Help stuck TWRP screen - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

i was trying to install the Dirty unicorn rom onto my phone, but i did one of the installation steps wrong, i flashed both the rom and gapps at the same time when it said to first reboot rom and afterwards install gapps. Anyways, now i have a bootloop. I was trying to go back into the recovery mode to do the whole installation all over but i for some reason the Teamwin logo appears for about 3 seconds and the phone restarts. Can someone please help me i need my phone :/
Information about my phone: S-off
hboot 2.10
was running twrp 2.7.0.0.b

As the screen goes black hold the volume down button. This will get you to the bootloader screen, and from there you can go to recovery.

I know you stated you were s-off but is your bootloader relocked because of the ruu? If so you could try placing the recovery into a zip folder named "PJ75IMG.zip"

Bootloop problems

Hi, I was running Meanrom 36 s-off....everything was great! Then I flashed Paranoid Androids boot.img with Flash Gui and rebooted (intending to do the ROM next). It now reboots to the Meanrom screen and stops. Won't boot into recovery and wont mount. Any way to just get back to Meanrom???

Hboot 1.12.2222

If you have s-off then there is no real need for flashgui, just flash from recovery
Why are you using the kernel workarounds with S-OFF? Just flash the ROMS normally.
Also, this is why people shouldnt use flash image GUI unless they already know how to do it manually from fastboot. Because if something goes wrong they are screwed
these threads are starting to remind me of that time my neighbor gave his son a box of matches....
I didn't realize that when I began. Its been awhile since I've done this and i suck. Cant reboot into recovery now, just reboots normally then gets stuck on the Meanrom boot screen. Matches? I think I've been handed C4!
okay well the most basic BASIC solution would be to try and restore a nandroid backup, you're s-off so thats not a problem, otherwise boot recovery, use a wipe script and install a rom. After you get the phone going again, never ever touch anything like flash gui again, learn basic adb, read up on the features your recovery offers, learn to trouble shoot your phone using adb tools, from within recovery, just by using the rom, or hell check out the irc channels and watch the devs troubleshoot problems themselves. some of them are more then willing to help if they have the time to do so
How can I restore the backup if I can only boot into bootloader? I completely agree. Hell I don't even want to flash another ROM again! I loved Meanrom....

You should be able to boot into the bootloader. Power down the phone by pressing the power button and volume down key for about 15 seconds. The phone will power off and then press and hold down the volume down button and press the power button at the same time for about 5 seconds. Continue to hold the volume key and your bootloader should load. You should then select fastboot and then reboot recovery or recovery can't remember which it shows. The phone will power off and power back on and should boot int recovery. Then you can nandroid provided you nandroid before you flashed the Rom. If you didn't then just flash the Rom again no need to wipe anything Mean Rom wipes davlik already. Then once the Rom is done flashing you should be good.

yes, I can reboot into bootloader. When I select recovery it just reboots normally and then gets stuck on the Meanrom boot screen. Never opens recovery
I guess that means you need to fastboot recovery
edit: sorry if it seems I left you hanging, in my area wimax is the only means of internet and to top it off im in a spot that struggles to get wimax despite the fact that all around the outside of my house I can perfect signal

Reflash the recovery. You can download it from twrp website...the lastest version you should be able to flash recovery via fastboot using
Fastboot flash recovery (recovery file name)
The direction are on the twrp website. The lastest version is 2.2.2.0 .
Flash thay and then reboot the bootloader and then fastboot
Fastboot reboot recovery
It should then load into recovery

[SOLVED]Can't boot into recovery

Just got the phone, unlocked through HTCDev, installed recovery through Toolkit, but can't actually boot into recovery. I tried all of the recoveries available (TWRP, CWM, CWM Touch) but once I select reboot into recovery, it reboots, gets to the HTC logo screen, something appears on the top edge of the screen, it reboots and boots normally. Did I do something wrong?

I just tried flashing TWRP manually (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) and it still does the same. I renamed the img file to recovery.img, so it's not that.
Try redownloading the file from the url above. Maybe it was a bad file download?
Also try different micro usb cables and usb ports. Reinstall the drivers just things like that

reason I asked was maybe there is a bug when selecting reboot into recovery thought it was worth a try to enter it a different way
Fixed it by selecting "Factory Reset" in the bootloader menu--went straight to recovery.
I had the same problem and was able to resolve it by turning off fast boot in the power settings screen.
Im having the same issue with every recovery I flash. Obviously im not a noob and can flash stuff. Im just boggled because everybody is reporting flashing internation stuff just fine. The recoveries don't work for me. Can someone direct link me to the recovery they flashed on their att version?

my nephew was having the same issue as well and never got it boot to recovery. while i was troubleshooting, i discovered he was using the recovery for the Sprint version. ugh!!! i got the international version and manually flashed it (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, fastboot reboot-bootloader) and then tried to enter recovery with no success. I rebooted to bootloader again, selected factory reset, and the phone rebooted normally. tried the adb reboot recovery command, phone reboots, i see a window flash in the background with red writing at the bottom, and then it boots normally. i've done this 5 times with no luck. any suggestions?

