Any developers work that you used to make the ROM needs to be credited for the work used. So if you used any of @kuronosan build.prop, you need to say so, same goes with any other developers work you used. You are also supposed to ask permission to use another developer's work as well.
Here's an example;
Credits:
djrbliss (Motochopper Exploit) actually didn't need it seeing the firmware is unsecured but still used the script as a template
Koush (Universal ADB Drivers)
BSDgeek_Jake (hosts list)
Adam Outler (Casual)
Dees Troy (TWRP & Settings)

im not new to this. the rom not even uploaded. how u know if im using others work? do i need to ask Google & MediaTek permission before deodexing the rom?
■ monxDIFIED

Then I am mistaken and beg your forgiveness as all development on the TrueSmart starts with you.

im not starting a development. im just customizing stock rom. y so serious. seriously?
■ monxDIFIED

Because a very small group of people put a crap load of time and effort into detailed security checks, optimizations, fixes, compiling TWRP, testing, working directly with Omate, further testing, pulling from multiple sources outside of Omate to get working HW, supporting other developers, providing tech support to both end users and Omate.

ofcos im aware bout it. TWRP is a well known recovery frm well known dev Ethan. im not putting it in this rom but i did in my bunch of Xperia roms & he nvr ask for credits. i dn und xda behavior nowadays. my thread was in dev section which only got fckin few threads. i dn see any benefit to move it in general then revert back when rom is uploaded. maybe i need to list down who invented rubber to put in credits list. the strap is made from rubber.

Yeah you might wanna stick your parents or guardians in the credits too. I guess you must have gotten that attitude from them?

lol. easy guys. easy...

You mentioned EnSec but not its creator.

I happen to live in the same city as him, and he would most definitely appreciate credit. It just so happens I designed the Wear UI for the Omate TWRP while he compiled the code and had me test it (several, several times).
If you compiled it yourself, you still need to source GPL and TeamWin's github for each device. Since you did not, I'll call you on B.S. right here.
P.S. Don't be rude.

easy guys easy. im not a noob
EnSec is enhanced security? no?. the term ppl using here. if i say EncyScopitus ppl will understand? EnSec copyrighted?
nvm if all of u againts me. im losing nothing actually this thread is UNFINISHED yet but ppl start accusing me not giving proper credits? cmon guys.. im not a bad guy
i just finish porting the most important thing. full functions settings panel with smart mode & accessibility service :victory:
if im not welcome here, i will just use my rom for my own & mod can close/delete this thread. i dont mind

There's no need to be defensive with me. You're not listing what firmware is based on, where people can view your changes, etc.
I never called you a bad person. I'll be inclined to think that, however, if you keep threatening to not release your work.
Either release it or don't. I've been on xda for close to nine years and I've never seen a developer act the way you are acting about their own work.
What did you port from?
What untold tweaks?
What units will this work on?
These are questions people are going to ask.

u kno wat, my xda RD title is revoked until Oct. seriously wtf. lol. im not threatening. dn misund. ive been here for ages & seen millions ppl attitude & behaviors. like i said, im not a noob nor a rude person. is just no need so formal like in palace.
my firmware is ALWAYS ontop of the changelog. see carefully. by looking at it, we can at least assume its 1/8 2100
untold tweaks means too long to list down & redundant. dalvik optimisation, zipaligned apks, etc etc is not important anymore, become too basic to specify. this rom meant to be flashed thru recovery (which TWRP v2.7.0.0 is working fine on my unit).
if dd to /dev/block/recovery not working, try /dev/recovery. basically im quite active in Xperia Z,Z1,Z2 & Z Ultra rom recently & the device has few variants 3G,4G,etc which specific firmware modules (modem) is needed for gsm radio functionality. afaik this omate only has 2 bands variant which easily can work on both if proper modules are configured properly.
edit : this rom is not based on any existing rom which i never try one. i customize it from scratch by dumping my system partition. so its not a port from other rom dn wori.

