Running beans v3, lockscreen weather keeps displaying as Tasso, and there's no way to change it, where can I do so? If I can't, are there any other apps that display weather on lockscreen?

Not sure... I'm having this problem also periodically. It is showing a city I never go to.

It really depends on the widget/app that you are using... The one that comes stock is garbage imo! I have Weatherbug and you can set it to JUST use your internal gps for location data instead of tower generated info (which usually ends up being wrong). Just explore some different weather apps and find one that works good for ya! :good:
I find HD widgets to be far more accurate than any other option.
Unless you tell them too, most weather widgets will pick up your coarse location, which is based on network information. This is much faster and less battery intensive than using GPS. The problem is you may get bad location data for the tower(s) nearby and end up in the wrong place. Mine are always close enough as I'm just really interested in temperature. Not all weather apps though will support the use of GPS for fine location though.
had this same problem with beautiful widgets...make sure you check settings to make sure you are using the gps. if that fails, try going into app manager and clearing data. last thing i would try is deleting app and redownloading.

I had the same problem with beautiful widgets.
It invariably decided soon after I installed it tha I was in new york city which is 600 miles from me.
It never made any difference what I set for GPS etc, it still did it. It did exactly the same thing in my wifes G3.
HD widgets works so well however that I don't even install anything else.
Hi,
I like Llama very much and I'm currently setting up a periodic turning on and off of the data connection while the screen is off to save battery. This already seems to work, however I would like to show when turning the screen on again how often the data connection was turned on. But something like putting "Synced %SyncCount% times" as reminder text does not seem to work. How can I show this? I would rather not want to install the minimalistic text widget for that.
Also it would be nice to show a toast instead of a reminder.

I've been trying to look for a list of llama variables without success. Trying to find a llama variable to detect whether GPS is enabled or disabled.

Anyway for Llama to show a toast?
Anyway for Llama to show a toast? Either through an Android Intent or Variable? I want to display a message / notification (toast) on my phone when I perform an action.

Very helpful!
Hi all,
It seems providing accurate weather is not the easiest thing to do. For starters, our development team is trying hard to change the weather provider, which should hopefully fix those bugs. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you're still having trouble, you can contact [email protected].
Now that the OTA is finally rolling out and people are updating, I think it's a good time for a thread about the differences aside from what's mentioned in the changelog. It'll give a little insight as to what's changed/added.
So feel free to start listing out what's changed!

Don't notice anything new right off the bat with the camera. It did take a while to update the firmware though. Still have to dig around
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Here is a summary of changes I noticed:
UI is smoother than before with no hiccups yet, but that may be a placebo effect.
Notification panel toggles look shorter and waste less vertical space. They cannot be turned off anymore. Now you can only select which ones can be scrolled through horizontally before you have to open the full toggles drawer.
Default font seems to have been updated, though I am not sure whether I was on Samsung Sans beforehand and it simply reset the font.
Upon further inspection, it seems as if my font choice has been reset to default from Samsung Sans.
Camera firmware update, but I don't immediately see any changes.
When viewing photos in gallery or camera app, the date taken is shown briefly on the bottom left.
GPS location and Verizon location services have been merged into one option, it is no longer possible to disable Verizon location services if you want to use GPS.
Blocking mode, reading mode added.
Wifi notification can be disabled.
Play store updated to new sliding drawer, version 4.4.2.1 (this may have just been a coincidentally simultaneous update on my part).
There is a link in the app drawer to install KNOX, which looks like some sort of secure VM based on the text in the app.
NFL Mobile added (may have been in MI1 and I just didn't notice, but it is in my app drawer).
Contacts list is more compact (white space removed), you can now see approx. 9 contacts at a time. There is no scroll bar anymore, and the letters to quickly jump through the list are permanently visible.
Wifi location polling when wifi is off (as per Android 4.3).
Calculator is fullscreen (no status bar) with no way to change it, pretty sure this didn't happen before.
The stock music player can now play the mp3 files I have saved on the device. It always said that the files were unsupported beforehand, and I did not change them at all.
The dialer doesn't seem to lag as much when looking up contacts as you type (666 for "MOM"), but this might have come with the overall UI. It also doesn't lock up the phone for half a second when initiating a call anymore.
With Air View on, a few of the options in Developer Options are highlighted when hovering over them (not sure where this came from or why it is there, maybe testing for their 4.4 build, but I noticed it when going through the settings).
Clock app UI updated.
"Disable" in application manager is renamed to "Turn off."
That is all I can see immediately. I do not use stock launcher, keyboard, browser, or email so I did not check these.
Just quick question for those that got it, one of you said your font got reset did ajuthing else reset or get wiped?

