Hello I have a big issue with my galaxy ace s5830i i have stock rom never rooted or flashed , when i don't put a SIM card on it and use it just to play games or browse internet it work fine , but when i put a SIM card on it and after receiving a Call or Sms the Screen won't shut off automaticly also during phone calls it has some weird behaviour the screen keep turnning off an on and locking itself and i cant do anything to stop it unless i remove the battery ,Im out of solution and can't seem to fix this issue , thanks in advance

Just go to setting>call setting>additional > turn off proximitery sensor..

this has been happening quite often now. half way thru the call conversation after i took the call the phone would cut the call out and start rebooting itself. i have changed the sd card to a fast card with big memory. is there any thing easy i can do to fix it? would resetting the phone help?

r u sing a custom rom or a2sd or somthing it seems to be a prob wth the flash rom
Only if u are on stock rom.
Try this just remove your sdcard for one day and use ur phone. If it doesn't reboot than ur sdcard may be still b the culprit. If this doesn't solve ur problem shutdown ur phone press and hold volume down + home + power button. Ur phone will hard reset so all ur downloaded apps and contacts and msg everything will clear so better take backup of those.
I did that when I was on stock rom it solved my problem. Also check does ur button led flashes when phone restarts than some app which u have installed may cause that problem like call recorder or full screen caller id. U can uninstall them to check if it solves ur problem.

u sure it's i the right order with vol down + home + power?
i got the power off/plan mode menu after i did that.
I did the reset successfully. I didn't realized I need to turn the phone off first.
Did it solve your problem.

I am not looking for a call recorder. Just a voice recorder which does both. I tried almost all of the popular ones on the market but the phone shuts down a lil while after the screen goes off. I finally found Andrecorder which didn't show that problem. But all the good ones with better features like Total recall, Ultimate recorder, etc did.
So randomly I'll be using my phone, and then all vibrations won't work. Haptic Feedback doesn't work, not even the vibration alert for texts but when i hit back of the phone or quick shake or lock the phone and wait for about 2 min it will works fine again !!?

Sounds like a hardware issue, get your phone fixed/exchanged.
i dont know This problem arose after I installed CM7 when i went back to the aura What happens if I dont fix it ?

Hello .. i have a Bell Galaxy note SGH-i717 rooted with CWM beta 4 and something happened that i find weird ...
I had my phone with my bluetooth looking to be ok and i took it in my hand, put some music to play and went away with an ear bud and the other side my bluetooth.
All the way home i found it weird that my girlfriend did not call me, when i was home she gave me a big pile of ... because i did not answer my calls .. when i said i did not receive any she tried again just beside me and i had good signal and it was telling her that the subscriber cannot receive calls .. ???
I had to power off completely my phone and then back on to be able to receive calls.
Could it be my bluetooth that bugged the call portion of my cell ?
If anybody got any idea of what it could be ? ...

Are u running a auto task killer or memory manager, like autokiller memory optimizer? If its set to aggressive this will happen. I had the same happen, where the signal strength is was a o with a line through it. Uninstall task\memory managers....
Thanks I'm gonna try. ... The only thing I have now around that would be cpu tuner. ..

I have been using my S2 since the beginning of February 2012 and have not noticed at any time other than when making calls that the proximity sensor was activated (dull red glow). Just last night I noticed that the sensor seems to be activated all the time now, screen on, calling, whatever...
It of course turns off when the S2 is turned off. When booting back up it does not get enabled again until the end of media scanning.
Any ideas how to check which app or process is enabling this when it is not necessary nor wanted?
Shameless bump. Surely somebody has an idea what variable is involved or what program I can use to change the behavior?
Try after a fresh install with full wipe if it happens

I had a similar problem and I found out it was an app causing that - viber.

New viber update today and the issue is fixed

i have galaxy s2 . i have installes wanamlite ics stock rom...everything except the phone works gr8. whenever i try to make a call my phone freezes or reboots after 10-20 seconds in to the call. more over my proximity sensor is acting crazy.
when i put the phone near my face during a call the phone screen shuts but does not turn on when i movemy phone away from my face...please help

hi, try to redownload and reinstall the rom,
bad downloads sometimes results to a corrupted file,
and install the rom after full wipe, but backup first...

It doesn't sound that great to me. If a reflash didn't work, why don't you try an different rom. Just to rule out a rom error.

I have the same problem as mlovesu...I have done a complete wipe everytime i flashed a new ROM..also tried different kernels(siyah 3.2.2 tried latest)...
now have gone back to stock firmware XXLPH and rooted again..the dialer works for now but the proximity sensor still doesnt along with the screen brightness sensor..
any help pls guys...have been doin everything possible for a week now...i dont think its a hardware error as the proximity sensor does light up(the infrared light) but not on calls...have tried the samsung tests for sensor..but that seems to not show any change in values if u move ur hand closer..

I have no problem for calling action.
Enter in clorkworkmod and try fix permission