Benchmarks
Here are some benchmark results:
Benchmarks are NOT after a fresh install and are NOT necessarily after a reset ... so may not be as fast as if they were
Green = better than previous ROM base
Red = worse than previous ROM base
ROM 1.1 -> - Base 2.26.1530.3 Videotron:
AnTutu Benchmark: 3668
GPU Bench: 30522 / 23790
Quadrant Standard: 2152
ROM 0.99B -1.0 - Base 2.00.405.3 Flyer:
AnTutu Benchmark: 3655
GPU Bench: 32727 / 24578
Quadrant Standard: 2256
Note:some tests are capped at 60fps as this is the refresh rate of the Flyer -
Hence why I did not bother with NeoCore etc as it always hits the cap!
All tests are done in sets of 3, with the best result recorded

Procedure
If you have not already done so you will need to s-off your device.
To do this follow the instructions at http://revolutionary.io
When doing this be sure to Install Clockwork recovery when prompted
To open clockwork you just need to turn on your device (from a cold start by disabling fastboot first), then turn it on again with the volume down button held. If done correctly you should get the bootloader from which you can enter Clockwork by selecting recovery.
The procedure for flashing should be:
Put the update zip file on your SD Card (not the internal storage) by connecting your Flyer to your computer
Backup existing ROM through Clockwork in case something goes terribly wrong!(or other backup tool)
Wipe Data/Factory reset (not always required but HIGHLY recommended) if flashing from another ROM (not i00 ROM) - if there are steps required for an update (from one version of i00 ROM to another) I will post the details in the Version Info
Flash new ROM through Clockwork (through install zip from SD card)

Common Questions
OK thought I'd put together a list of common questions that people have with this ROM to stop me answering the same questions again and again.
Q: What else is included in the ROM
A: Besides the Base apps from HTC and Google ... not alot - Superuser (for other changes see the change log above)
Q: I flashed and now my system apps keep force closing
A: Did you wipe data/factory reset?
Issues
Phone doesn't display properly when initially opening in landscape
Speed dial option under phone force closes
Next Version

Got anything you want to see in the next update? - let me know
Post the eact version of the FLYER, WIFI/WIFI+3G etc for the ROM. You don't want to be blamed for someone doing something stupid.
congrats on getting out the first custom rom. I'm actually working my way through HTC Android Kitchen on the view. Do you know if there is anyway to create a rom that will service both the view, flyer3g and the wifi flyer?

Since the spec of the devices almost the same, I believe the ROM can meet all of them, maybe the kernel/radio will be different.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Once we all get our custom roms out and compile our own kernels from scratch, it might be fun to do a one rom to rule them all like synergy over on the evo 4g. Waiting on my ubuntu install to finish updating right now before I start working on a view 4g rom

No .. and this is because I don't think it's broken...
The whole point of the device fingerprint is so that it can be identified for compatibility... Google has a master list of keys that correspond with device specs - such as resolution etc...
When someone posts an application on the market they can specify if they only want it for certain devices / resolutions etc and the market will only return the applications specified that meet the criteria of the device.
Identifying the Flyer as another device (imo) is not a fix, and as stated, I don't believe this is even an issue, it is up to the app dev's to know what their software works on and make their market posts accordingly.

