Do you want to remove or disable it? For disabling you have an option under settings/Security.
He wants to remove the string. The "swipe to unlock" sentence. I'd like to do that too.

Yes. Disable the string.
I think there are a few Xposed modules that allows for this. For example, you can try this one:

Thanks for that. I've been in this settings so many times and keep missing. I find the lock screen so annoying..

What a miracle: a restart solved the problem, and now the notifications pops up on my Quick Circle area, over the clock.

hey guys!
I rooted me S6 edge and I tried to screen mirror to my Samsung TV which worked prior to rooting. I remember having this issue with my S5 and I just went and got the MHL cord. Unfortunately it does not work with the S6 as it does not fit.
Is there a solution to this yet or to early to tell?
How are you even getting to the screen mirror settings? I tried to link this to my Samsung TV but I am not seeing the option on the phone.

Pull down the notification menu by swiping down from the top. Tap on 'EDIT' near the top right. Drag the "Screen Mirroring" icon to the top half of the screen. Tap 'DONE'. Now, "Screen Mirroring" will appear in your quick settings panel in the notification menu.

I'm having the exact same problem. Have you tried adding 'wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable' to your build.prop? I haven't gotten a chance to try it - but that's the fix on a lot of other Samsung devices.

I just tried the option that doesn't stick between reboots and screen mirroring is now working just fine on my rooted Galaxy S6.
I'll edit the /system/build.prop file later - and hopefully, that'll fix the issue permanently.

hey brotha man, any luck with that patch? I was looking around to but I haven't found anything yet. I guess I might have to buy a new MHL cable. the one for the S5 doesn't fit... :crying:
Try this solution.
It fixes both screen mirror and key light problem.

So. On 5.1.1 that was easy, because after long press home button we could choose what happens when you did it On 6.0.1 this option no longer exists, so my question is, how to set it? Im on G920F

You might want to follow trick above.
Set greenify as your assistant default app
6.0.1, stock ROM, no mod or root
I have tried this several times. Customize the button orders but later I will find it's back to default again. Initially I thought it's just after restart. It turns out that it will revert after a while (half hour or so), whether I reboot or now.
Any way to make it stick?
Thanks

Last night I updated to the latest firmware GPG2 and now customization sticks. Looks like they fixed it.
Yeah, been 6 hours since I changed it. Still there... Survived reboot as well.
It reverted to default overnight.
I tried using this database editor, which DOES find the correct values for MM's quicksettings toggles.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66720889&postcount=6054
But every time I try to save the value changes, it freezes and shuts down. Any ideas?
Not sure what is going on here. I'm not getting notification badges on app icons. I've set the apps (Facebook and Words with Friends) to show notifications. I've made sure that the apps aren't being restricted by the battery optimization and set them so that they are not allowed to sleep and still nothing. Not sure what to do at this point. I've gone into Settings/Apps/Special Access/Optimize Battery Usage/All Apps and turned OFF the battery optimization. Nothing seems to work.. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am also in this boat. No app badges for any app other than stock messages. Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger.
It's situations like this that sometimes make me wish that I were using IOS instead of the Android/Samsung with its numerous levels of complexity. BAH!

What kinds of things have you tried? Do you think that it is a bug or some weird setting somewhere which is preventing apps from pushing notifications?

I'm just a casual user and don't really understand half of what you just said. But I'm guessing that if you can't figure it out that is must be some sort of a bug, not user error on my part. Hopefully someone will respond and help us both out.

See the pictures attached I seem to of found a fix for mine.
Click the app icon badges under the notification settings. Double check it all looks like my photos if it does. Then turn the sliders off at the bottom then wait a few seconds turn the main slider off at the top. Leave all off, restart the phone then turn them all back on in reverse order.

When you say "turn off the sliders at the bottom" do you mean each individual app slider? Then turn all off on the top "master" switch and then restart?

Yes turn them off individually wait a few seconds between each. Wait another few seconds then turn off the master switch. Restart the phone and turn them all back on starting with the master switch etc.

Maybe the smart switch has carried over a bug from the settings back up. The only thing I can suggest is back your phone up to smart switch on a PC try starting like you had no back up. If that works just transfer across the important things you need and can't download and don't transfer the settings.
