From what I can tell, no one has tried it, except people on an ATT LG G3, which has been confirmed to not be compatible with QI. No one with any other US carrier has tried it, as far as I know.
I ordered one last Monday for my Verizon phone. I just received a message 30 minutes ago that there was a warehouse inventory mistake and it should ship on Monday. I haven't heard of anyone trying it either, aside from the AT&T people.

Same here. I bought the white one for my D851 (T-Mo) G3 and it works perfectly on all my Qi charging pads. Appears to be OEM - made by LG - based on my non-scientific eye scan compared to the OEM cover that came on my phone. Very high quality material, but wish it was black. When I bought mine last week, the seller only had white and gold covers with the LG logo and a couple of black covers with the verizon logo (no thanks!). Anyway, buy without worry....Qi works on the TMo variant of the G3.

The seller mentioned in this thread "cellphone-parts" only has the gold and white back covers in stock.
I was interested in getting the black cover so I contacted them via eBay. Response follows.

Years ago myself and a friend peel the sticker from the back of a palm pre and wired up my HTC Evo so It would have wireless charging. It wasn't to difficult to peel up....the hard part was soldering the wires.
No soldering here needed so I would think it is just peel and stick....
what's the worse that happens?
Got my gold version in. Put it on the back of my Verizon G3 and it works. I'm using it with a new powerbot charger and it's very easy to place - I haven't had to move it around or anything. Now to switch its sticker with my black back.

It will fit like a glove. I had a Samsung car dock for my GS2, and it fit amazingly well. My only gripe was it just a tad too big and bulky, so i think the note dock will seem gargantuan to me.

I did the same thing as you and ordered the international dock. I was worried that it might not fit the US version but it fits and connects perfectly.

U can get original cardock for around 40 $.

same phone same size the only difference is the home button, i emailed pro clips the other day and asked when they were gonna have the adjustable phone mount like the one i have for my iPhone so i can leave the TPU case on it. They said that they will have it out soon. They didnt confirn the fit of the i717 with this so the posted that warning till i confirm it does fit and i have no doubts that it wont, but would like the adjustable one. they overnighted me one gotta love US business

on ebay and other websites , there are only quick circle cases for version F400
is the EU = US version? can i follow you links? or shall I get a korean compatible?
There is another thread about this already, but there are at least two versions of this case right now, and perhaps more. In the UK, we can get either a snap on case, or one that replaces the back, but our phones already come with wireless charging. If you're going to pre-order one for your US phone, it might be better to wait to confirm that the contact points between the body and the back case are the same, or to buy the clip on version and accept that you won't have wireless charging.

guys I have a question. is the quick circle case with the "for G3" in front authentic? my friends and i bought G3s and we received different promo packages. i got a free wireless charger and a circle case, they got a free car charger and a circle case.
the difference with our circle case though is that theirs is a snap on case that doesn't require removal of the back cover to replace it. and theirs has a "for G3" logo on the front of the flap.
mine on the other hand was a replacement back cover and has "LG G3" in front.
now we asked the LG distributors in our country and they said it was authentic. that's coming from an LG rep here by the way.
question is, are they really authentic or they just saying it is to cover for the lack of stocks (if they indeed are out of the LG branded one)?

Seeing the picture I would have said "Absolutely not" but if you bought it from an LG concept store.. you got me confused now.

Nah that's what my friends got. i got the authentic LG one with the white box and all. they were curious why theirs are different so iposted the question here at xda need concrete evidence, cause if they are indeed fake, that would be a complete ripoff for them.
It's pretty comical you can't buy this case for the US variants with QI charging. They said in May, that the case was going to be released before the phone, yet its vaporware unless you buy a knockoff on Ebay and who knows what version of the G3 it works with. Pretty frustrating.

The one with LG G3 on the cover is original for the 855 version
The one on the picture seems to be original as well, but might be fore the Korean version [400] It has a spare for the antenna..
I purchased a OEM back without any NFC or qi and a white OEM back with the NFC and qi. I'm going to remove it and make it work on the black one since I have a black G3. Both back covers will be here by Saturday so I will post pictures as I go. It may not be the cheapest or most effective way to get qi charging but it will get the job done. I just hate the ATT back with the death star on the back and I wanted to get a new one so I figured why not get qi as well.

Let me know if anyone has suggestions or has tried this already.

Where did you buy it? I just did a cursory search on Amazon with no luck. I'm looking for some way to get QI charging without having to go the AT&T powermat quicksilver case route (what the hell were they thinking going powermat).
Yes I have done this. Ripped off the coil from the quick circle case and stuck unto my Korean back that didn't have wireless charging. Works great!

I purchased them both off ebay. It wasn't cheap as a I said 27.99 for the black back cover w/o nfc or qi ( I just hate the carrier logo) and $40 for the NFC/Qi back cover in white. Both are USA sellers which is good.

I just ordered what I think is an OEM back from eBay and was planning on pulling the coil and putting in my AT&T back. How easy was it to pull? Did you have to heat it up? Any advice?
I'm a bit of a bull in the China shop and have no subtlety at all and it still worked out fine as the sticker sticks quite well. I used tweezers to remove it and then removed the one from the original with tweezers. Then stuck it on and it looks ok. Let me get a photo of the finished product and I'll post later.