Why You Should Donate...
More often than not, a developer for a specific device will use their device as a guinea pig. Tweaking, rooting, building ROMs & Kernel testing are but a few things that can really mess up one's device. Saying Thank You is great, and means alot to a Developer...a small Donation for His / Her work goes even further!
The tools needed to develop a ROM go much deeper than just the Device being developed on. While some preferred development tools are Open Source and can be used for free, others are not...and are a big investment. Add onto that the hours of dedication to building a ROM, and the amount of (Insert Energy Drink of Choice Here), it can be a costly hobby / passion. It's NOT required...but SO very much appreciated by the Developers!
The Thanks Button...
Be generous in your thanks to Developers as well as your fellow community members that help out. We tech nuts are a vain group of individuals, and tend to be more productive when we know others appreciate our work. Taking less than 10 seconds to click that "Thanks" button is likened to a high-five, fist-bump, atta-boy...and if you're NOT homophobic, a good old baseball pat on the arse!
Are you jealous that someone has more thanks than you? Contribute! Very rarely is info sharing frowned upon! Found a killer app you just can't live without? Tell someone! Share the knowledge...it's what XDA is meant to be! It's grown from a small Development community, into a massive one...with SO effin much to share with lovers of various devices. The more that pitch in, the more we open up our devices for enjoyment!
XDA Thanks Button Introduction
Glossary / Tools
Glossary
ADB - The Android Debug Bridge. A collection of tools that any rooted Android user should have. ADB allows one to interact with their device from a terminal interface. This enables the user to do a variety of tasks such as sideloading applications and more. SEE HERE
Android - A Linux (SEE HERE) based operating system created and mostly designed by Google. The major revisions are (SEE HERE) 1.0, 1.1, 1.5 (Cupcake), 1.6 (Donut), 2.0/2.0.1/2.1 (Eclair), 2.2 (Froyo) 2.3 (Gingerbread), and 3.0 (Honeycomb - tablet only). The majority of Android major revisions are named after desserts. SEE HERE and SEE HERE
AOSP - Android-Open-Source-Project - Its Usually to Reference Stock Android ( a company that joined with Google to make Android, and allowing the Code to be an "Open Source" so that no industry player can restrict or control the innovations of any other) SEE HERE
APK - Android PacKage. These are, basically, Android applications and all of their data. They are run via the Dalvik Virtual Machine on your device. SEE HERE
Bootloader - The part of a computer that loads the operating system. If this is damaged/deleted you are screwed.
Fastboot - Is the protocol used to update the flash filesystem in Android devices from a host over USB. It allows flashing of unsigned partition images. SEE HERE
Flashing - The act of installing a ROM onto an embedded device or emulator.
Kernel - In computing, the kernel is the main component of most computer operating systems; it is a bridge between applications and the actual data processing done at the hardware level. SEE HERE
RAM - Random-access memory (RAM) is a form of computer device data storage. SEE HERE
ROM - The name given to software on embedded devices (mobile phones, for the most part). "Flashing" a ROM means that you install that software on your device.
Odexed VS Deodexed Files - "Theres plenty of debate over what is faster/better to use, im not going to take sides in this one. This is just information about what the differences in the two are, try for yourself.
Deodex basically takes the odex file and stuffs it into the apk as a classes.dex. First boot it dissembles the file into /dalvik-cache (i believe). Now there is basically 2 copies of the odex, one in the apk one in cache. This makes it "portable". This allows modders to work on the apks & easily change stuff. If you want themes or stuff like lockscreen fixes you MUST use Deodex.
Odex is how things come stock. It takes up less room but making modifications or taking apks from other roms is hard." - Credit Quote TrevE
Also SEE HERE - Link Credit pIxiLatEd
Overclocking - Increasing the "clock" of a processor to increase its speed at the expense of battery life and possibly your phone. Not all processors overclock the same, even if the hardware is identical. One phone with a Tegra2 SoC might not be able to overclock to 1.2ghz, yet another might be able to overclock to 2.0ghz (very unlikely).
Radio/Modem - The parts of a firmware that allow communication between the operating system, the telecommunication hardware, and a mobile network. Some radios give good battery life, some good signal, some neither.

Root Guide
What is rooting and why should/shouldn't I do it?
Rooting is a way of gaining access to the root directory of your phone enabling you to change every aspect of your phones software that the manufacturer has locked. This enables you to do many things with your device that the manufacturer did not intend. Here are some reasons why people root and why people don't.
Reasons to root:
Get the latest versions of Android on your phone before anyone else.
Try faster and more optimized versions of your phone's software.
Overclocking and underclocking your phone.
Longer battery life.
Theme your phone a lot more.
FREE Wireless Tethering.
Remove unwanted Sprint software.
Reasons to NOT Root:
Not comfortable with troubleshooting your phone and phone problems.
Do not have the time to spend going through countless forums to find solutions to problems.
Possibility to break your phone permanently causing you to go back to Sprint (IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE) to get another one or buy another if you don't have insurance.
MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY WITH SPRINT. (YMMV - Can always un-Root)
Very time consuming and addicting.
Do not know what a "driver" is for a computer.
Have no knowledge of DOS.
So how do I root?
-Don't use any method just because the guide says "ROOT METHOD". Make sure its the latest root method used for your situation. Even this guide will get outdated one day (I'll try my best to keep it up to date).
-Rooting will cause all your information to be lost if you did not properly back them up. You will lose anything saved on the phone, such as contacts (not synced to Google) and applications and settings. Anything on your SD card will still be there such as music and pictures and video.
Basic terminology:
ROM - The phone's software
Flashing - Installing. Pertains to ROMs, kernels, radios, themes, etc

