Hmm well I tried twice to reboot the phone. On the third time I just pulled the battery while idling on the home screen. Powered back up and CPU1 is back online:silly:

I would like to know if the stock power saving mode is still affecting the s3 even if I'm using siyahkernel 1.5.2 and my cpu/gpu are overclocked and undervolted? Thanks.
The Galaxy S3 is already provided with a function "energy saving". Once enabled, will help to limit the maximum speed of the CPU, reduce the power screen and change the background colors for system applications, in order to save as much energy as possible..

If you use STweaks with SiyahKernel , turn off the voice CPU POWER SAVING,using your settings, CPU end GPU , for energy saving...
He was asking if and how Siyah kernel affects the already built-in "Power Saving" mode, having his CPU and GPU overclocked and undervolted.
Hi ppl, my phone arc s is not going into deepsleep mode. Rather it just keeps clicking at the lowest frequency(245 MHz). At night it loses 20-30% battery in 10 hrs.
The Rom I'm using is stable ultimate hd 4.0 by jader1234 along with lupus ICS kernel.

I've used wakelock detector to see which app keeps phone in wakelock
I used cpu spy and result is :
A1 CPU Tool also gave same result:
Note: when I installed the Rom deepsleep was working(checked in wakelock detector) but when I charged phone and removed the charger the green charging LED didn't turn off. I rebooted the phone and deepsleep stopped working.
Any help would be appreciated because I'm rather worried about my phone's battery life

I own a chinese manufactured Android phone based on the Qualcomm MSM8225Q SoC. I could build the kernel with source code obtained from CAF (tag R8625QSOSKQLYA3070) and config obtained from the phone's stock kernel (with extract-ikconfig script). The kernel boots, works, almost everything works perfectly except the display.
The display works fine right after booting up. However, after phone display shuts off and I wake it up again, the color on the display get's inverted. Here is what I mean.
Exactly after booting up:

After display turns off and I wake it up (by presing power button):

Can anyone help me fix this?
One of my kids did something to my wife's S3 and tuned on a strange information panel overlay on top of launcher and other parts of TouchWiz, theres a screenshot:

I can't see the image, but is it like this:
If yes then turn off show cpu usage.
Sorry about the image, I fixed it already. But no it has nothing to do with the CPU usage setting.
Found out that it's factory mode. Fixed with http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/fixed-exit-factory-mode-t2424015
