Hey there!
Would be interested as well...
I managed to root with Kingo Root, see my post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...-device-resort-uncommon-t2944584#post56873878
That's quite amazing, since the S57D is a MTK6582 device and as such can profit a lot from GravityBox...
Cheers!

Hi there!
I am Switel s57d owner too. I also get a root via Kingo root. But in my case, my win7 install drivers correct, and phone was detected as YunOS phone. (with YunOs ACB interface driver)

Root it with the help of framaroot app.
IN it select superuser and press gandalf...then you will get a popup...telling that it is succesful...then reboot it And your mob is rooted..
I tried framaroot, but I need something that goes on Broadcom BCM 23550 and correlated with Bug 8219321, 9695860, 9950697 is not fixed. It is a new combination based on Broadcom. It seems that the Broadcom chip applications not root.I applied to ask you if you met other troubleshooting. Thanks all!

Custom Rom for Pocketbook Surfpad 3 10.1

Hi Everyone,
I recently acquired a new tablet - the Pocketbook Surfpad 3 10.1 inch model.
Specifications:
CPU: MediaTek MT8389 (quadcore 1.2ghz, cortex-a7)
RAM: 1GB
HDD: 16GB
GPU: PowerVR SGX 544MP
Screen: IPS, 10.1 inch, 5-point touchscreen, 1280x800 resolution
Android: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.5.6
What I need:
- updated libraries
- zipaligned
- deodexed
- removed bloatware
- updated camera app
- added i/o schedulers, cpu governor, KSM?
If somebody has the skills and this model, I can give you a working root and recovery.

I recently acquired the same tablet and I would really appreciate if you could share how you did the root at least.
I've tried with frameroot and towelroot but it didn't work. Previously I used different methods on my phones, but after one bricked device I'm a little afraid to hook it up to the PC without being sure if it's gonna work ok.
Android version: 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.4.67

I couldn't wait (as usual) and at the end I found Kingo Android Root Method quite useful. It took a lot of rebooting but in 10-15mins my tablet was rooted.
Off topic: Reason to root this time - KitKat SD Card lack of permissions. Root > SDFix (from PlayStore) > Fixed!

Correct root access to install Google Play on ALPS P7000 Octa-core MT6735

Hello Everybody,
I have this phone ALPS P7000 that have a octa-core processor MT6735 and it's a Android 64bits (5.5", 4G RAM and 32Go internal espace).
This is the software informations:
Android 5.1
SDK LEVEL: 22
CPU ABI: ARM64-V8A
KERNEL: Linux version 3.10.65
Version: #3 SMP PREEMPT
OS Release : 3.10.65
My problem is I do not have the Google Play on it, I tryed to install it (with aptoid and installing the direct APK file) and it crash all the time, i cleared it's cache and all the application preferences...
I think that I had to root the phone and make a backup of the rom and then install the GAPPS applications.
Some one have the right root to use for this kind of rom or hardware (chiness phone) ? Or someone have a another solution for me?
I'm waiting for your reply
Thanks in advance
I tryed all this application and i'm still do not have the root access:
KingoRoot
iRoot
and RootGenius (2.2.6)
Any help will be appreciated !
You will have to wait til you can root kernial 3.10.65 or you can try and do a custom root
Hi,
Thank you for your reply,
How can I try to do a custom root (or when I can see the kernial 3.10.65 root release) ?
Thank you in advance

When i got that phone i think i used kingroot and it rooted fine. Then from somewhere i downloaded gapps for correct android version and it was ok.
There is a rom on needrom website p7000_plus. It says it was android 5 but is not its 4.4.2. Had to get some program from chinese website to load scatterfile. This was a few months ago tho and cant remember exactly.