Unfortunately I'm moving away from the Photon, so will be discontinuing the guides. I'll poke my head in once and awhile and update any pertinent info. Time to pass on the torch...
I enjoyed the MoPho...but one month after release it's way too quiet in here for me. I crave flashing goodness...and hear only crickets. I will be picking up the SGSII when it hits, and look forward to seeing some of you over there!

Good choice. I have a demo device of the Epic Touch (my Sprint work phone) and it's pretty solid. This 4.5" screen is juicy but I find myself checking my social media and my email with the Photon, even though I'm supposed to use the Epic Touch as much as possible.
Wish I the the time to contribute unoffical development. Im too busy with work. I'm sure this device will heat up. Everyone acts as if they only cook HTC. Too many HTC cooks and not enough Android Cooks.

So true. There needs to be more universal Android development instead of just HTC.

You know whats sad... i have been on this forum for a while, and hit the thanks btton a handful of times (sadly not as much as I should) but I have never thought of the Donation is this light... Damn... Kinda feel like a tool now...
Updated to reflect personal status.
Wow, welcome back! What specifically made you come back to the trusty ol' mopho?
hey is anyone ever had this issue before when your using torpedo to root.

Personally, imo. I like Tegra better then Samsung chipset. - Plus 50$ compared to 150$ is better but thanks for the guide ^_^
I feel joker should be added to the devs list along with his roms+ kernels. maybe the cm7 rom should be added although being alpha that's up to you.
THANKS!
Thanks man!

Hi everyone... here's my first crack at a custom ROM for the Xperia Play. And this is very beta. Once things get more solid, I'll make this first post a lot more proper. As it stands, this is for people who aren't worried about being on the edge.

Data, SMS, MMS, Wifi, Home button, back button, Google Voice Navigation all working.
Installation instructions:
I've been trying to get a proper flashable update.zip which would include the DoomKernel, however I have been getting bootloops, so for now, installing consists of restoring a Nandroid backup. This, of course, requires a kernel with CWM recovery, so you must already have DoomKernel installed at the moment.
These instructions will get much more properly fleshed out later on.
Quick and dirty steps:
1) Enter Recovery menu with preflashed DoomKernel.
2) Wipe all userdata
3) Wipe all caches
4) Wipe Dalvik Cache
5) Install the zerorom zip from your SD card.
At this point, reboot and you should be booting into the ROM. There's a good chance you'll see the boot logo two or three times before it boots properly. This is normal and no reason to be alarmed. This is basically the dalvik2cache and zipalign scripts running.
CDMA Users:
Install with the same build as below. Follow the same instructions. As long as you have not wiped /system when you attempt to install zerorom, it will detect that you are running on CDMA. It checks this by going by what your /system/build.prop says. If that file does not exist, installation could fail.
Installation failure when /system is wiped before install:
If you are missing /system/build.prop, you could write the following into a text file: "ro.product.device = R800x" for CDMA users or "ro.product.device = R800i" for GSM users. Then push this file to /system/build.prop. Then restart installation and you should be good.

