I have a problem with Google Camera (from the Play Store) not being able to complete panorama or photosphere photos. When I move the camera to the next dot to capture the photo it just does nothing, the camera is still running, but it doesn't take the photo. I have to force close the camera app.
This has been happening to me in SlimKat, AICP, Paranoid Android, AOKP - all 4.4.x ROMS.

Click to collapse
I just successfully took two panorama photos and one photo sphere shot with the lastest CM 11 4.4.4 nightly - no issues. Like I mentioned on the FB Notographer group, I have usually 90% success rate with cameras before having to force close and continue.
No problems with any AOSP ROMs for me. Try a full /system wipe and reinstallation?

Hi, I have a SGS3, but I'm loving AOSP roms since my SGS2, i'm still on SAMMY roms only for the awesome camera app feautres that I don't want to lose...
so i'm asking to aosp users...do you have a good replacement (with HDR, somethingsimilarto best shot..) for stock camera app? 'cause i don't like very much aosp camera
Have a look at this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746611
It's frequently updated with s3 camera app features. It already got burst mode, take pics while recording video and ISO control.
Use HDR camera from play store for HDR pics.
I've tried most AOSP Roms but the camera won't save my pictures. Camera zoom fx worksfine but both 4.1 and 4.2 cameras has the issue ? Other people don't seem to have this problem
I have a Micromax Magnus A117. I rooted it today. I wanted to get a Photo sphere option on my camera so I uninstalled my existing gallery and installed the .apk file, that I found in one of the xda forums and now, although the gallery works and camera also work, but I can't find the Photo Sphere option in the camera at all. I have three options that is Panorama, camera and video, only these three options are there. Now I am not able to understand why this is happening. My android version is Jelly Bean 4.2.
I really like the Android Stock camera app, more simple ( with less options but I don't care) more faster.... But I'm in love with the second camera and I would like to have it on my G5 working perfectly, so can anyone make Google Camera work like Whatsapp camera (tapping the flip camera switch to the second back camera)
You should use the Snap Camera that all the CM based custom roms used... It's just like Google Camera!
Is anyone able to make sharp panoramic and/or spheric (Google camera) photos? My pictures are blurred on every AOSP ROM (ANdroid 6 and 7).
"Prove" would be great.
The Google Cam is known to take blurry panoramas and spherical photos in some phones, especially those that don't natively support it. You'd better try other camera solutions
I tried many camera apps, but every single app took blurred photos.
Edit: "A Better Camera" does work.
