hi i just tried to root my new z2 and being a newbie rooter i must have done something wrong because my phone is stuck on the sony logo, i can access the cwm and ive tried deleting the caches and resetting but it didnt work, can someone please help me?

reflash stock Rom may solve ur problem u soft-breaked ur phone
if PCC or SUS or other xperia tools detect ur phone try to flash and control ur phone by them
but as u have access to recovery u can flash stock rom through it.

Hello, after rooting, installing xRecovery bla bla, i opened XRecovery, did a full back-up of the default android 2.1 version (thank god!) and continued to install Froyo 2.2 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059361 ). I can't understand. While I have 2.1, or 2.2 i must wipe from XRecovery? He means the Factory reset (full wipe) choise? If I wipe and lose the back-up I did?

do in advantage option wipe dalivik cache then factory reset and try.you wont lose backup beacuse you have it on your sdcard.if it stil wont work reinstall custom rom.

Do what Eyama said. I'm just going to suggest that you also make a backup of your SD (copy it to your PC). Not really that important but just good practice.
yeah it is good to backup all stuff that you need on phone and sdcard
True. I always keep copies on my pc of everything from phone and sd card for the important roms i've used. And keep a copy of data/app and system folders on my sd card plus all the installation files+fixes of roms.
It might seem too much for some people, but it's how i'm used to work and it's helped me countless times.
Xrecovery backups are great, but sometimes you need just one file and restoring everything for that one file can be a bit over the top. Of course if you really mess up, you have to restore everything

Have you tried a repair with PC Companion or SEUS?

Hmm it stuck on boot means u want to give it to repair shop nt to sony sevice center this like happend me too :cyclops:

Most probably you did missed 1 or 2 steps that caused looping.

i can't do anythign can someone help me...? i can't turn the phone on and i cant access x recovery. ive tried re-flashign multipel times to no solution...
major panic. i just upgraded to stock gingerbread and wanted to root, and no im screwed?

Use PCCompanion to repair your phone.
Just run it and follow the instructions
Download it free from google search.
Even if it says your phone is up to date it will allow you to repair it.
guys i hav rooted my phone
even unlocked my bootloader successfully
after that when i installed codeman 9 rom via CWM Recovery , it showed that u hav succesfully installed super fasr new rom.
but when i restarted my phone its showing just sony ericsson logo .
please tell me where i have done wrong , i read many post but didnt find this kind of prob .

Connect to pc, and repair phone with PCCompanion.
Then try again

i have rooted my phone
unlocked bootloader
done with the flashing of kernal (boot.img) for night elf rom
now i m not able to install rom
whn I install the rom Via CWM mode again my phn struck at starting point
what i hav done is , i hav copy the rom on my sdcard and restart the phone in CWN mode and install the rom by locating it but phn gets struck at logo point at the start
please guide

And don't mix GB and ICS kernel/rom. And do a wipe in CWM before installing rom.
Hi! i was installin the new rom update from 10.4.B.0.569 to 10.4.1.B.0.101 and now my phone is locked on Boot loop. a cannot access CWM it boots to sony logo over and over again. I have tried to do the power+volum up, and flash the FTF again. several times. can anny one plz help me. I'm about to give up and buy a new phone.

It helps us help you if you tell us what happens when you are trying to use the flashtool. Does the computer not see the phone? Can you just not get into flash mode? What guide are you using? hi,,,i donno where i went wrong on installing rom but i think my phone is either bricked or stucked in bootloop..
i was trying to install unzomi white ROM and in aroma i selected the last option my mistake.. "odexed" ROM for more speed..
after as it instructed i reboot the system from CWM but after dat its just showing sony and black screen and again sony logo only..
i tried using pcc but its saying sony dosnt have software available for my device :'(
i tried flashing the original .ftf too...but its still the same...its been 2 days since i tried everything...
guys plz help me to unbrick it .....

Download the flash tool and original ftf for your phone... and then flash everything excluding the final step verification in the flashtool.
Hope this helps because whenever my phone goes to bootloop i perform this on my xperia neo(I guess the flashtool for it supports xperia pro too!)