Get the ones that have three coils in them e.g. the Tylt Vu. They're more expensive but work well. I'd say the problematic ones are those with only one coil.

This QI charger works, it's charging my european G3 right now. Very easy to position the phone right for it to pick up the correct spot.

This QI charger works, it's charging my european G3 right now. Very easy to position the phone right for it to pick up the correct spot.

Nope, no issue at all. You need to position the phone at exactly the right spot, but as the charger is quite small is easy to find it. Then it charges with no interruption and tells you when it's full.
I will probably be doing exactly the same thing
Possible to buy something like a wireless receiver for LG G3, there are tons of them for Samsung S5,Note 3 etc. That would be easier no?

There are no options for that currently, so we are stick with what's available.

Since I've been reading I've found that there is a Korean Spec backing that has 4 contacts that are very close, and is not compatible with the US LG G3 models. I didn't see another thread about these yet so lets use this thread to post US LG G3 compatible wireless charging backs, cases, inserts, or stickers.

Here's a good example photo I found of which one will NOT work with the US LG G3 models. Note how close the pins are on the Korean model and how they are spread out in groups of 2 on the US models. The US Model is the "Not Compatible" version shown in the pictures above.
I've given up. I've already ordered three different battery doors and canceled them after a new thread showed up saying they wouldn't work. I just ordered one of the crappy stickers that plugs in the usb port, and I'll just use that until I can get a qi compatible back.

Ok then this isn't good news: they don't work either.
So the only successful method I have heard to work to get wireless charging on US devices is to get a back panel from another variant and physically transplant them to your back panel. I'm really starting to hate the US variants because of all these minute changes that screw up features for the phone that many were looking forward to. I just hope that some companies have a solution for us in a couple months.

Seems Verizon is offering Qi charging because there is also a Verizon branded version of this back cover for about $20 more. The LG variant is only $29 with free shipping. Good price.

There are some of us who bought them and they didn't work. I haven't heard of one working from that seller. I just sent mine back.

It didn't on yours, several others had posted the same one worked on their G3.
Did you have it under the battery cover and NFC or on top?
In good time good solutions will come out and work fine.
May want to snag a verizon g3 back. The VZW website as well as csr's confirm the vzw g3 comes qi ready. Just need a qi charger.
It looks like the lg slim hard case and rubber case both come with wireless charging
I've got 2 Verizon G3s on the way, so we'll see.

I saw guys were trying to get qi to work on the att model. They have had no luck. Thought I'd give it a go.
So I took the charging coil out of my galaxy s3, taped it to my qi charger, and placed the contacts onto the pickups on the back of the g3.... And nothing.
I understand this is not an official g3 qi receiver, but I thought it would have worked. So either you need an official back cover OR I'm thinking att crippled any wireless charging that is not pma.
I purchased my wife an ASUS Padphone X from AT&T. They threw in a Duracell PMA wireless charger if you purchased the cover case. It would be fine if AT&T threw in a wireless charger to close the deal since they changed from Qi charging.

I am one of the people that got the back from eBay. I am starting to think the same thing. I just cannot believe that we all got bad backs. I wish there was some way I could look into this in root. Does anyone know where the files would be to understand what is happening with wireless charging? I think I may start a thread on this and hopefully a dev will chime in.
All these treads are doing is making me want to sell my att lg g3 when i get it and buy the tmobile one and unlock it. it has an unlock bootloader already and im sure they will root it soon
I thought I saw mention that the G3 was powermat wireless charging and not Qi standard?
That could be why some are having issues maybe?

Only AT&T uses power mat via their version of the quick circle case. All other variants, backs, and cases support qi. There is no mention that they removed qi from the phone. It shouldn't make a different because the receiver is just receiving a different frequency and transmitting it into charging. I could be wrong, but you should be able to use PWA or qi depending on what case/back you are using.
I just ordered this case on eBay for $6.73 shipped. It looks great! I have never been disappointed with Nillkin products so we will see.

Pretty sure it's for the G3 but you can always contact the seller just to make sure. I got mine from the seller below. As for working with Qi-Charger I'm thinking it might not since it won't be level but have no idea. I will let ya know in a few weeks when I should have my case and wireless charger.

i have the orange nilkiin case with an Icarez 9H Tempered Glass scrren protector. i have AT&T so i had to buy the folio case, wonderful PMA, and i dremelled it down, so it snaps right in place.i can confirm the bumper case fits nicely with the protector, and wirelessly charges with no issues.
i tried the Qi USB receiver, but the phone kept telling me about it being a slow charge. which it was, didnt even get full overnight. anyway, just posting my findings.

I got the orange one last week, loved it so much that I've ordered a blue one too. It works fine with my Nokia DT-910 charging stand but you have to make sure it's dead centre or it won't charge.
got my red one this afternoon. the polycarbonate shell have glossy finish, and fits really perfectly. the front and rear lips do a pretty well job keeping the phone from the surface.
will post pics as soon as i get home.

no I have the AT&T variant. there is no qi charging in that only PMA. you can buy a Qi USB receiver.
Well, this sucks! I got the black case today. I love the feel and design. The gray rubber frame kills it for me, though. I was hoping for black front like the others. At least it looks like the other colors are have the black rubber.
Oh well, in the junk drawer it goes. The Tech21 goes back on.