I'm sure sbreen will add it eventually, possibly with version 11?
Developer Option Reset
There is a bug with the new camera. I have all the animation and transitions set to off in developer options. Transition animation scale gets set to 1x every time the camera is launched. Super annoying.
Thanks for such a complete changelog!

You might want to take a second look. It's not a global setting, but controlled by the app. So open the app that the widget is linked to and look in the settings menu for that app.
In particular, if you are using the default accuweather app, that is indeed where the setting resides. You may also want to recreate the widget to speed up the change i.e. don't expect that the change will always be reflected instantaneously.
.
OK thanks, I figured it's tied to a certain weather app. Will keep looking. Here is a pic of my lockscreen,

That appears to be the Accuweather app. From memory.. tap or double tap on the time or temperature on the home screen to open the full page Accuweather.. then click on the menu icon there (3 dots) to get into the app's settings dialog. Then look for the C/F or metric /Imperial toggle.
.
Hmm, Not sure where that app is, I thought I had it frozen in TB. I've only got one weather app installed right now.

I froze it and restarted the phone. It did get rid of it so I know that's it, however when unfrozen there is no actual app anywhere to configure.
*Edit it doesn't come back now after unfreeze and rebooting. Oh well no big deal. The weather app I do have and use is Weather & Clock Widget.

Stand alone widgets are less common.. and will be configured from the widget itself instead of a main app then.

The reason his app settings are not showing when he taps the the temp..
Is probably because he has the
Unified Daemon frozen in TB too.
I learned it the hard way from freezing it..

Here is a link to my 2 apks if you want to try them..put them in system/app ...just rename yours to .bak and you can switch back if doesn't work but should as that's all I changed..then restart phone and replace the original weather widget and make it 100 percent transparent.
Tap on the Temp on the home screen takes you to the settings.

Weather App - change from C to F

I am new and this may just be an old thread that has been resolved.
I went through the entire thread and didn't see a suitable reply.
On my newly acquired Galaxy 5S, I wanted to do the same; change from C to F.
First went through the Settings App and didn't see anything that would make the change.
Sometimes things are very simple. And this was something I probably over-thought.
What I did:
Unlocked the screen, and there's the "Weather App" loaded right on the main screen at the very top of the screen.
I tapped the "Weather App" box, which brought the "Weather App" full screen.
I then tapped the three vertical dots, flush right top on the screen. This brought up four options (black text on white background).
They are from top to bottom, 'Weather map', 'More', 'Settings' and 'Report wrong city name'.
Tap on "Settings":
Then, under "General", the first settings option is "Unit".
Tap "Unit", then tap the radio button "°F" to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
Unless you want to continue making additional changes, such as 'Refresh', 'Location' or 'Notifications...' you are done.
There is no "Save" button. The changes that have been made I believe take effect immediately.
All you have to do is back out and get back to the main screen by pressing the Home button to get back to business.
Hope that helps someone, someplace.
Best,
Robert
Hallelujah, I have figured it out. Press on the widget on the lock screen. Select change widget. Choose Accuweather (yes, it does not appear in your apps management list) A whole page opens up with the Accuweather forecast AND in the top right corner (at least on mine) (Note 4) you get the three dots indicating a menu. Press the dots and holy cow the settings for accuweather come up. And there you will see the temperature change option. Right at the top. Hope this helps.
