Hi,
Thanks for this great app, but my theme (HINT theme) unread emails count is -1 and won't update.
I'm using default AOSP email app, and added 2 yahoo and google account (which have lots of unread mails)
Update:
Problem solved, I do a force update (I think)
No, it was screenshot, the problem remains...

Try re-installing. Maybe that helps.

Try switching themes.
Else, open your Themer Settings - Unread Email Count, then change your account settings accordingly.
Let us know how it goes!

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I am using a new Samsung Galaxy S2 and it seems, from the research I have done, there is no way to have the gmail icon display any unread gmail messages?!
WTF?!
No matter what I have tried via apps on the Market, nothing seems to work - SO frustrating!
Yep, since Gmail was updated to 2.3.5 none of the Unread count apps or notifiers work. It does not allow 3rd party apps to read Gmail anymore.

K that really ticks me off! At least my Crapberry was able to do that, at least.
Someone on another thread said there was a fix to this - do you have any idea about it?

When I recieve an email there is no number on the lockscreen or the homescreen icons stating there is an unread message.
When I miss a call or recieve a test message both the lockscreen and the homescreen have the number of missed calls or messages.
Anyway to fix the gmail unread count not showing?
ditto... only thing i could get working is the gmailunreadcounter widget 2 and go laucher ex which doesn't have unread count for the native e-mail app. really!?!?

I have this from time to time, also had it on the S2.
Only way I can clear it is going to the PC and marking them read or clearing Data on GMail app. Both not the greatest solutions though.
Hoping its just a bug in GMail and on Jelly Bean it will be fixed..

I don't think this is the issue here. The OP is asking how to get an unread count for gmail icon/widget/homescreen (and me +1). Silly it's an android phone powered by google software and doesn't even give functionality to gmail stock.
Hi,
I am searching for a good mail app.
I am receiving many emails from different accounts (approx 6 different accounts) and I would like to have a way to read the emails from the notification panel and mark them as "read" or "delete".
And, in the mail app, the best will be with a consolidated view for unread messages.
I don't want an application that "proxifies" our data (man in the middle; and they have the password of our mailbox).
Which mail app do you use ?
Thank you

Thank you for your answer.
Cloudmagic is quite expensive if I have more than 3 mail accounts; moreover my emails wil be stored on their server -/)
Mail Wise seems nice but not available in Play store for my country. I tried to use MarketEnabler to specify a [US] T Mobile value but stil doesnt work.
If you have any other idea or good app, let met know.
Thank you
K-9 is probably one of the most popular mail apps and it has options for mark read and delete in the notification panel.

I agree, although there are problems with some devices using it, as I experienced. If you also have problems try [email protected] made by the same devs I believe.

Me too agree! Also K9 is open source. You can downloaded from F-Droid market and with APG app you can firm o encrypt your e-mail message.
Also the default mail, which come with android gapp, can mark as read from the notification bar. It depends on your rom version.

I run the latest version of themer and I love the option of adding a custom email app.
I am using SolMail as my email app on my Galaxy S5 and I have about 7 accounts in there.
I have set the notification in my theme for new emails but it only shows the new emails for the default account and not for all accounts. How can I edit this so that the notifications show all new emails from all accounts?
It's great

No idea what you're talking about. A reply like yours does not add very much to the discussion, do you think?

We were slowly upgrading these feature, so we will look into supporting more accounts for 3rd-party apps in the future

Hi everyone !
I'd like to share what seems to be a bug on my Honor 7 PLK-L01, that the first OTA update didn't solve.
Every new mail incoming in my Inbox By Gmail app appears twice at the same time in my notification timeline.
Am I the only one ? Did any of you found a solution for that ?
Have a nice day
You haven't by any chance set up your email app with your gmail account as well as the gmail app. Android automatically sets up your gmail when you first set up the phone and log on with your gmail.

I disabled gmail in application settings menu. And I don't think it's gmail because when I swipe the first notification away, the second one is exactly the same, with Inbox's possible actions (Done and Snooze).

I installed the app and it seems that it removes ALL notifications. I'm gonna test a few different settings and check back here.
EDIT : Okay my bad, I still have notifications... Both. So, the app didn't solve the problem :/
Aah, So you are using Inbox? I don't have it installed, but I seem to remember there was a Setting in the Inbox app to disable Notifications from Gmail.
