Those wraps look legit, but how is the texture on them? I'm especially interested in the wood version.
I reaaaally want some slicks for my G3, i've used slicks with my past devices and love them, specially the carbon fiber ones.

The texture is spot on. Really helps make a phone a lot less slippery. I like the carbon fiber wraps a lot, I believe they add the most texture.

I'm hoping that come out soon, I always enjoy a nice change from the usual and I hate skinomi because of some prior issues with them.
Edit: the carbon ones look the best and will probably add some grip.

Some additional texture on top of the already smooth case would be good. I'd be interested to learn more about this.

Count me in on this. I don't mind paying for skin if that makes it happen faster. This slick back combined with my dry hands stinks!
Definitely interested, I like the case but it's slippery enough that having it slip is an eventuality - wrap would look nice and add the right amount of "tack" for better grip.

I emailed Carved to see if they'd be producing cases for the Nexus 6 since they currently make cases for the N5 and this is what I got back:
"We are continuing to add new products to the Nexus line. Please keep checking our site for updates!"
That sounds like a yes to me! Not sure how many people like/use these cases but their N5 cases look great in person. I got a buddy with a cedar case for his N5 and it's great looking plus feels good in the hand. They're wooden backed with a snap on hard plastic rubber edge and you can choose from a variety of design/wood types. They're not the most durable cases but if you're into cases that are borderline art, these are for you. I can't post links yet, this is actually my first post, but if you visit carved.com and click 'shop' you'll see a link to their current N5 case selection.
Sweet cases! How bulky are they? Is hard to tell from the pictures on their site.

They're pretty low profile. I didn't have another N5 case to compare it to but the carved case didn't add a lot of extra bulk.
I have never heard of these cases before, but now I must have one. I really hope they add the Nexus 6 to their line.

Of a particularly relevant note here--they apparently do base what phones they offer cases for based on user demand, so it's actually kind of important to leave them a comment at http://www.carved.com/contact-us explaining why it would be a Good Idea to make a case for the Nexus 6. (One thing I did note to them is that--with a difference in scale, of course--the same template would be usable on the Moto X 2nd Gen AND the new Droid Turbo as pretty much all the Motorola phones are on the same rough body build. It does help in my case that I've built tooled leather cases for non-phone stuff, so I do kind of know what is involved in making a good case design. )

I want an Ironside full wood case..that would be so awesome! love their work! their art! the skateboard one and the live ones also look cool...the ebony ones too..the full ones..i don't want no inlay one...i want that full wood look!! ha...yeah...love the art!
I've never been one to use cases on my phones but these are really nice. I've been intrigued about these wood finishes since I've seen the bamboo back option for the Moto X. Might have to pick one of these up. I'll shoot them an email to help them gauge demand.

I bought 2 solid wood cases for me and my wifes Note 3's and both cases broke within 2 weeks really bummed me out because that case always got people's attention. It was not from carved.com so i don't know if there solid wood offering would be more durable.
Man I hope they come out with some soon.

The case they use for the nexus 5 appears to be a ringke slim.
Such a shame that Carved still haven't brought out a case for the N6. Has anyone found a good alternative elsewhere?

I wanted to let you know that Carved.com asked me to beta test a Nexus 6 case on the 25th, it should be here in the next day or two, not sure what the rules are about testing it so I will confirm if I can post pics and comment on it. But I wanted to share that it is making progress.
Since the time I ordered my nexus I always had the curiosity to find out the different ways by which I could customize my nexus 6. And I am glad I bought the teak wood skinnova skin from gadgetshieldz. I have purchased this skin after bad experiences in the past from other manufacturers. But this one has surpassed them all. Right from the precise cuts of NEXUS and MOTO to the feel on the back this skin is as good as it can get and you cant ask for anything better. The packaging was also very good and this skin comes with a free screenguard which makes it even better. The skin has absolutely no trouble when used with a case being either tpu or a hard back case. I would love to see a bamboo wood skin in the list. I did order screen guards from gadgetshieldz earlier but from here on the skins also add to my shopping cart from them.

This is my personal experience after using the skin, have done similar ones in the respective threads and I get nothing out of it just as you I guess. We are here to help and inform each other. And I dont work for gadgetshieldz either.

I understand where you are coming from. I just mentioned it because there are many duplicate OP's floating around but I don't have any issue with it I just wanted to point it our in case you didn't see it. Its good to see other skins getting g reviewed beside the dominate 2 (dbrand and SW) which I wrote about. I'm interested in giving these a try as well now.

Just wanted to share the custom skins that I am currently working on producing. I know there are tons of different places that do skins that are cookie cutter and let you pick colors, or just an image to print, but to those of us out there who want to stand out and make our phones unique, that doesn't quite cut it. I want quality materials but not the pick your color and look like the person next to you idea. I can appreciate what companies like Dbrand offer, but I want to be able to customize them a bit more. I will be offering some more basic ones like theirs down the line, but I am looking to give that fully custom experience to those out there who truly love their devices and want to show them off. There are some people out there who hate seeing their carrier branding or company names plastered on their device. There are those who are extremely brand loyal and want to proudly support them and show those around them what they are carrying. Whether you want your favorites sports team logo with a twist, you favorite rom developer / team logo, or even you own company logo to draw some attention when you pull your phone out, I want to deliver that experience.
I have been working on some of the skins and templates I have as well as testing different materials for ease of install, look, and durability. The Nexus 6 skins are 90% done in my eyes and the materials have been ironed out for the main part. I am looking to make skins that are truly unique and able to give you exactly the look that you want on your device. I will be taking orders and shipping soon. I am currently going to be pushing them locally in the Chicagoland area. There are a couple cell phone stores that I know that are willing to keep them on hand as well. Looking for some feedback on what you see here and some other possible ideas that you would like to see. After I get some feed back on what I have been working on, I will move forward. Looking forward to hear what you have to say.
UPDATE: To make things easier, please PM me, or email me at [email protected] if you are looking to order one. Trying to keepup on every message on the forum hasn't been the easiest with family things currently. The email listed is specifically for this project and I will be checking it multiple times daily!

Thanks. That was the first one I did on my Nexus actually. Didn't want to take it off to test the others, but had to... There will be a future revision to it when I get the materials I am waiting on....

Can most likely do it for $10 (red isn't a premium material like carbon fiber etc) plus a couple bucks for shipping. I can send a backup one with it just in case (the install is not easy with the lettering)

Actually dBrand sends two sets of skins for every skin skin you order. The second basically becomes useless if you apply the first skin correctly.
This is my current wishlist to go for, and anybody interested, comment here if you want to team up (and save some money):
1. Black Camo: There newest skin, and the reason for sale. Though it looks good too. military finish type of.
2. Red Dragon: I have heard lot of praise about dragon skins. red one isn't very flashy, like carbon fibre red. dark red sort of color.
3. Bamboo Wood: i have always adored for woods skins. Ebony wood is also a good option.

i have myself used gadgetshieldz. i was never presented with a backup skin though only one skin
Tried dBrand once for a different phone (Huawei P9). Installation was a pain and finally i threw it.
Question is, how easy is the installtion? because I may have tried incorrectly. Thanks.

I stumbled across, this website SKINSLAYER.COM, their products are exactly like DBrands, and after giving it a shot I'm sort of convinced that I did get a bargain with them. so rather than pitching in together I'd go for the exact same 3M alternative in our country.