I have tried all of these methods. I have flashed the recovery, all of them, repeatedly and my phone will only show unlocked. I have used the All in One as well as manually flashing the recovery as well. but my phone never switches to *TAMPERED*. Any advice?
I had this happen on my other One tonight. I had flashed the recovery via fastboot about 15 times and it wasn't working until I let it reboot to OS and then I adb reboot bootloader and magically it showed TAMPERED. Just keep doing the steps over and over again and eventually it'll work. After it finally took TWRP I was able to change it for CWM Touch with no issues.
Disabling HTC Fast boot did it for me!

[Q] HTC one X+ bootloop

i just got an htc one x+ and i installed chainfire 3d on it and installed the driver within
the device restarted and went into a bootloop
now i dont know what to do specially since i just got this and dont even know how to access the bootloader while in this bootloop
i managed to get into the recovery once that was cwm
i tried a wipe data/factory reset and its still in a bootloop
can anyone help me on this one?
Have you flashed the kernel? Usually when a kernel is not flashed and you installed a custom os, the phone will be stuck on the HTC screen with the white background.
To go into the bootloader you press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds (the phone will restart) press and hold the volume down button right away. And then you get a white screen with an android dude on a skateboard. You're now in bootloader

It does say in the chainfire FAQ, you should take a backup incase of bootloop. There is not much need to use chainfire on tegra II. Its for older devices Just format /system/ and start again

Before your battery dies, try flashing CWM manually (fastboot flash recovery xxxx.img) also do a (fastboot erase cache) before and after flashing, see if that works. There are threads from the early days of the HOX+ with people & charging issues with recovery. Do a search for thoes, maybe one can help you get your device charged.

[Q] Bootloader Relocked, Help!!! TaMPERED

I Unlock the bootloader following this method youtube-com/watch?v=iyRxI15CUnA&feature=youtu.be (HTC Dev Bootloader Unlock) ... went good, them i rooted following this youtube-com/watch?v=Y7-dAlaJL2I and install TWRP 2.6 , all good, but when i try to flash CM 10 ROM only get the boot up screen (fancy circle and CM logo) them i decided to get back my official sense rom (JB 4.1.1 sense 4.x) but Says ''you dont have OS installed'' (factory reset/erase cache/dalvic cache/system) i tried other ROM but nothing happens only boot up screen, son I contact the developer ''QBKING77'' he told me that follow his video to relock the bootloader youtube-com/watch?v=5yS7yy4XVA4 and i did it... Now My Phone Is Useless because i dont have rom installed and i cant re-unlock the boot loader to enter in recovery to try another ROM. What Can I Do, Please Help!!!
You need to unlock your bootloader again and make sure you have a working recovery installed.
You're S-on so you have to flash the kernel separately from the ROM. You need to get up and running, though, so download MeanBean ROM and flash it from recovery. You can connect your phone and computer together and boot into recovery and mount either internal or external storage and transfer the ROM zip to your phone. Do a full wipe in recovery, then flash the MeanBean zip and reboot. The phone will boot to the splash screen then back to recovery. Flash the MeanBean zip again and reboot. You should be good to go then.
Also take a look at the link in my sig. My guide contains some useful info. I recommend gaining S-off as soon as possible. Any more issues, shoot me a PM or reply in this thread.

Follow my instructions from my first post and install MeanBean ROM. It's in the Development thread.
MeanBean has a kernel installer built in to facilitate flashing the ROM while you're S-on. You can also fastboot flash the kernel but there is a little more work involved in doing it, and right now you just want to get your phone up and running. You did flash a custom recovery to your phone, correct?

Evo 3d gsm bootloop after successful ruu.exe

Hi guys. I have a really weird problem especially cause I have successfully done ruu.exe many times without any problems. But now my evo won't boot even after ruu.exe finished succeffully, have tried multiple times. Just to mention that months before I did this ruu, I've installed a custom kernel "MiRaGe" and everything was good, till a couple days ago when I tried to boot into 4ext recovery and it didn't boot at all, tried 3-4 times, no luck, but the rom was working fine. (I haven't tried to boot to 4ext since installing a custom kernel) Now I relocked my phone to install ruu.exe, it finished successfully, but can't boot now. I have also unlocked bootloader again and have flashed recovery and still couldn't boot to recovery. Then I relocked and did ruu.exe again, but still no luck with booting to rom. Also I've tried factory reset in bootloader after finishig ruu.exe and the same thing.

Try 4ext recovery, fastboot install recovery 4extimg.img and after that reboot into recovery. If it enters recovery install a close to stock ics rom, with 4ext smart flash enabled or extract the boot.img from the rom and install it through fastboot (fastboot install boot boot.img).
I can provide you the latest 4ext recovery img, pm me if you need it.

Already did that with 4ext and cwm but none of them won't boot to recovery, but for the rom, i did ruu.exe after flashing recovery (that won't boot) and after relocking, then I unocked bootloader and flashed boot.img from the same ruu.zip, but no results, bootlooping. I think nothing can be done, it's a brick.

You flashed the ruu with the exe though windows or through sdcard? Did you try to remove the sdcard? Try fastboot wipe or format recovery before installing the new img.
