 750MB with the free app, and now have 1.2GB with the paid version. I am amazed!
