So, I got my hands on this Acer Iconia Tab 8, given away at the Yahoo after party of I/O 2014. Baytrail based. Wanted to root it. Adb doesn't list it, fastboot doesn't detect it in fastboot mode either. Anybody knows a way to root it, yet? Maybe the baytrail android tablets have a common solution? Thanks in advance.

I have Problem with my iconia a1-810 .Tablet stuck on the acer logo, I have search too much before posting this message, but I find no way to flash the tablet. I can not use the Acer Iconia Toolkit because the tablet does not start for use adb, I try with fastboot but its not working . if somebody have a solution I Thank in advance
try every update.zip in toolbox thread if you get partition error you need to wait for bootloader unlock which can take month's, or conact acer support and send it back.

I just upgraded my Acer Iconia A1-810 tab to Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. I couldn't get root. I try to run the latest version of acer iconia toolkit under xubuntu 14.04 with usb-debugging on, but it says :
E: Couldn't connect to your Acer Iconia A1-810 / A1-811 / B1-711 / B1-720 over adb. Plug-In the device with USB-Debugging Mode turned on.
I tried other metods like towel root or framaroot as well, but nothing to do.
Could you help me find a way to get root on this tablet please ?

Hello, I tried to root with iconia toolkit version 0.8.5, but now it says "Creating system.img.gz (this will take about 7 minutes) ...
Failed to create a system.img.gz. Missing telnet connection could be the problem".

I rooted my B3-A20 with KINGO Root. It's a one tap root and it doesn't boot loop your device like King Root, then to manage permissions after you rooted download SuperSU.