V0.1 - http://www.multiupload.com/6H8EE0FMKY
Got a lot of plans in the future for this ROM. Let me know what you think if you take the time to try it out.
Changelog/Roadmap:
v0.5 - Update zips for each version from now on, startup script control, nano/bash included.
v0.4 - CDMA and GSM support in a single installation, hacked Google Maps 5.10.0 with worldwide navigation, loopy smoothness tweaks and V6 SuperCharger memory management scripts on startup. PNG optimized.
v0.3 - Restarted from scratch. Added Google Talk with video. Added new theme. Switched to Launcher Pro from ADW Launcher. Removed more apps. Added new bootanimation. Turned off auto-brightness settings. Turned off most camera sounds. SQLite vacuum on boot. Yet more stuff.
V0.2.1 - Readd Sony Ericsson settings application to fix Messaging app force close when attemping to enter its settings.
V0.2 - Removed Facebook, Sony Ericsson custom Facebook integration, Sony Ericsson sync clients, Sony Ericsson LiveView manager. Added romname/version to build.prop so it is displayed to the user.
V0.1 - Initial release.
Possible future plans and progress:
Single build working for both CDMA and GSM phones without manually installing another zip. - Done pending testing
More switchable user control over various things such as the muting of camera sounds, zipalign, dalvik2cache and many other options through a simple interface. - 10% complete
Add Screenshot function to power menu - Abandoned for now, screenshot intent was Cyanogenmod only?
Switch to Google DNS servers? - Initial look into it complete, reevaluating soon.
Apps2SD - Nothing done yet.
Various build.prop/performance tweaks - 50% complete
Use zerorom as the basis for a rom devoted towards the emulator/gamer - Nothing done yet, waiting for this ROM to be complete.
PNG optimization - 100% complete.
EDT Tweaks for status bar - Some initial looks into it complete, reevaluating soon.
SD Card speedup - Nothing done yet.
Alternate font - Nothing done yet.
Multiple themes - Nothing done yet.
720p playback with replacement of liboxmvdec.so - 100% - failed
Integrate Chainfire3D - Nothing done yet.
Centered clock, status bar changes? - Nothing done yet.
Hot reboot option integrated into reboot menu - Nothing done yet.

Don't go that way: in Sony's Xperia line for this year, kernels are not flasheable through recovery, because the recovery must be contained in the kernel. Thus, kernels must be flashed with fastboot, separate from the rest.
!
This looks good! its like all in one mod
I have most of the features though xD

Or did you mean something else?

Is there any source for this info?
As for Facebook, I'm looking deeper into how tied it is to the other apps. It's definitely something that will probably disappear soon.

If that helps you some, in my old system image GP2Xperia I made Facebook in its wholeness disappear from the phone. It's just a couple of apk's, nothing to be worried about. However, you may want to prepare a Facebook-adding update.zip just in case.

I removed it completely as a test (along with SE Syncing tools and their custom FB stuff) and found that simply installing FB from the market brings back most of what you'd get anyways, so it'll be removed from the next version. Liveware Manager will also be removed since it can just be installed from the market.

i said thank you (though not in those 2 words), gave the dev a thumbs up, and am currently running the rom to test it out and feed back to the dev any issues (if any) there may be in this package. i was just merely pointing out that in my eyes, fb is bloat and (to me) not as clean as i'd hoped.
so far it is a good rom, funcional, and a very good start for the devs first play attempt in a very limited custom rom world (for the play, at the moment), and i greatly look forward to future releases
v0.2 is in the middle of uploading. Sorry, no update.zip to update to the new version yet. I'll start creating those soon.
SE Sync, SE Facebook, Facebook, LiveWare all removed. Added rom name/version to build.prop.
EDIT: Done uploading, link: http://www.multiupload.com/3W86RKRKOM
My facebook patch will work fine

[TOOL] HTC Amaze 4G All-In-One Toolkit V5.2 [6-2-2013] [PERM ROOT] [Noob-Proof]

Post 1 - Information
Post 2 - Downloads and Release / Change Information
Post 3 - Bugs, Future Additions to the GUI, FAQ
I would like to add for those that like my toolkit, PLEASE DO NOT POST IT ELSEWHERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!
I have seen multiple sites who copy and paste my work to their site! If I do not approve of it, then do not do it! it will discourage me from adding updates since it is being used for their own benefits!
tl;dr.
If you post my work without permission, don't expect updates!
I created an easy to use GUI program for the Amaze. I spent a good over 10+ hours to learn how to script, watch videos on how to do it, working on it during school when I should have been listening lol and all that fun stuff. The GUI interface looks like crap right now GUI is improved starting from v2.0 but I just wanted to share it. I am going to fix it and up and add more updates to it. You CAN place requests and I will try to fulfill it!
If this helped you out, Please press the thanks button and if you want, you can always donate!

