Hi. I was using hide it pro but after installing hyperdrive kitkat it doesn't hide text anymore. tried different apps but none work... they get in into the hide app and also to the regular message app. Anyone knows one tht actually works or a way to hide a contact and all messages from that?
Thanks

Hi all - first post so i hope it a relatively decent question. Did have a search but couldnt find anything related to this particular issue on this phone.
Im not sure whether this is better in the apps section or the phone specific but thought i would ask here first.
I have an unrooted S2 and i would like to use another Launcher.
My problem is that i cannot seem to find and App or Launcher or anything that can alert me of unread emails.
I have tried 'missed it' and executive assistant but to no avail.
Missed it works for calls and SMS but not email.
I should add that i am not using G mail but using the built in samsung email App with two accounts (1 POP and 1 Exchange).
If i receive an email using the default launcher and open the app drawer there is an email icon which displays the unread count in a red bubble. So if i add this icon to desktop or to the dock i can see unread mails.
If i am using Launcher Pro for example this icon is not in my app drawer or anywhere that i can find it. In stead there is exactly the same icon in the drawer but this does not display the unread count.
I am assuming that this is a semi sansung widget (although i cannot add it to desktop as a widget even in the standard launcher).
I have also tried using the social hub with launcher pro (and Go launcher and ADW) but again i get no notifications.
I still get the notifications in the notification bar no matter what launcher i use but these dissapear after a while.
This is currently the only thing stopping me using a different Launcher and it would be great if anyone had any ways around this.
Unfortunately i cannot and dont really want to forward my emails to Gmail.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Nath
Anyone got any ideas on this?
Thanks

I like SE`s stock sms app but I hate opening the whole app for a quick reply....I ve used sms popup from the market but I m not really satisfied......
you can test go launcher's sms popup. It is themeable and you got your sms directly on the desktop screen, where you also have the possibility to directly answer. In Stock you just can pull down the status bar to read your sms, if one arriced. That's quite handy I think.

Click to collapse
+1 for the statusbar
Hi guys, I am looking for a way to hide app icons from the app drawer without rooting my phone as well as I do not want to use any launchers. I also do not want want the hidden apps to be force stopped from running in background. For example, I want to hide auto call recorder from my app drawer while it is running in background recording my calls secretly. Thanks.
i think you can't do it without rooting unless you use custom launcher
Use this. Worked on most launchers I tried.

Hello Developers,
Could someone modify the Android Messages app ( the official SMS app from Google) and remove the feature that makes the notification stick in the notification bar after you reply to a message. It also shows as unread in the app even though you answer.
I just want to it to disappear after I send the message like every other app
Thanks
