Well sort of. Its based of slimkat which is aosp. I'm just sharing the link, I'm downloading it now but a few sprint users claim it works.

Yeah, I saw that, does anyone know if the sprint version is based on the N9000 and N9005 version on MIUI's site?

Not positive, but I think 9005. Anyway I could not get a signal at all. Have you tried it?

I believe that if it will flash that you will have to flash a modem since it would contain the international modem pre installed, but I haven't tried the install yet, I may soon though.
It should work out the box. But it's not detecting our sim cards. It's based on the slim rom hlte device tree, which will work on our phones

I am looking forward to a port of the tw version of MIUI.
Tried it
I tried it on our device, and it seems to work ok. It is definitely not a daily driver, but runs smooth. The mobile data doesn't work, but calls and texts come through. The rest of the bugs are true, where vibration on touch doesn't work. other than that it seems to work.
Is anyone having problems with their phone service? I can't text or call D;

After setting network o can make calls but not disconnect from them. The dev seems to say it works but its not. Whish more devs would get active in porting it. It seems so close to actually working finally.

Just wondering if these could run tmobile roms would love to bring back wifi calling natively rather than using apps and things of that nature. Tried a few searches on here couldn't come up with anything that was solid.
You can make ROMs for other carrier work, but not without some extra work to replace certain files. However, wifi calling requires carrier support. It's not a feature that's going to work on Verizon. The phone system has to know how to route your number, and it can't do that without carrier support.

Ahh ok because I know on the I317 I can put a tmobile rom on it and I am able to use the wifi calling feature I thought maybe it would be a similar process.

If it is a TW ROM you can flash Scotts patch afterwards and will be fine. AOSP will require some modifying but its honestly fairly easy to get it up and running. If there are bugs you'll have difficulty figuring them out but with help from the community you would most likely be able to debug and fix any issues.

I like the WiFi calling feature. Right now with service FUBAR in my area for what they say is a couple of weeks I actually need it. Could it be as simple as transferring a few apks like the phone, etc... or is it more complex than that. Forgive my ignorance in advance I just switched to T Mobile to get custom recovery back but I am running into all sorts of weird stuff I haven't seen before. I guess it's 4.4 related or even bugs in the S5 rollout.
I have a rooted SM-G900T with custom recovery to address the reply below. I want to be able to have wifi calling on any klte device Firmware based ROM-- namely the SM-G900F Firmware based ROMs.
Thanks a lot for any help at all....

You need either:
1. Native T-Moble phone with wi-fi calling standard like SM-G900T.
2. If you're rooted w/ non-stock ROM (but still has to be T-Mobile phone), the ROM you're using needs to be based off stock Tmo firmware and have the correct code in it to work.
You will not get wi-fi calling on non-Tmo phone or non-Tmo firmware (like int'l firmware runnng on Tmo phone).

Sorry for being vague, I meant computer code (programming language) for the Wifi calling to work. This will only work on native Tmo phones.

So, it's built into TMo's Firmware overlay? Since all these models are identical it stands to reason that firmware could be altered and/or apks added to make it work. The "code" might be applied or incorporated. Might. Unless it's proprietary. After all the SM-G900T hardware is identical to a SM-G900F.

Seems to only affect people who are using the Verizon LG G3 on a GSM network.
Any idea which app is causing the popup?
This is on every 5.0 rom I have used
i have this problem toם ....????
I got this problem too, as long as I turned on data it pops up and never stop popping. I've tried to adjust the call forwarding option on the phone app, but it doesn't work. It happens only on one specific sim card which is without call forwarding service itself. It happens on all 5.0 roms that's a pain!
hope this helps
only work around i have found is to change to 2G and the popup will only show up once and after you dismiss it all is well. downside is that 2G is quite slow to browse and download but is works well for messaging like whatapps etc. i hope they can find a fix for this soon its the only reason why i changed back to stock..
same problem here. subscribed, hopefully someone finds a fix!
Apparently connect 2G this problem is significantly reduced.
It worked rom illusion.

Same issue for me. Really sucks. Ive been using a latest version of pac roms untill a fix is found. If anyone knows of a way to read what causes the pop up i will work on that. Something like notification tracker but for popups. Also using this phone on straight talk.

I got extremely tired of these pop ups as I'm sure many of you are tired as well so i took a chance all or nothing with a theory @daniel4653 came up with.
NOTE: Its not a fix for the VS985 ROMs just a bypass until the VS985 ROMs are fix.

Put both on your sdcard or internal memory
Boot into recovery
DO A FULL WIPE
Install illusion ROM
DO NOT REBOOT AFTER FLASHING THE ROM!
Install Optimized SM-4.9.3 Kernel V2.2 for VS985
Reboot and enjoy a pop up free lollipop ROM
I installed gapps after i saw that the ROM booted.
I have been using it for about 2hours and no pop ups in sight and all seems to be working. I've tested camera/video recording, calls in/out going, mic and speakers work and all sensors seems to be functional also. Not sure if I will experience any battery issues I will have to test it out and see.
I'm guessing this should work with other lollipop AOSP ROMs as long as they support other kernels.
I'm going to compare the ROMs and see if i can figure out a fix for the VS985 ROM until then this should work for all GSM users. :highfive:

No worries. I'm glad you wrote it up. I was going to do it but I got caught up with work.
For anyone having problems with doing Wi-Fi calling I have found a permanent solution that seems to work, at least for the Pure Nexus rom. The build dated 8-07-2015 for some reason will not work with Wi-Fi calling. The fix is to apply the radio from factory image from the latest build from Google for T-Mobile which is LYZ28J.
I have a link here to my google drive with the file below:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bw_st8EHY1jVOEh1bG5NYnFGb2s
to apply the radio, you must open up a command prompt and put the phone into the bootloader.
the command to apply the file will be: fastboot flash radio "[location]radioname.img"
Example: fastboot flash radio c:\android\sdk\platform-tools\radio.img
I have confirmed this working on two devices running Pure Nexus rom build 8-07-2015. As for other builds this may be a viable option!

You would have to ask your carrier regarding that. I would call them and ask them if you use Wi-Fi calling will you be charged long distance? They may say yes or no. You aren't running off their cell tower, although it does go through their network. The answer could be 50/50... but it is worth asking at least.
I can't believe they charge you for long distance.... thats insane. They haven't done that in the US now for almost 15 years.

No, the rom itself needs to support the option. If the rom doesn't support it, then switching to this radio will not make it magically work. Ontop of the rom, the kernel needs to support it as well.

If you have Wi-Fi calling enabled, and you have Wi-Fi as the preferred calling method, you will see that while making a call it will say Wi-Fi call, then when you pull down your notification drawer, where it gives you your signal strength and says "T-Mobile" it will instead say "T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling". That's how you can ensure it's working.

It's so weird that only Pixel Experience works fine. I think I am gonna stick with it, for now.
Tip from me , do not fiddle with the Network settings alot , for example do not set the network to WCDMA/GSM mode. Use the modes that are higher in the menu with lots of Network modes.
Same issue here
I have the same issue- the 4G volte Airtel is not stable at all after installing all kinds of oreo roms.
Eventually i had to install the Europen version of MIUI rom which works so fine.
There is no issue when i use the MIUI basaed rom. however all other sorts of oreo roms have unstable thing.

It's a custom ROM problem, my guess is the ROM supports loads of network modes while the phone doesn't. But the thing is you won't lose signal service after u change it but after a restart. This was especially a problem for me because i do not use 4G which is enabled by default. I'm on a modded MIUI Rom now, no such problems here...
