[Q] Fix soft brick on ZTE Warp 4G? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

A little while ago I was reading about how to install a custom bootloader using Rom toolbox. Rom toolbox comes with a list of bootloaders that others have made, I went ahead and installed it, and rebooted my Warp. As it was loading, I noticed that the loader was not the resolution of my phone, so after the phone loaded i went ahead and fixed the resolution with an option that pops up. After I modified it to my screen resolution, I previewed it to make sure it looked alright, and it looked great, full screen and all! So I then went ahead and reset my phone after just making the loader big enough for my resolution, and to my surprise, it ended up just giveing me an endless black screen... I can boot into recovery, but I don't exactly want to Factory reset and loose all my stuff. Is there any way to undo the filechange, or something without loosing all my stuff?
P.S. I don't have CWM

[Q] Yup...yet another boot loop!

OK. I have had my Atrix 4G since it first came out. I rooted it and installed apps and made customizations to it, etc.
I never installed a custom ROM since the tweaks I made fit my taste enough to not need to install a custom ROM. I have thought of it...but that is for another time.
Anyways, I recently changed fonts on using FontChanger and everything was working fine. However, last night I decided to change to another font and after rebooting my phone, I am now stuck in the ever so pleasant "Boot Loop".
I have tried wiping and restoring back to factory defaults, which appeared to work, but once I start going thru the process of setting up the phone and getting to the "home" page, the phone will suddenly automatically reboot and start to loop again. I can perform a reset which allows me to go thru the setup process again, but it suddenly reboots again after a few minutes.
I am guessing that perhaps the font is still causing problems, but I am not sure how to check to see if that is the case or not.
I have looked at other boot loop threads but I keep getting a bit confused as to what I should attempt or not attempt to do. It seemed to me that loading the 1.2.6 SBF might be my answer, but I have read that I could brick my phone doing that. Not to mention that some of the download links are dead....
Sorry for being yet another numbnutz and the long thread, but I would greatly appreciate some guidance on how to recover!
Thanks!
Ok... So after resetting my phone a few times I noticed that it goes into the boot loop cycle once the screen shuts off/or goes into sleep mode. If I keep the system from going to sleep everything appears to work fine.
My guess is still a font issue, but I thought a factory reset would've replaced the font back to default.
Anyone experience this issue or something similar to it?
And as a second thought can someone link me to the default fonts that I can try to reload?
UPDATE: well it looks like i am good to go again. It just occured to me that I can just download and use FontChanger to replace the bad font with the stock font. i let me phone go to standby mode and it didnt boot loop.

[Q] Possibly Bricked Phone? LG G2 Verizon

Hi everybody I am quite new to Android and might have bricked my phone, this is my current situation:
Was on Verizon's 24a stock rom and deiced to alter the DPI, something I have done before
I did not like the change and set the DPI back to the normal 480 that it came with
When rebooting the LG logo is flashed and then nothing just a black screen, however the notification light was changing colors as normal
I left the phone to boot for a while (about an hour) and still nothing has happened
I can get into download mode but have no custom recovery (regret)
I tried factory resting the phone through holding the buttons on the back to get to a menu then selecting factory reset but nothing happens
I feel I have tried everything please help

You're going to need to restore the phone to stock. A factory reset would not affect the build.prop since it's part of /system and not /data.

[Q] rooted ME7 stuck at verizon boot screen, what next?

So I've seen this question covered a few times but not sure if my situation is the same as the ones that have been answered prior.
I have a 1-1/2 year old S4 that I rooted when I received it, using whatever flavor of the day rooting method was out there. I have never used any kind of custom firmware with this device, just rooted and disabled some of the built in features like jedi hand wave mode, follow my eyes, etc. (yeah I know those aren't the real names)
Over the past few days I've been noticing apps not being able to open, the screen would go black for a second like the app was launching and then it would return to the home screen. Also a few times the notification bar would flicker while trying to open an app. So I decided to reboot today and now it is stuck at the verizon boot screen.
I've tried all of these options:
Pull battery for 30 sec, remove and replace sim card, replace battery boot.
go into recovery mode and wipe cache
go into recovery and do factory reset
Of course none of these options worked, which is why this thread exists.
now the next option I'm seeing when I'm looking for an answer is either
replace/update the firmware
return to verizon
I guess I'm wondering if the first option is even available to me since I never flashed anything custom before? If it is, I'm sure there's a wonderful thread here that would walk me through the process, if anyone would be so kind as to point me there. I'm just a little confused over what's available in my particular flavor of firmware.
Or, is there a verizon flavor that I could update to and be able to root as well? I remember when I originally rooted it was suggested to keep the older version so you wouldn't get locked in to not being able to do any custom stuff, but not sure if that's been overcome since. I don't need anything fancy, just a rooted phone works for me.
If updating is not an available option for me, is a verizon return my next step? And if so, can/should I remove signs of rooting before sending it in?

Screen is completely black unless screen is rotated sideways

So I'm having this issue with my phone after screwing up my ROM, it's not a hardware issue. What I did to mess up my phone is I installed a custom boot up animation to replace my default AT&T one, and after that my screen is now completely black unless you rotate it sideways. I've tried factory hard resetting it, but still no luck...I lost my root and I still cannot see the left half of my screen.
I do not have my bootloader unlocked and now I don't even have root access...Factory hard resetting the phone did no good. The only time you can see the whole screen is when you first boot up the phone and when you shut down the phone when the shut down animation is active.
I'm guessing I need to completely reinstall my ROM, but I don't know how without being able to see the left half of my screen.
I'm using an LG Optimus G Pro E980, any help is appreciated, thanks!
I fixed it...All I had to do was download a .TOT and a .kdz file of my device firmware to my PC and flash the firmware on to my phone using download mode.
