[Q] Help! Annoying date - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so I have touch wiz resurrected 1.0 on my 5830i right, now I tried placing the clock on the status bar. Again it doesn't show the word "Wednesday" it just says "6" and the time. What's worse is when I downloaded UCCW, it's a widget app. Same thing even the dates would show numbers instead of words. How do I customize, fix, whatever this? Help?

Problem with Adwlauncher Ex

I'm running stock GB update with no moods, unrooted. It seems as though ADW is having some glitches with my quick contacts. I have 8 of them set up on a homescreen in their smallest form 1x1. Sometimes when I run an app or the phone goes to sleep, when I look at the screen again the contacts icons are slightly enlarged with a grey bar along the bottom with two dark grey thumbnail like buttons. When I press the contact, instead of quick dialing like I have them set for, it brings up the copntact menu for text, email, or call. Anyone having this issue or know what the cause may be? Any help appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this is the wrong section since this is an app, not atrix specific

[Q] A way to list apps which have an icon at right of taskbar?

Hi,
Is there a way to list/know which application or service has put an icon in the right of the taskbar, with Froyo?
I've installed two apps related to network speed; then I realized I had a new icon at the right of my taskbar, so I uninstalled both apps... the "new" icon is still there!
So I'd like to know which app or service exactly owns this icon. It's a small cellphone with a wavy line at each side, and it appears at the right of the "wifi" icon.
Thanks for any help!
N.B.: My Galaxy Tab P1010 is rooted but has the stock ROM.
Edit : I just found the answer, it appears to be the icon for the "silent mode", which I had turned on by accident - and never had "on" before.

something I did

Some weird over lapping on the main screen. Where it says just type its also saying make it so. There overlapping each other. On the botton where the messenger icon is there is a pandora icon behind it. Where the picture icon is there is tunein radio icon behind it. Do u know how to fix this?
I might had figured it out im restarting now. I was looking at what I installed and thought it was a add icons to home screen but after I uninstalled it they are still there
heres something funny it could be just the background picture im using

[Q] Any other way to get to the alarm?

Hi,
I am fairly new to Android 4.1, I once had a 2.3 device with HTC sense and thought it was horrible. I changed to WP 7.5 which I love, but somehow got bored with it. Now playing with my Gnex, I notice that it's quite cumbersome to get to the clock alarm settings? I would either have to use a widget or put the clock icon on a homescreen. I think it would be great if the pull-down menu had a shortcut to the alarm settings, by tapping on the time/date at the top. Would also be great if the same thing with different function would be implemented for the battery icon, showing a percentage... currently I use a third party app to show % in the taskbar up top. (even Symbian can do this).
Does google have a site for feature suggestions like this?

LockScreen Mulitple Widgets on 1 screen

I know how to set up widgets, i have mail, text and gmail. The problem i am having is that when i get a new text message or missed call, it defaults to the stock 1st lock screen where it says "1 Messaging" "1 Missed Call".. Both without details. I would like to know how to get a Gmail and Messaging widget on the first lock screen to see what the message says and what my new Gmail message reads or missed calls, etc.
i can not figure out how to get more that 1 widget on each screen. Also how to remove the default "1 Messaging" notification screen.. Make sense?
It is my understanding that you can only have one widget per screen

With the default lockscreen you can only have one widget at a time. You can get around this by installing another lockscreen app like WidgetLocker Lockscreen.
You could also use DashClock which gives better information than the default lockscreen clock. To see more info you just swipe down and there it is.
To get that working on the default lock screen you need install DashClock and then go in to Settings/MyDevice/Lock screen and click on Multiple widgets. Now go back to the lock screen and pull down and then scroll to the left to the big plus sign. Tap on that and choose DashClock. It will now appear on your lock screen. Setup the notification that you want via DashClock. Now remove the original widget by tapping and holding on it and then drag it up to the garbage can.
Hope this helps you.

Even though you can setup Dashclock this way, it still hides almost all the information until you pull back down again to the screen edit mode.
The stock touch wiz lockscreen sucks. Widgets are clumsy if you use security. The app based lockscreens are all too buggy. Maybe someone will get the AOSP lockscreen working.
