Hi guys, I need help… after rooting my Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 7500 wifi & 3g its works alright but the display shakes when it comes back from standby to draw the security pattern. I have to restart the tab before having the display back, always make sure I keep the tap active and does not go to standby.
Your help will be appreciated
I have been looking for a solution to this since November 2013. I have exactly the same on a Galaxy Tab P7500, also after rooting. Is it maybe caused by the kernel? Or the recovery??
I have tried reverting back to a stock ROM without success. I am however not convinced that all system components have been replaced by going back to stock...
Any ideas, please?

It's a bootloader issue. You need to flash the correct bootloader with Odin. You can find it somewhere in the forums. I have it on my computer but I'm on the road at the moment so I can't give it.

Can you please share the relevant bootloader when you have the time? I will in the meantime see whether I can find it in the forums...

Thank you! I have tried it - the "rolling screen" is gone, BUT now I do not have WiFi access. Looking at Pershoot's comments, it seems that this bootloader is intended to be used with a CyanogenMod ROM only??

Never mind. I flashed a stock 4.0.4 (ICS) ROM, which fixed the WiFi issues. After that I updated the recovery to CWM (the one I know does not "screen roll" ) and flashed root. Had to manually clear data and cache of the GMail app, but after that everything was fine...

Since yesterday evening, being on the recent stock rom (not latest one; not upgrading automatically unfortunately), the screen gives a small dot/circle where-ever I touch the screen. So it is moving with me, e.g. when unlocking the screen, even when pressing a phone number. I have restarted a few times already. As said, I am on stock ROM, although I rooted my SG3. Any thoughts ?

I'm getting a problem where something is automatically turning on my wifi after a little while of sleeping in my pocket. Anyone else have this? Any method to see what is doing it?

Look through alot of threads on xda. There are alot of good suggestions on here. Some help some people and some help others. I myself have had this issue also. I've swapoed kernels, flashed back to stock, etc.etc. Right now i'm trying a free market app called fixr wifi fix and it seems to be working but only time will tell. If you try it and it helps just hit the thanks button.

Hi,
I have a Samsung s3 int I9300 and it can see a satellite but will not lock onto them and thus will not work with driving directions on google maps.
I have tested it side by side with an s2 and the s2 pics up a satellite quickly wile the s3 struggles to lock onto one.
My phone has been rooted and had Omega running on it but I have tried many different versions of firmware and also have done a full restore via odin and the 3 files.
It is connected to T-Mobile (EE) Uk and he internet is working perfectly.
Please can someone help me find out if it is a software of hardware error.
If you need any more info please ask and I will prove it straight away.
Thank you all :good:

try a different rom and/or kernel
HI,
I have just done a complete unroot and install using Odin. I am currently running a fresh I9300XXEMC2_I9300OXAEMC2_BTU but still no gps!
I am running a stock kernel and Rom so am I right in thinking it is not a software issue?
I do not have insurance but as it is a hardware issue could I get Samsung to repair it for free?
Is there anything else I could try?

Supposedly worked for a lot of people.
I have just tried this, I went as tight as I could but unfortunately still no luck. I left it by my Windows for an hour and no fixes.
My mates nexus fixed onto multiple satellites in seconds at the same spot.
Anything else I could try?

Gents (and ladies),
My phone is rooted, with vanilla 4.3 running. For a reason beyond my level of comprehension, apps are not recognizing the phone as having been rotted (with the exception of Notification Toggle).
I've got some screenshots attached showing the problems I'm encountering, which I'm hoping can get us started on working toward a solution.
If there's any other info you need from me, please let me know.
Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you so much in advance.
This may not even be your case but l know on the note 4.3 roms we had to go in developer options and make sure root access was set to apps and adb for root to function properly hope that helps you with your delima bro.

Also flashing the latest superSU zip may help if that doesn't work.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Heard of this happening on a few other posts... Most were solved by installing the latest version of superSU, like the guy above me says ^^ .
Would definitely start there and come back with the results.
Mods please move this if necessary
Guys, I have to post this in hopes it will help others.
If you still have this device and had the problem where it reboots once it boots and have no imei and baseband, i solved it. finally!
I tried everything, EVERYTHING initially. i opened the device more times than i can remember. I changed the power button, gave it a chemical bath, removed the sim holder, adjusted every adjustable aspect of it but nothing. this started when i flashed some rom (cant remember which one), and it started rebooting as soon as the os loaded. not a random reboot but as soon as the os loaded, no matter what rom i flashed. thats when i tried all of the posted solutions on the power button issues of this phone. nothing worked. Then when i finally got a stock odin to work, i noticed i had baseband unknown and imei unknown and therefore no sim functions. i began researching and i did everything from flashing every available modem, to flashing all stock roms with odin and with keis, to that trick of forcing an iemi and adding some folder that may have been deleted. i even looked to order the sim holder that people recommended but i never bothered (thankfully) as many said it didnt work. I eventually was advised that my ONLY solution was to jtag it. i almost ordered devices like nspro etc, but alas, i gave up finally and just used it as a tablet with a rudimentary os (the only one that didnt reboot on me ) with abysmal battery life (3 to 4 hours on standby) until i finally left it in a drawer and forgot it for most of the year. Fast forward to yesterday. ill spare the details of why i had to, but basically i took back the challenge to get it working, believing that it was a software problem that i could solve with the help of xda's resources. and after a sleepless night and much research and trials, i finally have a fully working i717 with insane battery life (2% lost on standby overnight). so here's what i did. I used odin to flash this rom (email me for the link, i dont want to break any forum rules) and once it was done, the os began to boot but it stuck on the loading screen. this was actually good news since it wasnt rebooting! i left it for an hour just in case and eventually forced the shut down by holding power button (didnt remove the battery). then i booted into download and used odin to flash cwm recovery (latest one, search for an app to convert the img file to a md5 that odin can use). i booted into recovery and once there i downloaded the miui v5 rom in the development section of this forum, (i chose miui because initially it was the only other rom that didnt reboot, but i SUSPECT that the others should be fine now once i flashed the odin rom) and once it installed and booted, voila! cell reception and i can make and receive calls!. Everything is working perfectly now!! thank God. I left it on miui because i like it and it works as is, but i suppose the other roms like the 4.4 roms should, in theory, work now. in the link i have there is the rom AND a modem as well, i did NOT flash the modem as i didnt need to so you shouldnt have to either. Thanks for reading, and i sincerely hope that i could help someone out with this post. thanks to xda and the contributors who helped me through this ordeal!
Sincerely,
My phone rebooted 3 times while trying to read this. I wasn't sure if you were actually offering help or trying to sell us some new sports bra.
If you have some miracle files then post the link. Why make this an egg hunt? I'm sure the forum would appreciate it.

No need to be rude mate. And its not an 'egg hunt' if you read it you would see that i didnt want to break any forum rules by posting links without permission since i cant contact the owner of the site with the links. I didnt have to post anything atall and i asked for no gratitude in return but a little civility goes a long way.
I read this and thought xda became a blog site!

Follow his initial post and do what he did. He flashed miui rom after he used Odin. Flash a custom recovery. Either cwm or twrp.
