[HELP] Galaxy S3 International - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys I have rooted my s3 since I didnt even putted sim in it.
I have flashed many custom roms and kernel.
some are good and some are very laggy and slow.
Also the performance and battery life on some custom rom and kernel are not very good.
I want someone to guide me with a perfect combination of custom ROM and Custom Kernel which has great performance and very good battery life.
Now I am using custom rom s5 sensation v4.0 with boeffla kernel 6.0.
Till now its working good and battery life is also decent.
As I stated up I want a perfect combination so that I can get very good free ram , battery life and performance.

Best Rom requests are against xda posting rules, as they can cause bad feeling. Try them yourself, there is no perfect combination only what is best for each individual.

[Q] Aokp/CM based rom with stable battery performance .

Hey there guys , i would like to hear your opinions about different roms based on cm/aoPropertieshave a good battery life .
Fir the past few weeks ive been using ParanoidAndroid and lovin it cause of the Hybrid Proporties. but ... The battery upsets me . lol .
So what should i try next ?
Btw ReVolt was good but not as that great as PA.
Thanks yall .
Do not post best rom what rom threads its against the rules and will be locked .
jje
I know best ROM thread are prohibited, but battery life is objective. We compare different phones' battery life all the time, why not compare different ROMs?
Because they always turn into pissing matches.
Battery life is subjective. I can get 15 days out of a charge, but that is because I let it sit on my desk. You get 15 hours because you are actually using your phone. (all examples are not true to the best of my knowledge )
ROMs and kernels need to be used and determined which is best for you, not me.
@OP, best to get your Nandroid on and test them for yourself.

What is the best custom ROM for i9300?

I am looking for a custom 4.4 Kitkat custom ROM which is stable, bug free and fast since that the stock 4.3 from samsung eats a lot of ram which is insane. I hate samsung's useless bloatwares.
Any suggestions people? It would be much better if you've tried the ROM already. I need your answer based on your experience. Thanks in advance
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Best rom what rom posts are not allowed .
You could read the identical what is the best rom post today or yesterday or the day before .
We already know that there is no "BEST ROM", but I'm gonna read it as "recommend me a good rom"!.
Quick and fast: NONE.
Anything over 4.1.2 is laggy and slow. May be better or worse, but nothing does in performance and battery like a good stock-based 4.1.2 ROM.
Also CM roms have (or had) worse gpu performance than stock roms.
I have tried a lot of roms, either stock and CM/Omni based, and I finally kept with Imperium 13.6, located there:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37656317&postcount=1
Again, it's just my opinion,
Mod Edit
"Best" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.

I'm a fanatic ex RootBox user. To me, this question rather depends on personal preferences. There are no such thing as this kernel is better than that kernel because in my opinion, all items on XDA are treated the same respect. If you have to ask me, I'd stick to the stock kernel that came with RootBox itself as I think the developers developed their ROM to proper blend with the kernel they provided, just make sure they are compatible with each other.
Ever since bajee has left the development, I switched to NeatROM JB 4.1.2 Aroma (and never regreted once) since they are more active supports, updates, and mods for this ROM. It's very sad though RootBox has so much potentials to stay on my top ROM list.
You've gotta try to understand and satisfied with the kernel you choose for RootBox and the answer will come from yourself. People can make reviews, but that's all depends on how they use their phone. Same questions like battery life, etc. it's all depends. To me, the best combo is Apollo regular + NeatROM JB. Best battery life ever, you will be surprised looking at the battery graph.
Hope that helps.

great answer my dear
I am puzzled by the fact
This rom has many options that do not exist except in a few roms like PACROM...BAMROM..
But unfortunately ..RootBox has a bad battery performance
So ... I thought to use another kernel may solve the problem
i know that NeatRom has a great battery performance ..but i miss a lot of options in it
thx t u man :good:

[Q] Help to choose ROM

Hello.
I have here friend's phone which I resuscitated successfully
Now I want to install some custom ROM but I need to help with choosing.
Because it's for my friend, who doesn't know much about phones and ROMs, I'm searching for something stable and bugfree. But of course also something with good battery drain and speed
So probably something based on CM7.2 but what I looked, there is a lot of modification of them...
Thanks :highfive:

First for your kind information you can't judge between any Roms , not allowed in XDA so go go the Dev section read the features and all , then decided which rom to flash.
So it's not allowed to review the ROMs?
There are people, who always test maybe all ROMs. And always there are ROMs which are better in some way (speed, features...) but bad in others (stability, bugs, battery consumption...

It is not allowed to Judge between two Rom's I advise you to read all rules carefully !
Test it by yourself don't ask here .

I need Help

Hello Guys,
i need a good Rom and Kernel for Performance and Gaming
Thanks a lot for the answer !
Sorry for my bad english.
This kind of topics are banned from xda as it is personal preference and you have to choose yourself. And in terms of gaming you won't do very good on s3 anymore. It's just old

McXred is absolutely right on every count. Questions like this should be avoided! Please try to educate yourself but searching through the forums before starting a new thread. Make up you own da** mind.
But as you have already started the thread I like to give you some hints:
If performance is all you're after, you can't beat an aosp based rom like e.g. LineageOS, RR or Slim. But keep in mind you are sacrificing stability and/or functionality in some cases. That's just the trade-off we have to live with. Period.
If you choose one of the above (or similar) you could try increasing performance further by using a custom kernel like boeffla kernel, or even Elite boeffla kernel if it works with the rom you choose. Same here... stability could decrease!
Happy trials!
Stock firmware is the best. If it wasn't then samsung wouldn't use it.