FAQs
Q - Why Did you make this?
A - To make life easier
Q - You are limited on features. Why?
A- You can always make a request!
Q - Will this work on other devices?
A - Only the fastboot commands, HTC Dev unlock (device specific) and the HTC drivers. Toolkit is made for the specific device.
Q - Will you support more devices in the future?
A - If people REALLY want, I can make it happen. I just don't want to make anything that nobody would use.
Q - Awesome! Can I make a donation?
A - Of course! Do not feel obligated though. If you would like to make a donation, you can click the button on my toolkit or under my username.
Wow this looks awesome. Noob-proof for sure!

Thanks!
I was looking to add that option, but it would have to be the zergrush for 1.36 ROMs. For 1.43/1.46, you have to go into recovery and manually flash the zip file. I don't think there is a script to automatically do that, but then again, I may be wrong.

- Removed boot to recovery button and users had to manually select fastboot. Scripts have been modified to do this in one straight shot. WooHoo!
- Evened out the buttons look.

Thanks! Give me feedback on it. I want to know if people like it, what I should add/delete, any requests. Whatever it may be! There has been 100 downloads but BARELY any feedback!
Nice Job
nice job. I havn't tried it, I'm typically not a flash whore!!!! and I usually use fastboot, adb etc. But this will probably solve so many problems and questions people have especially noob and new android users.
nice going again

I am starting to expand my kit to the Sensation and possibly more devices. I am getting more ideas that people are mentioning and I can add it to the kit as I expand out even more! Yay! lol.

A big hello to everyone seems to be the right words to start with.
A couple of weeks ago i've decided to say goodbye to HTC after many years and got my hands on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Running around with a stock version felt bad so i've started flashing custom roms within 2 hours after unboxing it. After flashing many of the custom roms i started working on a pesonal rom and started off with the DevBase by ALEXNDR and went on until i had a stable deodexed version with just those tiny changes to make my day. Now i think it's time to share the rom and find out what all of you think about it. Don`t forget i`m new to the world of Samsung and learning every single day, don`t expect high class development at first, it will get better as we roll.
Main goal of this thread and rom is to create a smooth and most of all stable rom that is friendly towards the battery, there's enought higly developed roms out there for those that seek all the extra`s for their daily driver. I will start providing flashable zips containing fixes, mods and add-ons once i get to know my way around the N4 and Samsungs way of buiding their roms.
Please read all the info posted in this thread before flashing! Make sure you know what you're doing just to be on the safe side. Before posting anything i have tested and flashed it many times but this doesn`t mean there is no risk involved in flashing my work. I'm not responsible for bricked devices or other issues you may face after flashing my work! Keep this in mind when you decide to flash anything provided in this thread.
Changelog between ALEXANDR's DevBase BOD2 and Project N4 B1.1:
- Fully Deodexed
- Added 5 way Reboot options
- pushed device overall volume a little less compared to B1.0
- Added Modded Camera
- Added Modded Telecom.apk removing ascending ringtone volume
- Cleaned the app list without loosing functionality
- Added Latest AdBlocking hosts file
- Added Memory Leak Fix ( thanks to robocik )
Note:
You'll need the latest modem and bootloader files to run this rom, if you`re running the wrong versions you`ll end up in a bootloop! The proper modem and bootloader files can be found in the download folder along with the Rom zip. I trust you all know how to use Odin in order to flash them
Changelog between ALEXANDR's DevBase BOC5 and Project N4 B1.0:
- Fully Deodexed
- Added 5 way Reboot options
- pushed device overall volume
- Cleaned the app list without loosing functionality
- Added Latest AdBlocking hosts file
- Added Memory Leak Fix ( thanks to robocik )
None as far as i know, so please share if you find one.
Always make sure you're running latest bootloader and modem before flashing this rom to prevent bootloop.
Also make sure you're running latest TWRP of CWM recovery.
Download the rom zip file and check MD5 checksum.
Copy the rom zip file to your (ext.) storage.
Reboot in to recovery and flash the rom zip file.
When flashing is done reboot your device and wait patiently untill the boot finishes ( This can take a while ).
When you're on stock before flashing this no wipe is needed for a safe flash, if you're running a different rom
or when you do run in to trouble a wipe in recovery will save your day,

@LeeDroid just for being my friend, tutor and master in development.
@The Great Dane for becomming my friend and putting up with me even in the darkers hours. Thank you for seeing the things the way i see them and backing me up in times of need!
Since this is based on ALEXANDR DevBase all additional options also go for this rom. Visit his thread and thank him for his hard work! Below i copy/pasted the additional features ( i know i`m lazy ) hoping he won`t mind. Please let me know if you do mind my lazyness so i can remove the text below.
Additional info that comes with this ALEXNDR.N910FXXU1BOC5 based rom:
1. Base:
- Multi CSC (list of natively supported CSC as above) (*)
- Removed KNOX (apps, agent, container, etc..)
- Rooted (SuperSU 2.46 app + binary), BusyBox 1.23.1
- Odexed (original, untouched framework & apps)
- All original features are present and works
- Able to write to extSdCard by all applications
- No visual changes (100% stock look)
- Stock kernel
- Safe De-Bloated (more info below)What does it mean and why is it called "safe"?
- ONLY apps available in stores are removed from DevBase, so you can easy (re)install any of these app if you like
- ONLY pre-installed system apps are removed, DevBase installer never touch any updated app nor app installed manually from store
Thus, the following conclusions can be drawn:
1. If you install my DevBase directly over stock ROM without performing "Wipe data" - in most cases almost all these apps will remain untouched, because almost all apps have been updated already (stored on /data). But then you will be able to remove any useless app using the "Application manager", like any other app. Removed manually app will not appear again until you use my DevBase while updating.
2. If you perform "Wipe data" while installing my DevBase - then all apps listed below will be removed. If you would like to use any of these apps - just install it manually from appropriate store. Installed manually app will not be removed during the next DevBase update.
Removed apps list:
Chrome
Drive
Dropbox
Evernote
Facebook
FB Messenger
FB Pages Manager
Flipboard
Google+ / Photos
Hangouts
Instagram
PEN.UP
Play Books
Play Games
Play Movies
Play Music
Play Newsstand
Smart Remote
WhatsApp
2. Init.d Support (*):
- Init.d support without need of use custom kernel (details)
3. CscFeature MOD (*) (enabled some built-in, hidden features):
- Added shutter sound menu in Camera
- Sending/receiving MMS without data on
- Added "Exit Internet" option to stock browser
- Added call button in Phone Logs
- Added "Call/Message block" option in Settings
- Added symbols as secondary keys in Samsung keyboard
- Call Recording (manual control, added "Record" button)
(*) - these options can be controlled by editing options.prop file (you can find such file in ZIP's root directory). Just place modified options.prop file (use e.g. Notepad++ to edit) in the root directory of internal emulated scdard (/data/media/0) or extSdCard (recommended if you plan to format internal emulated sdcard) and then start the installation.
Footnote:
After being around in the HTC corners of XDA it`s very nice to find out how kind the developers are within the Note 4 section of our beloved forums! Didn`t expect to meet so many nice people after having my share of "*****fights" in the HTC section. I do hope to make some new friends on this side, and will never forget the few friends that sticked with me in the HTC section.

If only I could, HTC features all hang on HTC Framework and Launcher so I don't think we've got much chance of porting it to the Note 4.

I will as soon as I update the rom, still hoping to get some feedback to find out if the rom is also stable and smooth for others.
Thanks for your great job!
Could you please add volume buttons skip tracks function?
I think that would be amazing, nobody did it until now and it's something very useful.
Cheers.

I will do my best, if this was a request on the one M8 or M9 it would be no problem at all, being new to Samsung means i have to find my way around so no promises.

Thanks for your feedback, i`m glad it worked out for you.
Currently uploading the latest BOD2 based version, guess i should have waited one day before going public. If Samsung stays away from another update in the near future i will find some time to start working on flashable MOD zips.
